About my diabetes - to Dr Joe and other professionals

Dear Sirs,

I had posted here long time back when my diabetes was first detected. It is over a yar and a half now. I am 44 years old now. I find some significant symptoms and wish to seek your advice:

1. At the point of diagnosis, my A1C was 14.5 and now it is at around 7.7
2. I am currently taking rosiglitazone 8mg and glimipiride 2 mg daily. My doctor suggested against metformin as I am notover weight.
3. During this year and a half, I started developing hemorrhoids, though not to troublesome extent, but to a conspicuous extent.
4. My bowel movement has been significantly affected. I am not able to pass stool in the morning the way I used to earlier.
5. I started drinking diet coke more often and (superstitiously) believed that reduced my sugar level. I can not substantiate this claim.
6. One very strange symptom is that I have very profuse ablution at around 1:00 pm and almost immediately my sugars would drop and some time to abnormally low levels like 40-45. This has been happening atleast 75% of the time. (I take my glimipiride at aroun 9:00 am).
7. I do not have theproblem of frequent urination or thirst.

I do take some cinnamon every day but I have not observed any attributable difference.

Recently I find that my sugar in postprandial urine at high levels.

I will be grateful if you can comment on my condition and suggest a way to manage it more systemmatically. Right now, the variation is widl between as high as 320 and as low as 30.

Regards,
Sankara
