Urgent help required
Hi there,My dad is currently in hospital following a hip replacement operation. Hip replacement operation seems to have been a success. However for the last two weeks he has been conspitated and passing clear water as opposed to stools. Last night he they inserted a tube in his nose to drain his stomach.Liquid looks green near nose but black in bag.He has distended stomach and lots of belching. He is on arnica for pain relief.He is waiting to be transferred to a general hospital today. Can anyone advise of remedy that may help? Also I know homeopaths don't like to name diseases but could anyone give me insight in to his bowel condition.?

Glad to note that your dad is on Arnica for pain relief after his surgery and I hope that you gave the remedy right after his surgery.
You may like to know that I too was in surgery 4 years ago and only used Arnica 30c dose 2 pellets every 2 hours for the first 2 days and later extended the timing between doses as the remedy took hold. I did not permit the usual morphine to be used and this created history in the hospital I was in Columbus OH. My recovery was much faster than with the standard treatment and I was discharged on the 5th day.
His constipation and his belching can be helped by Nat Phos 6x dose 4 tablets 3 times daily. However I cannot diagnose what the reason is for the constipation which may be due to the drugs he is taking today. The liquid which you state is being aspirated from his stomach can mean that his peristalysis is not working which could also account for his constipation and his doctors should be able to help.

Hi Joe and general manger,
Thanks for your rsponses. We gave him causticum 200 yesterday as it was the only remedy alongside arnica they had with them in the hospital.
He was given arnica straight after operation and was sipping at it during the day.However he was on morphine for two days. Pain wise he is doing really well, Has no pain or discomfort.
