desperate for medical attention- acne

I have posted entries on this site a few times, but have not had a chance to speak to a professional one on one regarding my health problem.

I know that in Homeopathy there is no one medicine for all peoples. I'm basically here to request for some attention from a professional.

I have cystic acne, am 25 years old, is worse during menstrual cycle, and have scarring due to it. I've heard of Arnica as a possible cure. But the symptoms of arnica do not really match my symptoms. I had bought calcarea sulphurica and graphites, I took them for two days and stopped because I was worried about any possible damage to my system that I might not be aware of. But I think after stopping it got a little worse, and also my period has not helped either. I'm wondering is it ok that I take the two remedies together for a while to see if it helps.

If anyone is willing to treat me, or atleast take some time to evaluate me, I would be really grateful. I can provide details...I am eagerly waiting and am desperate for help.

Kindly forgive me for saying this, but please do not give me one word answers about taking whatever remedy comes to mind...because I believe that is kind of shallow... my symptoms are not being treated fairly by me blindly following a random drug that has seemed to work for people with many varying symptoms than mine.

Thanks...sorry if i seem rude. I'm just frustrated at this point with my persistent acne.

Thanks for hearing me out,

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You have used the correct remedy Arnica 30c for your Acne.

In order to convince yourself about the efficacy of Arnica you are advised to type ACNE in the Search Forums window on the left of this screen and read about the curative aspects of this remedy directly posted by fellow sufferers.

I still have not recieved a response for this post. I'm sorry but did I say anything wrong. Please help me out. Anyone?

I shall repeat the instructions to use Arnica 30c to cure Acne which I advised you to get from the Search Forums window on the left of this page.

Insert 3 pellets of Arnica 30c into a 500ml bottle of Spring water which you can get from any supermarket.

Shake the bottle hard every time before you sip a teaspoonful twice daily an hour before meals in the morning and an hour after at night.

You can expect your acne to improve in a week and it should be cured in 2 weeks with no new lesions forming. If you use Arnica you should not use any other remedy or drug.

You might like to know that those who help patients on this forum are usually not professionals who like to share their experience in using homeopathic remedies in a manner that does not conform to the strict classical method that some professionals use. Y, ou are advised if you still insist on consulting one to go to the nearest homeopath in your city.

Mr. De Livera,
Thank you very much for your response. I am sorry, I did not see your previous response to me. Actually, I have been quite frustrated with my acne, and also am struggling to study for my finals in school at the time...so it has all been too much for me to handle.

I will carry on with Arnica 30c for two weeks the way that you recommend.

Again, please excuse me if I said anything wrong. I respect your professionalism and knowledge. I have read many posts of people that have benefited from your advice. Thanks again.

Yo useem to be very mad at your acne....and why not...for a 25 year girl it is the most frustrating thing.

Come, lets understand your problem and give you guidance.

When did it start??

Any problems you face at the time of menses?

Any emotional 'downs' in the past? what sort?

illnesses in child hood?

what are your preffered foods?? and eating habits..also preferred eating time.

Texture of your hair..dry/smooth/siklen/tangled ?

Reply, will help.

why did you choose Cal. Sulph and Graphites ??

Dandruff ???
PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Hi Pankaj,

Thanks for your reply. You're right, I am very frustrated with my acne.

It started from the age of 16. During my menses, I get very moody before and during, very irritated, and sensitive. Sometimes, I'm just fine, but sometimes I have very emotional ups and downs.

I did have a big problem with constipation in the past, but now it's no problem at all.

I did have emotional 'downs', I went through many tough experiences as a young girl, but now I'm very happy in my life with my husband.

I have great memories from my childhood, other than chicken pox and measles, I didnt have any other sicknesses.

My preferred foods are pretty much vegetarian. I'll have turkey sandwiches often, sometimes chicken. I have breakfast at 10am, lunch at 1 or 2pm. Dinner at 6pm. pretty normal. I like chocolate, sometimes I'll indulge in it, but that is rare.

I think I stay nervous often, I notice myself biting my lip constantly. I stress out very easily, and handle it for the most part well. I think way too much...have many thoughts in the mind at once.

My hair is very smooth, silky, easy to handle. However, it looks dry most of the time, and tangles sometimes. Also, I've lost a lot of hair during the past year. Lately, my dad has made me a nice shampoo with chamomile and baby's formula so that has helped. Also I try to get a scalp massage as often as I could, and that relaxes me.

I chose cal sulph and graphites because that is what I stumbled upon in the supermarket for acne and acne scars. I bought and used it for 2 days along with echinacea tincture. There seemed to be some improvement, however after the 2nd day I stopped everything, because I felt it was the correct way that I started a regimen without getting a doctor's recommendation. However, out of desperation I started it again after a couple of days, and used it for 3 more days, I started getting more acne , and it was quite painful, not just the pus like ones, but a couple of big and bumpy ones also. Now, the remedy has finished.

So I went to the supermarket today, and purchased arnica 30c per Joe's recommendation, and I'm thinking to start that soon. Well, your feedback is definitely appreciated. Another kind person also send me a reply with a questionaire, so I'm pretty lucky to have so many smart people trying to help me.

I also posted emails regarding my fatigue during and before menses. and hyperpigmenation in arms and legs...

Sorry this reply is so long. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Joe,

Today is my second day with the arnica wet dose formula.

I haven't noticed any new lesions forming...haven't quite experienced much yet.

Last night I did sleep well, but also had many family related dreams.

I still have some painful acne on my cheeks (left one), they itch really bad.

Will keep you updated. Thanks
zigkaddy last decade
Do you get headaches...once in a while??

Are you hungry in the middle of the night?
PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Dear Khatera,
I have acne as well, and I've had very positive results using Joe's arnica suggestions. I've been taking the Arnica for about 2 weeks. I have severe insomnia, and right now where I live it is almost midnight and I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning, but I cannot sleep and I desperately need help with that if anyone can help me out. For your acne, FOLLOW JOE'S INSTRUCTIONS. Give it at least two weeks, and you should see some good results. My insomnia is stress related and I also don't cope with stress very well. Just thought I'd mention that.

I'm heading up to bed to attempt sleep one more time...
Prayers and suggestions for that would be greatly appreciated.

Sally Lue,
If your insomnia is related to 'too many ideas for the future crowding in your mind' before going to bed...then take :

Coffea 200... two doses in a gap of one hour before hitting bed.

If it is depression related (brooding over the past -- negative turn of events), let me know more about you...will help.

Best wishes,

Hi Sally,

Thanks for your message, it was very encouraging and supportive. I noticed a couple of new pimples on my face today, but it was also most likely related to stress from studying for exams.

I don't know too much about relief from insomnia, because I sleep well for the most part. However, in the past, I've tried melatonin, and it does make you sleepy headed like in 30 minutes from taking it. But, follow the homeopath's suggestion, because they obviously know more regarding this. You can count on my prayer for you though.

zigkaddy last decade
Hi Pankaj,

I rarely have headaches. I only am hungry in the middle of the night if I am up studying or something. I never wake up from sleep out of hunger.

I find that I have stress often from issues that make me angry, sometimes they are small issues, sometimes big, however they are all important to me. However, I dont understand why I have this anger issue, because I honestly have a really great healthy life and lots of love.

I do have insecurity issues, they get really bad sometimes. Like I said earlier, it's the anger, and resentment towards certain peoples actions...that really bother me. Also, I mentioned that I find myself really tired and lazy most of the time. I start my day pretty well, but it goes downhill as the day proceeds. Although, my diet is pretty good, I keep sugars at a minimum, and drink lots of water. I really want to gain my energy back, I'm at a pretty good weight right now, 5'5 tall, weighing 133 lbs. I do need to lose a few pounds, but it should not be the cause of my tiredness.
Also, around the eyes, I am losing volume in the skin under my eyes, which makes me look even more tired, although I had more than enough sleep. People think that I havent ate for days..It's really unbelievable.

i was advised to take pulsatilla by one of the homeopaths...so I will give that a try after my arnica regimen.

take care all,
zigkaddy last decade
Yes your symptoms co-relate to PULSATILLA

take in 30 potency four times a day...once improvement sets in....will reduce frequency of dose.

Also on Sunday's take a dose of SULPHUR 200 (for three consective Sundays...no more)
One dose each Sunday.
no Pulsatilla on Sunday.

Thank you so much for looking into my case, Pankaj.

I will update you on my progress with the medications once I begin them.

To Pankaj Varma,

I think you're right about the 'too many ideas crowding my mind' thing. I have also been extremely stressed out lately, which I think has a whole lot to do with my insomnia. I don't have depression though, for which I'm very thankful.
I have tried coffea, but I only tried 30c, and I have recently discovered that potency makes a huge difference. I will definitely give the 200 a try!!!
Thank you so much for that suggestion.

To Khatera,

I have tried melatonin before, and sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I thank you very much for your suggestions though.

I hope you have good luck with any homeopathy you try for your acne, as I know how frustrating and resiliant acne can be.

Sally Lue,
Take Coffea 200 as suggested by me...you will have a sound sleep and sweet dreams too !!!

Hi Sally Lue,

I'm kinda stressed out because today is the 4th day on the arnica remedy, and I'm not noticing any difference in my skin, except that it's worse.

I do have lots of gas though, sorry to let you know. I have been going to the bathroom a lot which is rare for me.

By the way, I have been drinking tea, I dont know if that matters.

Please write to me when you get a chance.

Thanks, K

Hello Joe,

I have been taking arnica wet dose for four days...and I havent noticed anything different in my skin.

But, I have noticed stomach problems which I mentioned to Sally in the previous note. Any comments?

I have been drinking tea, I can't do without it for studying. I still have fatigue and stuff, but for that I will start pulsatilla after this remedy.

Your comments are appreciated.

zigkaddy last decade
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I missed my nightly dose tonight because I am not at home where my remedy is. Is that going to totally mess up my 4 days of treatment so far?
