vitiligo or something else?
4 moths back i noticed a small about 2 mm diameter discolored(pink) skin on my upper lip.and about 6-7 white dots(spots of 1mm) on upeer lip. Then i noticed that the skin of mouth had also gone discolored.I showed it to a homeopathy doctor. He told me to avoid eating salty foods and read meat and gave me medicines to continue for 6 months. But 2 months back, i noticed that half of my lower lip has started discoloring(brown to red) and now it has become almost the same colour as of internal mouth skin. After that i have started noticing whenever the lips starts discolouring before that i feel lips are very hot and it itches a lot. Now almost all the time i feel as if my lips are hot and sometimes i feel as it is burning. Also white layers used to come out of my mouth and lips before it was discoloured. and still sometimes it comes out from lips.
One more thing earlier i used to eat too much spicy and chilly foods.
But now if i eat even very light spicy foods , then my mouth feels very hot(starts burning).
I have visited many sites.
Because of the discolouration i think this is vitiligo. But nowhere itching of lip skin and burning of mouth while having spicy food is mentioned.
Please tell me , is it Vitiligo or something else?
My first spot on upper lip has now discolred to the same colour as of internal mouth and i feel it has become bigger in size.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It could be vitiligo. Go to a dermatologist and suggest if PUVA will work.
Try applying a paste made out of gram flour, whole wheat flour and terpentine.

I agree, euuuwww. Wheat is not good to apply anywhere.
Sounds somewhat like Lichen Planus. I am sorry to say I have not found a successful remedy for it.
Look it up online. There is a lot on it with pictures. Sabra
