Dr Sameer pls help reg my 2year old sons chronic eczema and itching
Hi Dr Sameer,MY 2 year old started having eczema since he was 3 months old started with cradle cap which kept on getting worse then started having rash on his neck then spred to his hands and then legs.
Now his condition is very bad.He is on dermatologist care from abt 3 months of age.He was prescribed several antihistamines,corticosteroids,right now none of the antihistamines work.The topical corticosteoids just help for some hours and then he starts to itch again.Nowadays he does not even play he wants to keep on itching his legs and hands.At night he wakes up at least 2-3 times due to itching of his legs and hands.
Also the dermatologist did a allergy profile on him and found that he has very elevated levels of eosinophils(2.2) when noral rage is 0-0.4.His IgE levels are also elevated 4500 when normal range is 0-350.
We thought he was worse in summer but this winter(here it is almost 2-10F in winter) his condition is so bad.
Pls help me.

Hi Dr Sameer,
He was a easygoing boy till recently.Now as his itching has intensified he gets angry very fast,throws tantrums in shops,screams and cries when he wants something.
He likes when friends come to our house.He just loves to meet people.But nowadays from the past 2-3 months whenever he is irritated he just goes and pinches any stranger lady/girl(not men).
He loves to eat meat chicken,sausage any meat.He loves candy.He is not fussy about food.But now he does not eat as much as he used to when he was a kid. He loves to eat fruits and vegetables.He is severly allergic to some fish like catfish etc.He itches very bad as soon as he eats some varieties of fish and once his entire body swelled up and started throwing up after eating catfish and we had to take him to the ER.So now we do not give him any fish.The allergy test showed that he is also allergic to some nut like pictachios,pecan and hazelnuts.He is also allergic to egg whites.He likes to drink water,likes juices etc
Fears, I think he does not have any fears except that he needs either me or my husband near him, when in the company of strangers.
