The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Severe RA

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have tried some alternative treatments (10 day cleasing diet, vegan diet, clearing up systemic candida, anti-inflammatory herbs) but none have helped my condition. I reluctantly take Methotrexate & Enbrel & would not be able to leave my house if it weren't for these drugs. However, the disease progresses & my joints & spine still hurt, but to a lesser degree. I also have another auto-immune disease called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. My age is 50. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

please take RHUS TOX 30C every four hours for some days and note the difference.

while taking rhus tox, its better to stop allopathic medicines / pain killers so that you understand the response of the remedy. moreover, homeopathic remedy does interact with allopathy and thus the response is not seen if taken together.

please come back with the changes after 10 days.

I have stopped taking Methotrexate (MTX) & replaced it with rhus tox 30c as prescribed. It seems to help about as much as the MTX did, but no better. It has been 14 days now.

I recently finished 2 weeks of Rhus Tox 200c every 6 hours and have found that it provides more relief than the previous dose that you suggested. While it is not strong enough for me to stop the Enbrel, it does provide as much pain & inflammation relief as the Methotrexate, which I stopped taking. I would like to continue with the Rhus Tox 200c, but have some questions if you have time to answer. Is it safe to take indefinitely? Will it keep on working at this level or will my body adjust to it, causing me to need different doses in the future? Are there side effects? Thank you very much.

now, please reduce the frequency of the dosage gradually.

for the next few days you should take the dose only 2 times a day..

if you are not gettting back the pain, you need to gradually reduce the frequency to once a day and then finally stop it.

no homeopathic remedy needs to be taken indefinitely. we just prescribe a remedy to initiate a curative response in the body. if the response is seen, this is the time to gradually taper down the dose.
