Whether Symphytum Officinale antidotes Cantharis?
Dear All,My Uncle, aged 71 years, is taking Hormone Therapy (a kind of allopathic treatment to keep Prostate C_a_n_c_e_r cells' growth in control) for last 10 months and simultaneously taking homeopathic medicines for last 4-5 months for the same. Often, he consults the same Homeopathic Doctor for other ailments like high blood pressure, high blood sugar, etc and also taking Cantharis 200 CH to get relief from painful urination.
Recently, he was advised to take Symphytum officinale 200 CH to get rid of knee pain. Before buying the medicine, I did a little research and found that this drug antidotes to Canthar. (Green’s Herbal), as per Materia Medica by Mr. John Henry Clarke. However Mr. Clarke's relationship page about Cantharis shows no antidote relationship between Cantharis and Symphytum Officinale.
Relationship pages for Symphytum Officinale from Boericke and Boger also do not mention any link between Symphytum Officinale and Cantharis, so I am clueless whether giving Symphytum Officinale to him would undo the benefits delivered by Cantharis.
I request all to please share their valuable guidance in this regard.
Kind regards,
Chitrangda Sharma

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I don’t think that Symphytom antidotes cantharis
No contest but Cantharis may not be the right remedy for painful urination that too prolonged use
