PCOs with HYpothyroidismHi, i am 36 years old woman, living in U.S, from 10 years. Diagnosed Hypothyroid from 8 years, was on allopathic medicine since 1998.
Menarche age -14 years. Had bleeding for 15 days on first period. Continued to have irregular periods with
anywhere between 11-15 days bleeding with each period. Always painless.
Occasional fevers of mild nature with pulsations in arms. This used to happen whenever i overstressed, didn't
know anything about Thyroid that time. Stopped after starting thyroid medication
Diagnosed with PCOs in 1998. Had infertility problem. Had a baby 3 years ago after going through IVF.
6 years ago blocked out for few seconds, after waking up had weakness of left arm, nothing negative was found
in MRI, CT,ECG etc. A Neurologist suggested i cut down on thyroid dose, was taking 75 mcg. alternating 50 mg.
that time. For 8 months, weakness continued in the arm. Had a reely feeling in my left side face. Also had a
everything spinning feeling which was only for a day when i went to the shopping mall after the blockout
day. I am not the same since this incident happened. Was sad always thinking about children, depressed all
the time worrying about my health. After 6-7 months of suffering found some good friends and was ok.
After having the baby again in 2003, the weakness started bothering. Had constant fatigue after delivery.
Could not be bonded with baby right away. Breast fed the baby for 6 months along with formula. Had some
gestational diabetes in 7 month, was OK with some diet change. Normal Delivery but had long labor. Thyroid
medication was increased from 50 mcg. to 100 mcg in 2005. Didn't feel well after that.
Not able to be happy in life. Never had love from mother. Always had some sadness in life. Was happy only
DEC 2005, was trying to take up a software job, had some help to take care of my son. Just when i was ready
for job, my in-laws had to leave us, disappointed with that, yet continued to compromise. But in Dec, 2005
started having dizzy feeling with tingling & numbness in my left arm, left leg. Whole left side body was like
shaking, with chills feeling. Full of fatigue, left sided dizziness. Went to all specialists, one of the
doctors suggested to stop thyroid medication. Tingling & numbness was less after that, but fatigue continued.
One of the Neurologists suspected it could be either Multiple Sclerosis Or Migraines.
Was frightened after that, MRI was negative, all other tests were negative, left to india for Homeopathic
treatment. Was off from thyroid already, went to a Homeopath who prescribed CARCINOSIN - 200 (was given in
Jan 2006) just one dose. Felt better after that, i was told to not to take Thyroid again. Returned to US in
May 2006. Was in good spirits when i came back. After 4-5 days, again sad, fatigued, not interested in doing
anything, not being able to take care of my son. Bored & hopeless.
In April 2006, started hearing ringing in left ear after getting wet in rain in india. Ignored it initially,
continued to have the Tinnitus in left ear, went to a E.N.T in June2006, he did some simple tests, was found
BILATERAL NYSTAGMUS IN BOTH EYES AT 10 DEGREE FIXED POSITION. Again did MRI- contrast this time, nothing else
negative found. Sent me to Ear specialist, he said i could be having basal migraines and prescribed something
which i still have to try. Both opined i could have had the Nystagmus from my childhood. From jan 2006 had a
feeling of shuttering in my eyes, now i keep having a feeling og my eye moving in my left eye. Can not keep
it still. No major visual problems. Vision 20/20
In Dec 2005 my Internal specialist found Ear infection in both ears, she did some other tests, was told in
april 2006 that i was exposed to LYME DISEASE previously sometime. She prescribed antibiotics. I could not
try them right away as i was told not to take any other medicine until 6 months. My symptoms that time were
left sided reely feeling, numb feeling whole my left body, tingling & numbness in arms & in left leg. More
when i wake up from sleep. Very tired feeling specially after ascending stairs. Numb feeling in left ear, left side
face, below left eye, left eyelid, pain behind jaws, particularly more on left. When tried antibiotics in July 2006, felt relieved from
these. Went to my internist who suggested i should be taking more antibiotics still. She had me on Synthroid
25 mcg now, yet to correct the dose after a month.
Though i feel much better i keep having lot of problems. Reeliness is much better, but still feel numb in
left ear, ringing in left ear -now occasionally. Fatigue is better.I am worried about my health in future.
I always missed parental love in life. Never got mother's love from my childhood, i understood that when i was little. Husband is good, but not so sharing most of the
times. Son is very demanding, sometimes i cry a lot helpless. Happy when i am with friends. Find it hard to
find good friends though.
My current symptoms are mainly numb feeling in left ear. Ringing in left ear, sometimes thumping, clicking.
Pain in jaws, behind the ear, more on leftside. All the symptoms more before periods. Periods are like every
6-7 weeks. Bleeding was for 11 days in July 2006 and had pain specially in both ovarion regions.
This month period started heavy, painful, passing clots, bright red blood right away. yet do not know how many days it's going to be. sometimes have burning
feeling in hands, numb feeling in arm waking up in the morning.
Have eczema in both hands. Had eczema on and off from years but only mild, always in hands. Developed this severly in NOV 2005 along with other symptoms. Was very severe when it
started with scabs & bleeding. Used some ointments but never got relief, Also developed some Pus filled boils very big on my left thigh, left leg in Dec 2005. had one on right thigh also, that time Skin specialist gave an injection on the right thigh on the boil, after that i developed ringing & other symptoms in DECEMBER 2005.
Now i have this new feeling sometimes bothering me. Before periods ihave this pulsation feeling in left side of face. I have afeeling that my chin is making unwanted movements when i am concentrating in cooking etc. If something drops from hands or if something suddenly happens, my chin is moving down a little like 'Ticks'. I am worried about this thinking may be something i am developing. Also i have this click sound i hear when i keep my head still, as if something moved in my head. It is more like what joints make noise. I always had this clicking sounds in my joints, from my childhood. Now i walk everyday, feel better after starting walking.
P.S. ***IN HOPE OF GETTING REGULAR CYCLES I TRIED DIFERENT TYPE OF NATURAL MEDICINES ALL ALONG. BEFORE MY FIRST BLACKOUT IN YEAR 2000, I WAS TRYING SOME HERBS. AGAIN I USED AYURVEDIC MEDICINE PRESCRIBED BY A AYURVEDIC DOCTOR FROM INDIA IN 2005. I INITIALLY FELT BETTER WITH AYURVEDA BUT WEAKNESS WAS INCREASED & I STOPPED THE MEDICINE AFTER USING FOR 6 MONTHS. MY PERIODS WERE BETTER WHEN I WAS USING AYURVEDA. AFTER 2 MONTHS I DEVELOPED ALL MY RECENT PROBLEMS THOUGH PERIODS ARE BETTER FROM THAT TIME.
Thanks for taking time in reading this, i thank you all for doing a wonderful job here. I believe in Homeopathy ,i hope of hearing a good news/remedy from you. Thank you very much!
