urinary tract infection
My wife is 30 years old and this is her first pregnancy. Gynaecologist after blood and urine tests which have indicated ALBUMEN, (10) EPETHILIAL (2-5) AND PUS CELLS (15)/hpf IN laboratory and haemotoximia has finally diagnosed my wife to be infected with urinary tract.Please help

For prescribing a homoeopathic remedy , we need SYMPTOMS more than the DIAGNOSIS so that we can indivisualise the patient and choose the correct remedy that fits the case.
Could you please provide all the details?
1. Sensation: pain ? can she describe the pain? ( cramps/ stabbing/ cutting/ burning....)
2. What makes her feel better or worse? ( cold or hot water application, before, during or after passing urine, etc...)
3. Any associated complaints? ( fever/ weakness/ chills/ back ache etc...)
4. Urine: colour? odour? consistency?

I would advise against the antibiotics that you will be offered. But in order to use homeopathy one needs to know what happens when she urinates.
Is there pain . If so what kind of pain. Is there inflammation at the point of exit. Does it take a long time to empty the baldder. What color is the urine . Does it have any perceptible odor .
Is it possible that this infection originates from yourself and is sexually transmitted.

Dear Doctors and practitioners,
I thank for the response toi my query in the forum. It is really surprising to see great response from one and all.
My wife is sitting next to me and i am interpreting it so that you people can understand it and advise accordingly.
Urine: Almost all uncontrollable urge to urinate.
The urge to almost urinate every half an hour.
Sometimes even after urination she feels that she must urinate again. The sensation of uncomplete urination
or unsatisfied urination. A sensation as if something is pulling or from the top at an area just below navel.
Burning sensation after urination.
Itching commences as soon as she completes urination. After itching there is burning sensation. There is redness on the
affected area. The area near her urethra and on its sides.
Burning sensation and Itching sensation usually starts in the evening.
I think there is one striking symptom here : she cannot toleratethe touch of her clothes on the body when
she walks.
hot or warm water decreases the pain.
urine colour : pale yellow. pus cells : 10-15/ hpf epithelial cells : 2-4/hpf
sp gravity : 1.025 sugar : nil. albumin : trace
I do not if this related to pregnancy or not but she sleeps for a very brief period of time say at 3.00 a.m.. This is due to burning sensation on chest or an area between her breasts from her throat to chest, hence no sleep.
There is one more symptom that i would like to bring to your notice that she pains in the knee, almost limps in pain, cannot squat properly during stools. This is again linked to pain in the shin or an area between her legs.
Yes she has backache also. There is there inflammation at the point of exit or after urination.
I hope these symptoms will suffice. If any, please write to me, I shall ask her and revert back. if necessary i will even type the
obstetric scan report also.

Hi Ganesh, I suggest that your wife use CANTHARIS in a high potency. Only one dose, and only if necessary, another dose in 3 days. The last couple of times I used this it took only one dose.

Now coming back to my wife's problem as advised by Sabra. Today I have given her a dose of Cantharis 1 M one dose.

I am surprised why no one thought of Eupertorium Purp 1X. 1 drop twice daily for 3 days in a tsp of water. if i am wrong, plz disregard this. but it has helped a lot of people here.

As advised I have administered Cantharis 1m one dose once only. But so far there has been no improvement
so far. I don't know if i should wait for long or go for anti-biotics. My wife screams in pain unable to bear the burning. I am concerned.
Now along with urinary tract infection I am sorry if I have missed some other symptoms. Generally speaking I thought after Gynaecologist's diagnosis
urinary tract infection only means burning sensation after urination. But my wife is also experiencing some rashes next to her vagina or on the shin red patches
of skin. Totally blood red in colour and on the V joint of the hips. I hope a lot of people here would know the exact place.
I have seen the area to be precise on the ovaries or let's call it the labia majora or labia minora area or the two sides of the vagina.
It burns and is scalded as of now. Feels better by warm water. The burning pain is so intense and of a longer duration that she cannot bear it.
What do you people recommend ?
Lady Doctor(s) I have heard have told me that the backache, and the pain on the hip bone are common symptoms. But this Skin Infection is totally unbearable.
Is this Herpes Zoster. The dreadly skin disease. Because a homoeopath told us so over telephone when we told him the following symptoms that :
1) The pain is unbearable, red,it pains when cloth touches the affected area while walking.
2) Red small blisters, blotches of skin, scalded black skin. He advised Belladona 1 m.
Is he right?
Or would Rhus Tox 1 m be better?
Please advise. Awaiting for your replies? And always willing 2 answer to your queries.

Dear Ganesh, if it has been as little as two days, please begin BELLADONNA. I reviewed and it would be the next best. Rhus tox is not extreme as you have described.
Are you quite sure she has not been bitten by something?
I am so puzzled. The burning is so extreme. Was so sure Cantharis was it. Causticum that often follows is mostly good for pain of burns.
Belladonna 1M or higher is next nearest in extremes of burning feelings.
Please let us know each step.

aside to Maya, I have never seen symptoms of "burning" connected to Eupat. Perf.
It has always been a remedy with extreme body pain almost like bones feeling broken and with broncial sym. Good flu remedy for these symptoms. No mention of urinary infections.
If you have a reference I would most like to read it to see if we can help this case.
It is also good for malaria symptoms.

General swelling of ankles at this time of pregnancy is quite common. BUT, more swelling and in other parts of the body is not good.
I am sure doctor is watching the blood pressure. Higher bp is not a good sign at this stage of pregnancy. Especially if this is accompanied with swelling.
Please keep an eye on this set of symptoms. "Eclampsia" is the name of the problem. Ask the doctor, or look up in medical book.
