I am now very close to a complete cure.I was mentioning my case just as a severe example of what can happen with a homeopathic palliation.

I always thought that we are on the same side of the tennis court.If you read all my posts, you can see they are always pertaining to the issues being discussed and not against any person.I again repeat my motto of life, 'There is only Love.It is Love which comes disguised as Hate'.

It is extemely enlightening to know how different homeopaths work.
Now if a patient comes with fever along with severe throat pain, can a single dose clear it. Yes, it does cure at times , many a time you need constant repetition of complementary remedies ,which take into consideration many symptoms-throat red, nose blocked, uvulva red and swallen and sever pain in throat /ear on swollowing. Maybe a dose of Phytolocca 200 may cure it Or a combination of Bell 30, Phy 30 and mer-iod-ruber 30 will cure it.
Now what is to be expected after a person gets cured- that he would not catch any other infection again , that he won't get a bad throat again.
Unless there is a predispostion of a person of catching same ailment again and again, a chronic remedy is not given, which will increase his immunity .
Similarly chidren's stomach problems , headaches, nausea will need constant repetition in acute cases .
Now I would like to understand that for daily sicknesses, how is it expected that only one dose of a remedy will be able to cure it

Whether a single remedy will cure or a series of remedies will depend upon the disease as well as the skill of the prescriber.For acute cases, if the prescriber recognises the remedy needed immediately, he prescribes and there is a rapid cure.If he is not able to recognise, then he can refer to a repertory like Boenninghausen's and just get the sensation, location, modalities and concomitants and then repertorize the symptoms.The remedy that comes on top would most likely cure.If a little bit of the disease remains, a complementary remedy or a related remedy will cure of course based on symptoms.

The limitation of homeopathy is only limited by the knowledge and skill of the homeopath in acute situations.

Regarding whether the person will get the infection again or not.He may or he may not.If he gets infected repeatedly by the same sort of symptoms, then it indicates acute flare ups of a chronic disease.A complete case needs to be taken to treat the person constitutionally.Once the constitution becomes strong, the person's resistance to diseases in general increases many fold.
