This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Are you sure that the aggravation happens ONLY during a full moon light?

Are there absolutely no flare ups during other times?

I will look into the moon phase aggravations, but would like you to be absolutely sure that this is the only time when aggravation occurs.

Thanks a lot for the reply, Mr. Murthy.

There are other modalities, like slight aggravation from motion and exertion. But the marked feature that the patient let me know was that the pains become excruciating a couple of days before the full moon night and pains are at the worst during the full moon night.

I am travelling and am carrying no repertory other than Phatak with me.

Any further suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you once again for your time.

Warm regards

It is very likely that the remedy lies within the above group. Unfortunately many remedies mentioned above have the said complaint in their pathogenesis.

The slight aggravation from motion and exertion doesn't help as it is a very common complaint.

We can narrow down the choice further if there are prominent thermal modalities that apply to the whole person.

Try to find out whether the person is chilly, hot or normal.

The thermal modalities have to be very prominent to use for elimination.

Examples are

Psorinum wears a fur cap in summer. He feels so chilly.

fl.ac has an aggravation from warmth..aggravation from covering..suffocates in a warm room.

There are many other ways to zero in on the remedy. I am just giving one such feature that helps to narrow down the choice.

I thinks I am getting a fair icture now...it seems a case of Lyco.

I have the other rubrics and you have already helped me with the one I could not get.

Thanks again...

Also, the overall sycotic traits in the personality are tilting my decision in favour of Lyco....

Dear Mr. Murthy and Faustian

Thanks to both of you for your time. As I had reported, i was thinking of Lyco. But, on maturer reflection and talking to the patient for a couple of hours, I zeroed down on Calcarea Carb and gave her a single dose of Calc 1M this morning.

You will be happy to note that the swelling in the foot is reduced by 75% and there is also a significant reduction in pain.

Sincerely,

Niel
