Dear Murthy and Kuldeep
I am very glad to note today that peace has finally been restored on the ABC.
Your constant attacks against each other may have prompted many members to shun it during the past few days as they may not have fully understood the real reason for this dispute which was basically caused by the fact that Murthy stood up for his Hyper classical interpretation of what he felt Homeopathy should be all about. It was fortunate that Kuldeep supported me in my quest to make Homeopathy more acceptable and more logical when used to help a patient. I believe I have succeeded at least in some small way to ensure that the pretense that has so far been the bane of homeopathy and its application thereof, by those who are qualified as they have been brainwashed into believing that the only way to heal is to use the classical system which basically strives to keep this precious science well above the reach of the common man, who like me has been introduced to this therapy as a skeptic, which I too was when in 1968 I was given a few pellets smaller than a mustard seed to treat my frequent colds that I suffered from weekly, for which the only treatment that I had been given by my doctors was Piriton which as could be expected left me in a state of suspended animation, and which would eventually have killed me long before I attained my 77th Birthday a few days ago.
I was intrigued with the cure of my colds with the remedy that I was given by a homeopath, Gelsemium, and I decided to make a study of this medicine that had cured me. I was not able to spend much time at that time in studying this science which intrigued me
as I was the head of a business organization in Colombo and was also deeply involved in commercial fishing with a fleet of ocean going vessels and was also in the throes of establishing the first project in the East for the Aquaculture of Shrimp, all of which took my time.
When I finally got down to analyzing the details of this science which was recorded in the many text books that I had obtained from B Jain, I at first refused to accept its philosophy as it seemed to be so very illogical where a remedy was diluted to infinitesimal proportions but still worked to cure the many ailments that afflicted mankind. I had living proof that I had been cured of my colds and decided to keep on with my studies which is when I was first introduced into the classical case taking procedure which made a bad situation worse for me as it too seemed to be so very unnecessary and archaic where a single remedy is selected by the homeopath to 'fit the picture' out of over 5000 remedies and this remedy is expected to work and help cure the patient. By that time which was a few years into my studies of this science, I decided that there was no valid reason to confuse the practicioner with unnecessary data to identify an ailment which was to be treated by that constitutional remedy which had to be selected in the homeopath's mind, all of which served to making this science even more mysterious in its impact on both the homeopath and his patient. I had discovered by that time that if any remedy helped a patient who presented say GERD the chances were good that it will also heal the next patient. This was of course the starting point of this controversy that has raged during the past week which I hope will now be history.
By that time I had obtained a few homeopathic remedies from a source in India and was using them to treat the usual ailments first on myself and later on the members of my family. I was intrigued with the successful outcome of my experiments in treatment and it was then that I decided to treat the members of my staff who also discovered that Homeopathic treatment from their boss seemed to be far more effective than the treatment that they received from their doctors whom they visited on a regular monthly basis for their ailments which I discovered were basically ranging from URT infections to problems associated with Hyperacidity. I seemed to have that magic touch which could help a patient and decided to go more deeply into this science and then discovered the ABC forum and a few others to which I first started to contribute in 2003.
I then discovered that I was being roundly criticized by classical homeopaths who resented my intrusion into their domain and often used to deride my efforts to use remedies as I now do in an allopathic manner to treat the disease presented by the patient instead of following the convoluted path towards identifying a remedy in the manner that is dictated by the strict classical rules.
It is just this outlook that has marked me out to be a maverick in homeopathy and when I was set upon by the classical sect in a manner that I resented as members may have discovered in the past, I decided that attack was the safest form of defense and so altered my approach to replying these unnecessarily harsh posts from the classical sect by giving them ample food for thought.
I believe that these constant attacks gave birth to the term 'Joepathy' which was used first as a derisive term to describe my therapy but when members who were healed by my therapy came to my defense this term seems to have stuck and stalwarts who uphold the classical system seem to be satisfied with my therapy as they have stated that they do not object as long as I do not classify it as Homeopathy. It is interesting to note that this term has been picked up by Google and all the other Search Engines and I would like emphasize that I was not responsible for this phenomenon.
I can assure these hyper classicalists that as far as I am concerned, it is not the terminology that matters in the cure but the CURE itself that is the reason for my presence on this and other forums. I would like to emphasize that I am not alone in my stand on my use of homeopathic remedies to help in curing disease. I have often mentioned in this forum that the large majority of homeopaths in the Indian subcontinent favour the use of my 'this for that' method of prescribing and the chances are remote that any one remedy can possibly have any negative effect on the patient as was predicted by so many classical homeopaths who seemed to resent the rate of success that followed my therapy.
It is indeed a pity that so much heat should have been generated in the past week by those who sought to justify these two diverging viewpoints as all that time could have been more usefully spent in a positive approach to helping patients in our own ways with our own approach to homeopathy.
It is my hope that peace will prevail in the future on the ABC and if we do have any opposing views on any matter it is best that they are discussed in private emails to each other out of the public gaze on a forum such as the ABC which is by far the most popular Homeopathic Forum in the world today.

Hi Ripas
Joe will not change at this age.Best thing is to concentrate on educating the masses, start treating our way, and showing results.
However hoarse,we may cry at the top of our voices, that joepathy can be dangerous, there will be some, who won't believe it.Let us leave them to their fate.
what is important is to reiterate our convictions with sound reasoning, time and again.
Prescribers like Joe has made it look so easy all these years, here on ABC.
Even the patients who visit here regularly got tuned to their methods.
We can only help them by telling the truth. Another way is by highlighting failed cases. As you say, many failed cases won't come back here to say so.
Hence the excuse 'silence means got cured.'In fact most of the times the reverse is true.Silence means got fed up.
The recent episodes on ABC are an example to this fact. Many of the regular prescribers here remained silent during th past few days.
Reason.. they are fed up.
So, unless a person says he is cured, and remain cured, particularly regarding chronic problems,we can take these claims of cure with a pinch of salt.
In the interest of the patients, and as part of true service to homeopathy, let us concentrate on educating the public in general, rather than targetting a few prescribers.
We keep telling that, their methods are dangerous. we keep giving sound examples. We keep telling how to solve the problems otherwise.
sooner than later, patients themselves will refuse to get trated by these 'this for that'prescribers.

Deal all,
A thread where someone is requesting help is not the place to air your differences. Where's the love?
Murthy, keep your complaints targetted at what people are saying rather than making insinuations about their character, or you shall be banned.

Very good Simon
What happened to your wisdom when a lady's private parts are being commented upon?
What happened to your wisdom, when I was being called names, and targetted personally?
you never uttered a word about the behaviour of such people, even with something like a reprimand, you come now, and say I will be banned.!!
That too when the differences were sorted out, and normalcy restored by our own efforts.
Anyway, your advice is well taken, and I will concentrate on what people said, rather than personalities.
If you still want to ban me,go ahead.I will keep helping the patients in whatever way I can.
I am glad atleast now, you remembered your rights. Please show the same resolve in future also.
All the best for your forum.
Murthy

It seems such a pity that so much time and energy is wasted by Murthy on just adopting his negative attitude towards his interpretation of homeopathy. If only he would open his classical eyes to the realities of this science of cure he will realize that it is the cure itself that really matters for the patient who is not bothered wether his cure is effected through classical homeopathy or by Joepathy.
It seemed to me when reading some of his posts in the recent past that Murthy was not always consistent with his attitude to homeopathy and preferred to take on some totally irrelevant matters which were so out of context that I was really concerned for him to figure out whether his writing on the forum could be a pointer to some deeper personal reason for his ultra aggressive attitude in his attacks against me which I decided to side step by not responding his posts.
He must understand that he is not doing this science which he interprets from only a classical angle, any good and has served to frighten away visitors to the ABC who would not understand what this furore is all about.
I do hope that Murthy will not force the Moderator to exclude him from posting here as he will not then have any forum to voice his extreme views which I understand have been frowned upon in other forums too. He is a very experienced homeopath and we have been friends in the past and I do not see any reason for me to not continue in this friendship in the future as well.

You are mistaken, Dear Joe
Murthy's views were appreciated, are being appreciated and will be appreciated on all forums.
Perhaps you can substantiate your claim where such thing happened.
He will remain a friend to you.
A difference of opinion need not spoil the friendship.

A friend is more beneficial than an enemy.
It is an art to be friends as well have a different opinion.
By treating patient remotely on internet, if we treat 1/3 of them, it is a lucky thing.
Some time when we see a patient in person whole prospective as well prescription changes.
One a man met on tea stall and asked me for medicine of piles. He said he went to hundred homeopaths also. I gave him raw nux vomica and he started curing in hours.
Later on I regretted curing him, he was a local police inspector, a well known torturer, a butcher.
By seeing or knowing a patient prospective changes.
