Sleep Talking, Snoring, Fatigue

I hope someone here can help me. Sleep talking is ruining my life now that I am engaged and living with my fiance. I snore loud, sometimes really loud. Always wondered if I have sleep apnea cause for the past 5+ years I wake up feeling like I've never slept.

I have done some research and they say that stress, illness, lack of sleep, eating late can all cause sleep talking.

I am a 39 yr female, am 40 lbs overweight. So, I do need to lose weight, but even when I weighed 118 I still snored. Not sure about the sleep talking though. I want to say I used to mumble once in a while, but not NIGHTLY and not clear conversation.

The biggest thing that bothers me about it, other than feeling fatigued all the time, is I apparently talk about things from my life that are mostly real. Unfortunately, I have a good friend who is a guy and saying his name in my sleep next to my fiance' is NOT helping our relationship. I don't think it's fair I should have to end a friendship because of my sleep talking that I cannot control. Nothing is said romantically about him or anything, but if I heard my fiance' saying another woman's name....friend or ex, I would DEMAND an explanation or that they stop communicating.

If I go for a month without talking to this person I don't mention his name, but when I do talk to them unfortunately, my fiance' will know because I rat myself out in my sleep by repeating parts of my email or conversation. Verbatum! I don't say anything wrong, but I have no control over what I say cause I don't know I am even talking!

He also is able to ask me questions and I answer them. So, it's kind of like a hypnotic state or truth serum cause apparently I state things very factually. He asked me this persons email and I told him apparently, but in waking life, I have no idea what the email is. I'd have to look it up. I do not know it by heart.

As far as illness goes, I have severe multiple chemical sensitivities. Not to the point where I can't leave the house or go anywhere like some, but close. Exposure to perfumes, air fresheners, herbicides, pesticides, paints, new carpet will cause all kinds of symptoms pretty immediately and last for days sometimes weeks. Mostly affects my nervous system it seems.

Sorry so long-winded. I am just desperate here. Tired of feeling tired all the time. Been told I also have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Prob due to the MCS is my guess.

I usually fall asleep within 5 minutes of going to bed.

I sleep on my back only with a special pillow so I don't roll on my sides because I have neck/back problems.

Wind irritates my ears. Earaches. Especially left ear it seems.

Cold wind in the winter tenses my neck and is intolerable for ears and neck.

I prefer warmer climate. Love swimming and could be in water all day if it was possible.

I have dry eyes, sometimes burn.

I have incessant dry mouth. No matter how much water I drink, I feel like I never drank anything. Never gets quenched. Chapped lips. Weak nails, fine hair that splits easily.

Many food allergies: wheat, sugar, dairy, cow meat, pork, potatoes, mangoes, cashews, pistachios, basil, marjoram, black pepper, corn and all corn products. The only ones I have severe immediate reactions to are mangoes, cashews, pistachios, basil and marjoram. Others I can eat and really wouldn't know I was allergic.

I am stressed very much as part of my MCS and financial issues, relationship stress. Been hurt emotionally alot in my life also.

I do not take medication of any kind for health reasons.
I do everything alternatively.
I do not go to dr unless severely ill and mainly go for dx and then treat self.

Have used homeopathy for past 15 years also.

Again, I apologize for this being so long. I tried to get all pertinent info in from the start.

Please tell me there is a remedy for more restful sleep and that will help with the sleep talking. I feel my privacy is also being invaded and it's not healthy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take Arsenicum Album 200c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and see how that affects in the next 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

These relaxation techniques will help you with sleep problems naturally. Do it with concentration and with eyes closed.
Build up your timing gradually.If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 10 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs.You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Ujjayi pranayam
First exhale fully through the nose.
During inhalation your glottis should remain partially closed. Glottis is the opening between the vocal chords.While inhaling, produce a sound as if you are sobbing, by partially closing the glottis.(This is reverse of clearing your throat, where your are exhaling).
The face muscles should not be contracted during inhalation. Abdominal muscles should be well controlled. Inhale smoothly and uniformly.
After deep inhalation, retain your breath as long as possible. While retaining breath do Jalandhara bandh (lock your chin, touch your chin with your chest).Initially, try to retain breath for 8 to 10 seconds. Gradually increase the time of retention of breath.
After retaining breath, first open the Jalandhar bandh(chin up) and then, close right nostril and exhale slowly through left nostril. The glottis should all along remain partially closed.This is one set of ujjayi.
Do this for 5 to 20 times everyday.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 10 times
The sleep problem will ease gradually, so allow a few weeks to notice benefits.

Kadwa thank you so much for your reply and guidance. I will order the Arsenicum Album 200c today and will take as suggested when it arrives and will definitely be reporting back. As I am very sensitive to everything, I am a bit scared of the reactions I may get from the healing.

I also wanted to mention that I sleep VERY soundly. Once I am asleep, I stay asleep unless wake up to go to the bathroom. Usually though, I sleep straight through the night, yet always wake feeling like I never slept. I sense this is due to not getting good quality sleep because of the snoring and talking. I also apparently sing in my sleep to my dogs I had when I was a child.

At times I have waken and not been able to move. As if someone were sitting on me. This happens once or twice a year.

I have waken before with scratches on my legs or sides and wonder how I got them. I think I did it in my sleep because 2 years ago my fiance' came to visit and I punched him in the face right below his eye while I was asleep!
He didn't tell me for weeks later that this happened. He said he's been in fights in his life and I hit him harder than he's ever been hit. Funny thing is, I remember having told him the next day that my wrist was hurting me. I kept holding it off and on for the next day or two cause it felt strained. Now I know why!

I find it very hard to believe that I could actually hit him with such force in my sleep and never wake up. Very scary that I did this. I wish he'd woken me up and told me, but he said he didn't want to know what I was dreaming about because he knows I have had some physically and mentally harmful relationships. He said he thought I was awake at first, but then he realized with my fist fully clenched that I was in fact deeply asleep. How can one make full contact and never wake up??? It just amazes me what the mind/body is capable of.

I am wondering if this will also help with my multiple chemical sensitivities.

I've had a long bout this past month of a continuous cough/sore swollen painful throat/earache going on. Sometimes dizziness. This all started because of too much screaming on a rollercoaster. I strained my vocal chords I think and it is just now seeming to come around although the earache problem seems to be lingering a bit longer.
These symptoms only started to get better after trying urine therapy. I took a cotton swab and dipped it in fresh urine and applied a few drops to both ears. Pain subsided within a couple minutes. So, I also drank a tiny bit and throat also started to feel better within 10-15 minutes.

Blood pressure is always on the low side too. Been that way for at least 15 years that I know of. 102/75, 98/68 etc.

I also notice when under stress and anxiety kicks up, my spleen starts to hurt. Feels swollen and sharp pains at times. When I get my anxiety under control and try to relax it does seem to go away.
I obviously also have liver issues since I am allergic to so many foods and cannot tolerate chemicals of any kind.

I received the Arsenicum Album 200C Friday afternoon, but haven't taken first dose yet as I wanted to get some advice from you first.

Friday we found out that we are going to be moving 20hrs away in the next couple weeks and probably won't find a place to live for 1-2 months. Stress is very high right now and very worried about my chemical sensitivities during this move and finding a place to live.

On top of that, I am due to start my period in roughly 5 days and am having problems with migraines and breast tenderness right now.

I wondered what your thoughts are in when I should start taking the remedy? Does it make any difference when I start as far as my cycle goes? And with all the stress of this move should I wait to start this til after the move?

Seems if I wait, it could be some time before we get settled. I guess I am concerned how I will react to the remedy because i have a huge history of health issues that may come back up through taking this. Chronic fatigue is very very extreme lately. Think I am still fighting off earache, throat/cough too.

This weekend I had an incident with some chemical in a store and had to leave. I don't know what it was, but immediately reacted to something and felt very dizzy, and unbalanced.

When I got home I took Heel's Body Pure for the mcs reaction and also have been taking spongia tosta as needed for dry cough and a homeopathic throat spray and ear drops.

I am also taking homeopathic Migraine remedy for prevention right now as I can tell it is coming. This always works in preventing it from happening. Again, I'd like to start taking the Arsenicum Album, but with all that is going on wanted to let you know in case you thought I should wait for any reason that I have mentioned.

I did take a constitutional Remedy Finder of 176 questions, I believe, and it showed Arsenicum Album as my constitutional remedy also. The top 3 were:

Sorry if I sound stressed....I am. Alot of worrying about health and moving so far away with nowhere to live. Found a hotel that is compatible til we find somewhere, but his new job only allows 30 days to find somewhere permanent to live and will pay for hotel til then.

I too have mcs and really sympathize with you. I also have fibromyalgia and when cold air hits my neck my back and shoulders go into a spasm. I have found I wear a scarf around my neck at all times, even when I'm sleeping and it really helps.

The snoring is excerbated by the way you sleep. The back position is the worse position for snoring because the back of the throat relaxes too much. If you could sleep on your side it would be better.

I started on the Ars. Alb 200c yesterday at 11a.m., next dose at 3pm and then at 7pm took last dose.

Within 15 minutes of taking first dose I noticed I could actually breathe better. Clear, full breaths. Another 10 minutes later and I felt a sense of calm and relaxation come over me. 2:00pm started having an old symptom appear of a band-like pressure on my shin area about 4'long. Lasted about 45 min.

Had a few more things come up, but didn't last more than an hour. Typically has been 20-30min.

Alot of stomach issues this morning though. Prob complicated by cycle about to start. Lower back ache which is typical for this time of month for me and some pre-menstrual cramping in lower abdomen area.

Am I allowed to take apple cider vinegar mixed with honey and water right now???
And/or virgin coconut oil?

The reason I ask is these things help quite immensely for me with period cramps. They can be quite incapacitating for me the first 24 hours then they are gone for the remainder of the cycle.

Or is there anything else I can take instead or am I to just suffer through it when it comes as part of the body doing it's healing?

I am keeping a note pad by me so I can log any reoccurences of symptoms past and keep track of progress.

One more question. I know not to have raw onion/garlic, but does that include them being present in a marinade? I only ask because it will be cooked, but didn't want to take any chances, so thought I'd ask first.

Wanted to give you update so far as there is a symptom concerning me.

Day 1:
15 min after taking first dose breathe clearer, full breaths
30 min later: feel relaxed, calm
4hrs later (2pm) band-like pressure on shin/calf area 4' long. Lasts short time
Toxic type headache/back of neck tight
2nd dose at 3pm: left teeth top and bottom feel pressure
4pm: right butt cheek itches, scratching does not relieve. Lasts couple hours

3rd dose: 7pm
10:25pm left top lip feels like it does when I have allergic reaction to mangoes. Lasts 25 min
Left palm itches. Lasts 30 min

Woke up at 3:30am with intense itching in left ear
4:00am stomach pains

Day 2:
Still stomach pains, lower back ache, loose stools yellow in color
11:30am Start cycle, cramps very intense and almost unbearable

3:40pm cramps much more manageable. (usually lasts 24 hrs)

7pm Cramps are back very strong through the night

Day 3:
Cramps tolerable
head feels toxic, neck aches, temples ache
Left ear itches off and on all day

Day 4:
Woke up with lots of itching bumps on tops of both feet. 10 on left foot 7 on right.
(thought maybe i got bit while sleeping, but fiance has no bites)
Itching is very intense. I do not scratch as I know it would make it worse.

Haven't been out of house in over a week, so, I do not think it's actual bites from anything.

Itching in left ear.

Day 5:
Red bite/bumps still on feet, still itch!
Went to beach today thinking salt water might help with these itchy bumps, but it did not.
Very windy, left ear bothered by wind as usual.

Day 6:
Couple more bumps on feet, woke up in middle of night with new bump on 2nd toe of right foot. Felt like a sting/bite and that's what woke me. Intense itching right away!
Slightly dizzy also and left ear still itches off and on.

Day 7:
Today, bites/bumps still itch not quite as bad it seems so far, however now starting to get them on arms, back, hips, thighs, stomach area, maybe top of my head also. Just a few, but growing concerned that it's not just feet now. Have no idea what it is. Does 'look' like red ant bites. Not as flat, round and big as mosquito. Not welt like.

Not sure if it's just my body cleansing through my pores or if it's something in my past (red ant bites, chicken pox, or something) coming out.

ALOT of anxiety and feeling it in my chest. Feels like I've been running but I haven't been. Like my heart is racing in my chest/throat.

I have one photo so you can get an idea of what these bites look like. Shows some of the bites on left foot.

Going to drink plenty of water today. First day drank over a gallon. Past few days haven't drank nearly as much.

Can I take any rescue remedy for the anxiety, b-complex? Also have Heel brand homeopathic Calming remedy on hand. Many other 30c single remedies on hand also if there is a single remedy you might suggest.

OR do I do nothing, but drink more water?

Have looked more closely at these itchy bumps. Right foot they have shrunk in size considerably, except for the 2nd toe. That bump is still quite big, but all around the itchiness on feet has diminished greatly.

The itchiness elsewhere I do not 'see' much of bumps. Tiny dot on left arm, back, stomach. Maybe just 'feels' itchy everywhere else.

Thinking it is probably body cleansing itself.

I do want to mention that when we went to the beach a couple days ago that I went into a store to use restroom and had to walk right out because the cleaner had just sprayed lysol in there and it was too much for me to handle with my chemical sensitivities.

So, I have had chemical exposure and wonder if it may have antidoted the Ars. Alb as I've had anxiety since Monday when I was exposed to the lysol. The itchy bumps were there before that exposure though.

Coincidence? I don't know, but also we are not being told if we are moving this weekend or next weekend, so, yes, I have alot of stress anyway. Alot to do, very little time and communication from his company is lacking greatly.

It has been 17 days since I took the Ars Alb now. Hard for me to discern whether it is still acting on me or if it antidoted due to environmental factors beyond my control or food allergies etc.

After my last post, I also had bumps appear on both sides of my neck. They are still there, but lessening. Seem prone to flaring up though as they did just the other day. They don't itch, just bothersome cause I know they're there. Kind of like pimples and some did have white heads on them.

Still have minor cough/throat irritation that showed up again a few days ago.

Also have stomach issues I haven't had in over 10 years. IBS type of complaints.

Still very tired and feel like I never slept most of the time. Still talking in sleep and snoring. Although, I must say that I do recall having alot more energy and feeling more refreshed up to a week after taking the Ars Alb. this is one reason why I fear it was antidoted.

Have knee pains and muscle tightness in calves showing up which was a problem for me 4 months ago. So, I am confused if it is still going through old pains/symptoms or if they are just returning.

Mouth and eyes still dry. Can't drink enough water. I think that did get a little better initially though.

I guess I am wondering if I keep waiting this out or should I take another dose?

Moving in a few days and driving 20 hours. :( Wheat is a very diff ingredient to stay away from. I usually take a grain remedy from NatraBio. I haven't taken any vitamins or combination remedies since taking the Ars Alb.

I normally would take willard water(trace mineral solution), vit c, b-complex, and combination remedies for dairy, wheat, migraine etc but afraid to antidote or mess the Ars Alb up.

My mood seemed to improve alot at first also. Was much more calm and at ease, patience was definitely there where before I'd have lost it. Impatience, stress, anxiety seems to be creeping back in also.

Please advise. I'll have internet for 3 more days, then hotel internet for a month. So, I'll be able to have access to internet the majority of the time. Thanks again!

**You know better your symptoms. Please be objective (it is very difficult !!) and don't take another dose if OVERALL you are doing better. You should take another dose only when you feel that you are worsening overall. You may also move to the higher potency (1M) before leaving Ars and exploring another remedy.

I am moved and settled in our house now and I can say with certainty that I have not gotten better overall. I have noticed more patience in my attitude, but overall health has not gotten better.

Should I take another dose of the arsenicum album 200c and see if that helps or should I skip that and buy the 1M potency instead?

I have for the past 3 months had alot of dizziness. Not sure what it is due to, but I feel it's from allergies to wheat and sugar blocking my eustachian tube. I am not dizzy all the time, only when laying down going to sitting position, but left ear is itchy alot of the time. I notice it gets worse after eating sugar. So, I do think it's an allergy and candida going on.

I still snore and talk in my sleep and all other symptoms I spoke of previously when I first sought help. I do think I somehow antidoted the first remedy. I wanted to ask for your guidance before just going ahead and taking it again.

If you do recommend I take ars alb again, am I to take it the same way 3x day 4 hours apart? Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Thank you for your response kadwa. Before I order the calc carb to take, I just found out this morning that I may be diabetic. (runs very deep in my family on father's side. Dad and brother have it, my grandmother and his grandmother all were diabetic. His 2 brothers are hypoglycemic) My urine has smelled very sweet like pineapple the past few mornings and I've been checking my blood sugar when I get up and yesterday it was 94 and this morning it was 113. Those are certainly high for not eating for 12+ hours. I have a glucose monitor because I check it due to family history. It's usually in the 70-82 range until now. Haven't felt well and I figured I better check it. Sure enough it has been high.

I just wanted to include that in my info and I saw you already replied. I will wait to see if calc carb is still what you recommend with my added info of blood sugar being high before ordering. Sorry I was not able to include this data before your response.

Hi kadwa,

It has now been 17 days since I took the Calc Carb 200c.

I have noticed a change in the drive I have to get up and do things around the house. More stamina/endurance, if you will. I also have been holding my chiropractic adjustments much better too.

I think the remedy may still be working through some things. I've had older symptoms flare up and leave and some keep coming back.

Still have the dry mouth, but doesn't seem as severe, eyes are not as dry most of the time now also. Lips still chapped, but not as much.

I have had an increase in sexual desire and more vaginal moisture also and I have to say that my menstrual cycle was a breeze! It came and went without issue which is amazing! I usually have the worst cramps for the first day or so. This last time, nothing. I mean nothing! It was great!

Sleeping has seen little improvement.....wake up feeling a little better than I used to. Not so hard to get up, however, my eye lids feel VERY heavy and are difficult to open even though I feel I have more energy upon wakening. It takes a minute or more to try to open them. Strange sensation, I must say.

Still snoring and talking in sleep. Dizziness comes and goes still. Afraid to lay down to sleep yet due to the dizziness so still sleeping in recliner. I do feel the dizziness is definitely related to eating sugar or other allergenic foods. I say this, because my left ear especially starts itching pretty badly if I've had some sugary foods for a couple of days. Then the itching drives me nuts. I am trying very hard to not eat as much sugar and hope to wean off of it, but is very hard.

Eye lids are not itching hardly at all anymore. I haven't noticed for over a week, so, that has gotten better also.

Had a few digestive issues surface and leave also. Stools seem larger than usual too.

So, I do feel it is helping some, but may still be working it's way through my system. I read that calc carb can stay in system for 3-4 weeks or more and I think that may be true.

I DID feel the aresenicum album was working on some areas of my body and it definitely had a positive change on my emotional self. I was less moody and had more patience. I really do believe it was antidoted because of the exposure to the lysol and air freshener so shortly after taking it.

Still of course have the mcs and allergies and still feel tired even though I have the drive to get things done. Emotionally, I still feel pretty good, I have my moments of depression or utter frustration with some stresses we are having in our lives right now, but I still feel more in control than I did before taking the arsenicum album, so I don't think the calc carb has had much impact on that or maybe it's complementary to the arsenicum album.

Thoughts? I wondered if I should take a stronger potency of the calc carb because of the dizziness that I do believe is a candida issue from sugar and eating allergenic foods. Right now, even though I really want the snoring/sleep talking issue to go away, the dizziness issue is the most frustrating. I still get the bumps on both sides of my neck randomly. That started with the arsenicum album and it may be something that I had as a teenager, but honestly can't recall. I had acne on my face, neck and upper back as a teenager. NO longer as an adult, but the pimples that come on the side of my neck I think may also be a part of the candida. I have noticed the last 2 times it happened, I believe it was also the same times the itchy ear and dizziness come on stronger.

About the dizziness, it's not like I am unable to function. Not at all. It just seems more prominent at certain times. It's not 24/7 dizziness. There are days when I feel it's probably ok to sleep in the bed that night and then somewhere in my day I get dizzy without even moving.....just sitting in my recliner watching tv it happens out of the blue, but again not daily and not often, but randomly. If I lay down, the dizziness seems more prominent when I sit back up, but it doesn't seem nearly as bad. Just afraid to actually keep laying there cause I don't want it to get worse from hours of laying down. So, I do really think it's my allergies/candida/inner ear issues. Spleen and liver areas are still sore to touch also. Sometimes even without touching. I also think this is probably due to the insulin resistance/food and chemical allergies and probably adrenal insufficiency too.

I feel that the arsenicum album and calc carb both were helping and in different ways. I feel generally a little better with the calc carb, but wonder if a stronger potency would be ok to try. Would it help knock out the candida issue? It sure seemed to help with the itchiness quickly in ears and eyes and now when itchy doesn't last as long which is why I think it still may be working.

Sorry so long, just trying to be thorough. Are there any questions you have for me I have not answered? I will wait for your advise before ordering any further remedies.

I do have another question. Yesterday I had a lot of dairy products, milk and cheeses and last night just getting up from recliner from semi-laying position the dizziness started again and some this morning, but not much.
Are you opposed to me making a remedy from sugar, wheat, dairy, corn or a remedy of the foods I am eating? (I know how to do this by hand but also have a homeopathic imprinter that I've had for 10 years that I can make a remedy with also.) I don't want to interfere with the calc carb so I wanted to ask you if it was ok first.
