redness/constant pinkish color on face
For over a month now I have been having pinkish color on my cheeks. Initially this happened more in the evening and was most pronounced at night. It would then go away or be at a minimum during the day.Now its getting worse.
The pinkishness turns into a blochy redness. And it occurs most of the time. Only rarely I dont see it. Its not consistent what time of the day I dont see it, but what is consistent that I am seeing it daily and its always there in the evening and night.
-Usually worst on the cheekbones (apple of cheek...)
-Gets worse with the sun. The red color deepens and it spreads all over the cheeks.
-Texture becomes leathery.
-Lately feeling itchiness on cheeks as well.
-Worse with exertion or exercise as well.
-A couple of times it was more like a rash, though I couldnt pinpoint the sources (food or otherwise) that caused it. It happened around noon.
-Use cetaphil cleanser on face. Cetaphil soap otherwise.
-I am allergic to grass pollen (abundant at this time of the year), taking antihistamine for it for over a year.
-36 yr old female. Hands & feet always cold, irritable, overweight, sedentary life, afternoon craving for carb and sugary things, dry skin , sinusitis, joint pain and stiffness, anxiety.
The only thing I can think of that might have caused is that I started using about 6 weeks ago was Oil of Olay Age Defying moisturizer (SPF15) , Oil of Olay Night Cream (age defying series), and Oil of Olay Total Effects moisturixer. Initially I used the night cream daily and one of the moisturizers mentioned above during the day. My skin was very dry and using these made it smooth.
I have gone off it for a week and then tried it for a day. There is some increase but not much.
I tried to switch to different brand sunscreen, also tried one with titanium dioxide(physical sunscreen), but all seem to make it worse. Note that it becomes worse even when I stopped using sunscreen as well.
(Is there a homeopathic sunscreen or somthing like that ?)
I also feel itchiness on other parts of my face, neck, and ears (where I dont put the cream at all).
Not sure if its rosacea in initial stage. Have not seen a dermatologist as yet.

I took the first dose of Belladona 30 as suggested this morning. After about half hour I started getting itchiness and redness on the cheeks. Is that normal reaction to Belladona or was it a coincidence that the itching and redness started today after taking the medicine. Thanks

Not Great. Get puffy sometimes but donot bleed.

Yes, I guess so.

Sometimes I do get headaches. About couple a week.

Regular, bearable pain in the first day or two, lasts 3-4 days, not scanty but not too much either.

Yes..I do get out of breath..climbing stairs do that. Sometimes even while sitting I get that feeling. Allopathic doc said the latter was caused by anxiety.

The headaches occur at different times of the day. But its usually day not night.
Headache is at different parts of the head. Lot of time its in the front and sort of seems to originate from my eyes...that is the feeling I get when its that type of headache.
But it sometimes is at the top of the head too (then no connection to the eyes is felt)
I tolerate most of my headaces. But if it is a migraine headache it usually is unbearable I have to take painkiller and about 5 times in the past 3 years it has stayed upto a week. With Migraine, I get Nausea (no vomiting) , sensitivity to light.
If its not a migraine, I usually dont get nausea.

I do not have Sangunaria so will have to order it.
Yesterday I had started on Belladona. Is it ok if I finish the belladona course for a week as suggested and if no change by then , I can take Sangunaria which should have arrived by then ?

I took Belladona 30 for 7 days. I found the redness to be reduced by 75-80 %. And there are times during the day when I dont see redness at all..not even a pinkish tinge. So, definitely an improvement.
However, sometimes still there is a pinkish hue on teh cheeks though not as dark or red as before.
Please advise how to proceed further, and if the redness comes back more what I should do in that case also. THanks
