Rosacea of nose and lower lip

ROSACEA on nose, lips, has been going on for 5+ years
Female, age 60

Nose: appears red, slightly swelled, with small pimples/pustules that can get sensitive to touch.

Lips: small pimples/pustules on perimeter of lower lip

Cheeks: sometimes flushed from heat, eating spicy foods

Aggravations: fatty foods aggravate, spicy food aggravates, salty food aggravates, hot water from the shower aggravates and touch/rubbing the nose or washing it aggravates, increases redness,
eating too many raw fruits and vegetables aggravate.

Cannot drink alcohol as it has always caused flushing of face

Diet: vegetarian, moderate exercise/activity

Considering Carbo Veg.

Any advice/suggestions?

Thank You Kindly,
Nat

Dear Nat,
Can you please answer for me a few additional questions?

- can you think of a specific cause for this condition?
- does it hurt you at all or it's only a bit sensitive when you touch it? (does it scratch or burn for instance?)
- do you take any medication/cream do make it go away and if yes, can you specify which one?
- can you add some additional, concomitant problems you have, to have a bigger picture of your chronic condition?

Thank you, I'm already looking at options but would like some additional infos to confirm.

HAVE SULPHUR 200 EARLY MORNING EMPTY STOMACH ONE DOSE FOR THREE DAY AND THEN START CARBO VEG 30 THREE TIMES A DAY.

IN ADDITION TAKE NAT MUR 6X AND SILICEA 6X FIVE TABS OF EACH THREE TIMES A DAY.

IF YOU WANT YOU MAY LIKE TO GIVE WEEKLY FEEDBACKS.

Because of all the modalities you mentioned, I would go for Arsenicum who matches the following aggravations:
salt, fruits, vegetables, fat, alcool (inc. wine).
Also, it's a remedy for red pustules/skin eruptions.
But I would try the 30C dilution because it's such an "old" condition.

Additional bio:

not sure of the cause...heat in the liver?

the nose does not hurt but the small pimples/pustules are sensitive to touch. There is no itching or burning but some slight tingling sensation is noticed before sleep. When eating fatty/salty foods, especially in the evening, nose can get shiny/red.

My hands have always been cold to touch, even if I feel warm inside. They perspire sometimes, especially in a hot environment.

With age, there is higher sensitivity to heat.

I am sensitive to caffeine. It increases perspiration under arms, hands and feet.

Digestion is reliable and sleep reasonable.

I do not take any medications or use special creams. I take a weekly vitamin B-12 and vitamin D

My constitution is on the choleric side. Mother was hot tempered, nervous,in a hurry and father mild mannered/methodical. I am somewhere in the middle, and a little on the studious side.

Thank you for your help!

sorry about my late reply, I wanted to check with my new homeopathic software before, and I only got it today. It seems that CAUST. 30C would be the best fit, it's the main remedy for Rosacea. It would definitely be a safe bet. Do me a favor and don't mix remedies! I don't know why so many people on this forum advise many remedies at once, this is a big no-no in classical homeopathy (according to its founder, Hannhemann)
So this is how you take the remedy: the first pellet can be taken as is on the tongue, and then you put 2 pellets in a bottle of water (small or big doesn't matter, but it has to be half-full) and before taking a dose (=a sip) you bang the bottle 10 times against the palm of the other hand. I would suggest to take 3 doses (3 sips) per day and let me know how things are improving (or not). Then we'll adjust accordingly.

Thank You Meir for your thoughtful/kind advice and for going into detail about the protocol for taking homeopathic remedies.
