need help from psychosis
HI Doctors,I'm really glad to have found this website and desperately need some help for my brother.....
1. He is 25 years old, thin, very smart person.
2. He was very emotional, a NAIL BITER, not a very happy person in general.
3. last about 6 months his conditions has been really bad. he has been suffering from panic/anger attacks, occasional high blood pressure, will trow things, and break things, really insecure, jealous, will cry for long times, seems depressed. Sometimes he seems to have hallucinations, make bad things up, thinks that everybody is conspiring against him, trying to poison him, will get very abusive when mad
He is also paranoic, will not let anybody else use his bathroom, thinks that everybody is contagious and spreading germs, will not take medicines, etc.
Sometimes (rarely) he seems to be normal, will talk nicely but that happens very rare.
He seems to be suffering but will not tell what actually the reason is. sometimes worried about career but won't really do anything about it. will watch TV non-stop and do nothing.
He just got married b/c everybody thought that he was going to get better but his situation got worse and his wife actually is not living with him or talking to him.
He was under the influence of a guru lady for years and thinks that he is very spiritual but in reality he is very abusive and has even beaten his parents.
He is a very very intelligent person and was very pleasant before. He is a lawyer (just got out of school) but his mood is getting better of him. I would really appreciate if we could get some help and make him a normal person again.

what happened six months back. is he working and earning or is he unemployed.
did he undergo any mental trauma 6 months back.
can you relate any incident in his life which could be responsible for this mental irregularity.
do you have any mental diseases in your family.
what actally makes him angry. why does he become so impulsive, aggresive and abusive. what is the stimulus which throws off his mental equanimity.
HYOS and TARENTULA in 10M could be possible remedies but the details asked above would help to converge.

Thanks Dr. Mahfooz and rishimba. First of all I want to say sorry to Dr. Mahfooz b/c I clicked on the (report post to moderator ) and clicked the wrong option.
To answer those questions, yes, he had a hard childhood, our mom was working out of station and he always missed her since he was only 3 year. She would come home only twice a week. Then my parents moved to a new place and he had to change boards, mediums etc and the life was really hard without water, electricity and any entertainment. He was always looking for happiness and went to a lot of different Doctors, Osho, gurus, learnt a lot of things like reiki, accupressure, hypnotism etc etc. He found this guru lady and started worshiping her. He was still doing fine and serving people with his reiki arts and massage. about 6 months ago he went to a religious place and while coming back he had this hallucintion/imaginary thing that the whole world is about to be destroyed, he is bearing the weight of all world, everybody is staring at him, asking questions etc etc. He got off train and somehow came home few days later. Since then his condition got worse. he started imagining that family members are trying to poison him. he quit eating from anybody's hands. he had a lot of panick attacks when he would just say nonsense things and beat family members. My parents took him to the doctor several times, he would take medicines for 2 days and then quit. At times he seems so normal that its hard to believe that he has any problem. But he has gotten so egoistic and jealous that anything and everything can spark the bad of him.
he is currently unemployed. my parents actually have a huge business so all he needs to do is get involved. I don't know of anybody who have any mental diseases in my family but my mom is a heart patient. My dad is a little weired person and is not really close to children. He is very hard to please and just different. My parents somehow manage to get along together without any mutual understanding most of the times. My brother hardly ever got along with my other brother but he has had better relationships with me.
I was looking in materia medica and made a list of about 10 medicines based on his symptoms and hyos and tarent were up high on the list as well but I didn't know the potencies.
right now he is talking about his third eye opening and having supernatural powers. He wants to organize camps for memory improvement and believes that he can improve anybody's memory..........

his mental symptoms are divergent. which means that they are not getting covered by a single remedy.
the potencies which would be useful to him would be 200c, 1m, 10m and cm. its better to go up gradually.
remedies which can be tried in order of preference :
1. CANNABIS INDICA 200C ( one dose every 2 to 3 days early morning )
2. PLUMBUM MET 1M ( one dose every week for some weeks )
3. HYOS NIGER 1M ( one dose every week for some weeks )
try them one by one and see which one is actually creating a change in him.
you can continue the effective remedy at the same or higher potency in intervals of 10 to 15 days.

I and also agreed with the advice of respected dr. rishimba , who is quite competent, I propsose to take one(single) dose of Sulpher-1m empty stomach at morning and wait for a week and note the changes, thereafter we will consider the other remedies.

Thank you so much! Also, is it okay to add medicines to his water since at this point he is reluctant to take medicines and it might aggravate him. I know that there are no side effects, but should we expect his condition to worsen during the course of treatment as it gets better?

Which Tarentula had you suggested? indica or the other one?
Also, I'm just a little concerned about temporary aggravation in his symptoms during the treatment. Do you see that as a possibility? If so, I have to warn my parents b/c if his symptoms aggravate, he usually tries to leave the home and just go some places and not come back for days. In addition to his symptoms, he loves to eat salt, is in a hurry and is also suffering from inferiority complex since he is the youngest of all.

Hello Dr. Mahfooz,
I just want to clear some doubts. Sulfur covers a lot of his symptoms but my brother doesn't have any indications of any skin disease. I just don't want him to develop any skin problems by taking sulfur in such a high dose. Just needed your suggestion in that matter. Another most important contraindication is that the patient of sulfur has poor memory but my brother has the greatest memory I have ever seen. He remembers each and every incident of his life since he was very very young. Please suggest.

it is not compulsory that sulpher patient has alway skin disease or have good memory but the symptoms you mentioned in his case needs this remedy, if you agreed.

you can give sulphur and see if there is a change in him.
if sulphur doesnt work, you should start cannabis indica.
i have finally not suggested tarentula and so dont bother about it.

Hello doctors,
my brother was given sulfur yesterday. He lives in India so it takes me time to communicate and have them buy the medicines etc. He is also on some allopathic medications right now so his symptoms are subdued. But I want him off of allopathic medications as soon as he seems perfect and starts working. Hope this medicine works..
will keep you posted about his progress.

It has been one week since my brother was given Sulfur and he seems to be doing good. He has also been on some allopathic medicine for about 2 and a half week now and his condition just seems to get better every day. I am in US and haven't seen him but my family tells me that he is getting better. I don't know if it's the combined effect of both allopathic treatment and sulfur or any of them alone.......My guess is that allopathy helped him a little bit and then sulfur helped him further. I've heard that he doesn't talk about poison, takes his allopathic medicine daily and seems happier. Do you have any suggestions about any other medicine I should give him or just wait...........j

The Philosophy of the Alopathy and Homoeopathy is totally different. they believe a lot of drugs and we treat with single or minimum medicines keeping inview the symptoms of the patient.
Sulpher is a anti psoric and deep seated remedy. and it needs no repitation for atleast a month. It is upto the patient to decide what he has to do either with allo. of homoeo.

First of all I wanted to thank you as my brother has been doing great for last over 1 year. He got off the allopathic medicines and has been studying hard for different examinations and seems to be doing fine. There is however a latest development which I'm afraid to post online.
