15 Month Old Wakes Every 1 or 2 Hours Page 5 of 6

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The only thing that was really different yesterday was that we were out later than usual as we had to take his dad to the airport for a business trip, and he did not take a nap at all in the afternoon because he saw his cousins and I suppose didn't want to miss out on anything. The cries were not constant throughout the 20 minutes but seemed a tiny bit more insistent than past nights. He was his usual self though when he awoke at 6:15 am and I went to him. And so far this morning he's been happy, friendly with others, and energetic.

Hi. I just have to ask is your child suffering food intolerances? Does he scrunch his knees up under him at night...can you feel his abdomen spasaming? Does he have explosive poos or no poo at all for days??
One of the classic symptoms of food intolerances is pain and constant crying. If this is the case you need either to review his diet (dairy, peanuts, seafood, gluten and yeast are the more common irritants), or explore the options of probiotics. There is a very interesting Pfeiffer site (based in the States) where you can get more information.
Good luck,
Joanne

Thanks JoJo, but my son doesn't suffer from food intolerances. His cries at night were not cries of pain- they were cries of not wanting to be alone. Again, thanks for the info.

Anothe peaceful night. My son slept from 9:15 pm to 6:05 am without a peep. Funny how it seems his internal clock is wound for 9 hours! All else yesterday was the same also.

ANother good night. My son slept from 8:45 pm until 5:50 am. He woke up at 3 am and only cried for 5 minutes before putting himself to sleep again. All else was basically the same yesterday during the day.

hows his appetite of lately?hwta changes in likings/dislikings observed?

John Stanton last decade
He seems to have more of an appetite during the day lately. No changes in likes/dislikes really.

what changes notice in temperament/mental/emotional aspect compared to before sulphur and now?

John Stanton last decade
The main change is that he is a lot calmer now at bedtime. He falls asleep faster, sleeps longer, and when he does wake is able to put himself back to sleep. He is still attached to me, but seems a little bit more independent at time. And he is still an agreeable, friendly, happy baby but at times does get a little more tempermental when he cannot get his way. I don't know if it's just part of a baby's normal development and that it would have happened now anyway, but he also likes to imitate us more now in our gestures, sounds, etc.

My son slept again from 9:15 pm until 6:00 am. He did wake at 3 am for less than 2 minutes and then again at 4:30 am with on and off crying for 30 minutes. I did not go to him during this time, but I suspect that he may have been crying during that time because he had had a bowel movement when I did change him at 6 am. All else is the same.

it appears some dietary indiscretion occuring--recheck avoidance list and FOLLOW----may need single dose nux-vomica 200c but will let you know---depends on what particular food he is geting that causing patterning symptom....fruit or milk product may be ---but uncertain

what has been his EXACT dietary intake (food /drink) past 5 days? spare NO detail---be exact and true..

John Stanton last decade
Last night was another good night. He fell asleep at 8:55 pm and woke at 6:10 am without a peep throughout the night. All else yesterday was the same.

I have tried to adhere to the list as much as possible but there are certain items he has had because he does need them. He starts the day with 8-10 ounces of milk with rice or barley cereal. This is the only time he has dairy as he is not a fan of cheeses and won't drink any more milk. He has waffles later in the morning. For lunch he has vegetables and non-acidic fruit. Later he usually has some rice cereal and for dinner he has some meat and again some non acidic fruit. Throughout the day he'll eat some cheerios, crackers, rice or goldfish and drink a fruit blend containing vit.d and calcium. He needs his calcium and vit d and refuses to eat green vegetables that may provide these items. He also has about 1 or 2 ounces of water in the evening. What do you mean by "patterning symptom"? Again, thanks for all your help. It is greatly appreciated!

patterning---3;am waking---yet not last night...only 2 nights in row--may have some other causation not certain...

can replace milk with organicrice "milk" or similar --dont recommend soy though---but if sure going use milk then heat until comes to boil and then placew back in refrigorator--this help some---most problem is with the homogenization---

what exact fruits son having?
fruit drink?

John Stanton last decade
I will see if he takes to the rice milk. Otherwise I will do the boil method you recommend. He eats the jarred baby food fruit- applesauce, pears, bananas, peaches, blueberries, apricots, pineapple, guava, mango. Juices- pear, apple, white grape, pineapple blend. I usually dilute the juices with a bit of water.
By the way, I found out that the lycopodium the local homeopath had wanted to send him was lycopodium lm2. Isn't that very high?

cucu111 last decade
no grape juice wnd if have to have then watering down is correct...stick to banana and applesauce for now----

as for lycopodium LM 1---it onlt tells homoeopaths experience---not sure of their thinkings though...each their own...

Thanks. Also, the remedies just arrived from Helios this afternoon.

cucu111 last decade
They are in oral liquid 5 ml as you recommended.

cucu111 last decade
we'll wait and see--no remedies yet...observation and note any changes in any sphere --looking for indication--as long as all seems well --at this time...

what other ingrediants in baby foods?just fruit?

John Stanton last decade
I think the ingredients depends on the fruit. Some say water, fruit from concentrate, whey, etc.
Last night was slightly different. During the day he took a 2 and 3/4 hour nap from which I had to wake him at 6:45 pm. He then wouldn't sleep until 10 pm. I think it's because he took a long late nap. He slept from 10 pm until 5:30 am without a peep. The rest of yesterday was the same as usual.

Last night my son slept from 9:45 pm until 5:40 am without a sound. He gave me a little bit of a hard time falling asleep because his dad was playing with him and got him wound up after 8 pm. As soon as my husband left the room, he fell asleep within 15 minutes. All else seems to have been the same.

cucu111 last decade
hmmm--to be expected---sleep not easy when coming from play as such...

what observe concerning inner family relating?how this changed over weeks?please explain

John Stanton last decade
He relates well to the rest of the family and always has, but it seems as if he still prefers me to others most of the time. I think he sees me as his constant...his comfort. He still gets upset for a few seconds when I leave the room 50% of the time. I don't see too much change in this behavior. The most dramatic change is his sleep. Last night he slept soundly from 9:35 pm until 6:20 am.

cucu111 last decade
My son slept well again last night. He slept from 9:10 pm until 6:40 am without a sound.

cucu111 last decade
ok---seems to established sleeping pattern--as at this point...

keep me informed-- --keep close eye--and even slightest thing that catches your observation-no matter how small..post or email me --sooner the better..

John Stanton last decade
Absolutely! Thank you for all your help, time and expertise Mr. Stanton!

cucu111 last decade
Try letting him sleep in a regular bed with side rails with his favorite stuffed animal or a pacifier. My 15 month old is not a good sleeper either, but she sleeps better in a bed as opposed to a crib. I think in a crib, they feel trapped.
