severe systemic eczema, 7 mo pregnant

I'm 24 years old, and have been suffering for years with bouts of eczema and severe skin reactions. I am now currently 7 months pregnant and suffer from constant itching and dry patchy skin. My whole body had been covered in eczema for many months but then I started taking Carlson's fish oil at a dosage of 3,600mg of EPA/day and it helped greatly with the inflammation and reddness, however I still suffer from severe itching and some areas of very dry, blotchy skin (ie joint areas, ears, neck, etc). The only bad eczema patches (red cracked, sore) still being dealt with are on my nipples and hands/wrists. I am very concerned about this for I need to be able to breastfeed my baby in a few months. Exposure daily to sunlight appears to help as well with the skin. I also have trouble when I sweat, it triggers extreme itching. I am on a strict diet for I have many food allergies and sensitivities. Dairy, gluten, yeast and nuts are some of the worst foods.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Your eczema is probably because of your allergies to milk products. Many infants are allergic to milk protein but they grow over it once they are 2 or 3 years old but this has not happened in your case. Eczema needs most gentle of treatments. Try getting help from Sameer Vermani. He can do something if he takes your case. Also have a look at this thread by Kuldeep

Thank you for the link...I have been avoiding dairy for 8 months now, I have avoided it off and on for many years of my life, it definitely makes a difference. I found that the most success so far in lessening the severity of the eczema was the fish oil, it makes my skin not as dry and lessens the reddness, scaling, blistering, etc. I just can't seem to really ditch the itch...I will try some of the suggestions in the link you posted, thanks again-

I would suggest that you approach Sameer first before trying any of the suggestions in that link although it must be very tempting for you.

Sounds like candida is the core culprit, but I don't know the homeopathic cure for it, wish I did.

There are herbal candida cleanses out there, and you can do grapefruit seed extract, but you must be thorough, and follow up with comprehensive acidophilus/probiotics and continue, perhaps life long.

Avoid sugar and allergens, and I think this is also related to metal toxicity. Chelation therapy can be profound in clearing metals out, which affect you on every level; physical, mental, emotional, etc.

I agree, heavy metals are definitely a concerning culprit. I had been tested months ago for heavy metal toxicity and the results showed likely results. The only thing is I haven't been able to do a heavy metals detox due to the pregnancy. It has been a long hard journey and I am glad that there are only a few months left.
