Antidotes

Hi is it true that homeopathic remedies can antidote one another or is it an ancient thing?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ancient thing means? Did you think it was a myth? :) No. Whenever a remedy creates unwanted symptoms and there needs to be intervention homeopaths would use anti dotes. Sometimes the remedies need not be listed anti dotes. Anti doting can also be done in more than one way.

Ancient meaning it's old as the materia medica has old info from 2001. For example arsenic album and china should this be taken with half an hours difference as both of them usually cancel each other out as I saw on the materia medica website ?

Anti doting is dynamic in homeopathy than something static or fixed. Some anti dotes may also be complementary. In that case the canceling effect won't be absolute. Here Ars and China are complementary to each other so they are not likely to cancel each other entirely. Unless there is a reason to give them both they can be tried separately.

So in this case is it better to take arsenic and china together or separately ?

I do not know the case so it'd be difficult to comment. When in doubt always do them separately to evaluate them individually. Let's say there is a blood loss due to some reason while taking Ars alb, china could be used to help with weakness considering it's an acute situation. In chronic states there is no such necessity.

what do you mean by in "chronic cases there is no necessity" as in taking them together or separately ?

Chronic is opposite to acute. Chronic states do not pose immediate threat like acutes. So in chronic states one need not use more than one medicine at a time or quick rotation to prevent worsening of a situation.

right ok yes my condition is chronic. Hence why I thought arsenic should be taken individually to china. Usually are these remedies to be taken together with a gap of 15 to 30 mins in chronic conditions ?

In acutes they need to be taken with a smaller gap like half an hour gap, but if your case is chronic there is no set rules. You can separate the remedies by matter of days or even weeks. But yes you could also separate them by a gap of a few hours like three, six or eight.

Right ok so I completed taking arsenic and now I am taking china I separated this from each other because I didn't want either one to cancel each other one out. Hope that's ok ? Need some reassurance that what I am doing is correct.

Also, if I was to decide to take arsenic 30c first then China 30c with a 20 to 30 min gap three times a day would this also be fine? Or vice versa so china first then arsenic ?

Again difficult to comment on specifics without knowing the case. And I don't know why you are particular about repeating one and the other within 30 minutes gap but I have given some generic advice that you can always use to good effect.
