infant reflux

I have a 3 months old baby that suffers with infant reflux. The baby is breastfed. After looking for help on your forums I went ahead & tried taking silica 30, 1x a day for 3 consecutive days.
The amount of throwing up has improved however she does appear to be gassier after her feedings for a longer period of time.
On the directions for the silica 30 they recommend a dosage of 3x a day. Should I continue with the silica 30 1x a day until the reflux is gone or stop for a while & see if the problem worsens.
The baby is feeding a lot & her movements are normal.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Try Aethusa 30 one dose on a day and wait a week for results. Then post back.

If that does not work, try Lycopodium 30 once a day for a week.

The vomit of aethusa looks curdled, and is disproportionately higher to the quantity of milk taken.

The child gets exhausted and goes into a slumberous sleep after the vomit.

If this is the picture your child is presenting, Aethusa is going to help.Otherwise not.

lyco as a first medicine for any problem, even for adults is frowned upon some experienced doctors.

Lot more info is required to see whether it fits or not.

If your baby is breastfed, you should take the medicine, and the medicine reaches the baby through your milk.

A more detailed description of the problem, will help prescribers to zero in on the remedy, instead of guessing.

All infant refluxes are not same.Try to give in more detail.

I suggested lycopodium, mainly because of gas.

The baby never suffered much discomfort form the reflux but would throw up all day. Thankfully she sleeps through the night & after the last feed she falls asleep & does not throw up again.
As I mentioned I tried silica 30c, once a day for 3 days, but have not had the results I hoped for. The first day I took the silica, she had terrible hiccups after every feed but barely threw up at all. Day 2 she threw up half as much as she usually would but became very uncomfortable after feeds & would have huge belches. Day 3 onwards, she is back to throwing up but perhaps not quite as much as before but seems to be uncomfortable & far gassier after feeds. Fortunately she still sleeps throught the night and is her usual happy self.
As I mentioned the bottle of Silicia 30c that I have says to take it 3x a day between meals. Do I need to try it again on a different dosage or do you have any other suggestions

Once a day is just fine.

how much quantity does the baby throw up,eachtime?

Does she cry with pain?

If Silecia hasn't helped even after three days, it is unlikely to help.

After every feed, let the baby lie on your shoulder, and gently massage the baby's back. This will help the baby, to get rid of the excess gas,she takes during the feeding.

Never feed the baby while lying down. Always feed in sitting position, holding the baby in hands, across your breasts.

Many babies spit a little quantity of milk, after every feed. It is common, and there is no need to worry.

If this is the case, with your baby, stop all medication.

The baby is uncomfortable after feedings for upwards of an hour. She has over the past few weeks started arching her back & crying out in pain until the gas is gone.

O.K.

stop all the medication, feed the baby as per the procedure mentioned above, and see if it makes any difference.
