Eczema and Sulphur

I have suffered from extreme re, dry and scaly eczema all my life and have it all over my body. In adition I now also suffer from breathing, sinus problems, feel cold most of the time, find it difficult to sleep and am always tired and rundown.
Anyway I was advised by another eczema sufferer that by taking a potency of 10m of sulphur once a month, their condition has noticeably improved, it was made a huge difference to their life. Now 10M is a very high potency and I was wondering if it would be safe for me to start at a lower dose of about 6c daily and see if that makes a difference and then to increase the potency level? Otherwise is it safe to just start at 10M straight away? Are their any side affects for taking a higher dose? Is Sulphur the best remedy for my problems or should I try something else? Any feedback would be much appreciated?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The two are similar. Always take Sulphur in the morning before 11 am.

I feel people should follow their inclinations. If you feel fear, take the lessor.

To begin, I would take one dose per week for 3 times. Stop and observe for at least a month unless you need help, keep in touch. Sabra

Henna,
did you try any other homeopathic medicines in the past? What were the results?

Pankaj,
Thank you for replying.
I tried homeopathic creams when I was a child and as far as I remember they did not help at all but made the skin worse.
My situation is that my skin was not that bad until I had a major viral infection back in 1999 and was admmitted into hospital, the infection seemed to have weakened my immune system even more and as a result my skin is 10 times worse along with other problems that I have.
I do get headaches, they are bearable and come and go but cold weather seems to make them worse. Just an annoying pain in the front and sides.

Best Regards

Hi Pankaj,

I was not injected for any medicine in the hospital.

I used to get constipation but as I eat a lot of fruit, I dont usually have any problems.

I am a 34 year old female.

Current straight of mind is a little depressed as I am unemployed at the moment and worried about the future of my job, health etc. I am also single.

My hair is thinner than before and I scratch my head a alot due to dandruff etc. i dont know if this has contributed to hair loss.

My nails werent growing on my 2 index fingers a few months ago but then I took graphities for a while and that seemed to fix the problem thank God.

My hands and feet are mostly cold, however at night when I am tucked up warm in my bed, the sole of my left foot gets extremely hot to the extenet that I have to keep finding cold areas to cool it down!

Kind Regards

Hi Henna

You may know this already (!) but homeopathy treats the person not the symptom. Just because sulphur worked for a friend with the same problem doesnt mean it is the right remedy for you...although it might be! Best thing is to either go and see a homeopath or give as much info as possible on this website so someone can help - tell them everything about yourself, medical history, feelings, desires...etc. Then one of the homeopaths can find the right remedy for you.

Regards

Maurice

I'm 44 and have had periodic bouts with eczema since I was in my teens (small patches, half dollar size, which usually lasted a month and went away on their own). In 2001 I was diagnosed with Crohns disease (mild to moderate). About 2 years ago I developed a patch of eczema on my right shin that grew over 2 months to measure about 2 inches by 8 inches - running up my shin. I waited for the normal course of time and it refused to go away. I tried cortisone creams and moisturizing lotions but nothing would work. I finally tried my mother's old remedy of sulphur mixed with Crisco to form a pultice. It did help about 50% but I had to apply it every night. After 1-1/2 years of frustration fighting it, I did some reading and decided sulphur was a key element. I started taking 1/2 tsp. of pharmaceutical grade sulphur 2X a day (once in the morning and once at night). Within 2 days, the itching had ceased and the inflammation began to decrease. After one month, the inflammation was gone and only the darkened skin of scarring remained. I continued taking the sulphur for one more month and have been off of it now for 3 months with no recurrence of the eczema. I've been using an apricot scrub every other day to help reduce the discoloration where the scarring occurred and the area almost normal looking again. At least for me, I think the sulphur was the key ingredient and I'll start back on it immidiately if my eczema returns.
