This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am relieved to note that your aunt's reaction was not to Nat Phos but to the gastric flu that your family had caught.

If your baby is responding positively to the Nat Phos you can continue to give him half a tablet twice or thrice daily after a meal as it can only help his digestive process.

If however his symptoms go from bad to worse, you will have to consult a pediatrician and report the diagnosis.

Hello did you ever find the right remedy for your son- my story is a carbon copy of yours and I am desperate- hoping you'll read this thank you

Samjas55 last decade
To Samjas

I note that you have dug up a post dated October 2010 which may not be replied by the patient.

Would you like to give details of your son's problem?

Joe De Livera last decade
yes, if you read her intitial post, its like describing my son to the dot. Hes 6 months, weight gain great, but constantly arching and in pain, irritable, needs to be carried in upright position, most symptoms start occuring 30 min after meal (he eats frequently and small amounts)Its a roller coaster- he had an amazing week last week with virtually no symptoms for some strange reason and these past 2 days were back to square 1- Drs want to do diagnostic testing- worried about that- we tried zantac, prevacid (he was screaming all day on it) and nothing helps (might be motility issues i dont know) seems to be worse from solids.Ive tried so many different homeopathic remedies but am afraid to try this salt you recommend as it seems there are dangerous side effects on it written online. Im just at a loss and dont know how to help my son, is there anyway we can find out if she found help for her baby- its like reading my exact story- thank you

Samjas55 last decade
I note that you seem to have some reservations about using my default therapy and you state:
'Ive tried so many different homeopathic remedies but am afraid to try this salt you recommend as it seems there are dangerous side effects on it written online.'

You will have to make up your mind about whether or not you wish to use my therapy as I do not wish to waste my time in prescribing, if you have any reservations in doing so.

In any case I would dissuade you from doing any invasive testing on your baby in his own interest and STOP all PPI drugs you have been giving him as they have done and will do far more harm that any good.

i googled Natrium Phosphate salts and found some articles I didnt like with children- did you ever have safety issues with it? if not, what do you recommend for him in this case? 6 months, 19.6 lbs. I have no reservations if you havent seen any safety issues.
Is there anyway to contact that member that posted last year? If you have her email by any chance, I would really appreciate if you can let me know- she must have found something that worked for her baby- it would save our lives, thank you again

Hello Samjas55,

My son is still not 100% ok, but it improved a lot.
We tried a huge number of things, and I can make you a list of what worked.
I also have an ideea of what might cause the entire problem,
but I have to verify this.

Tommorow I'll write you everthing because it takes some time.

Until then I would like to ask you if it is possible that you answer the following questions:

1) What kind of vaccinations did your son have and when?

2)Did the mother of your child (you or your wife)have amalgam fillings and how many?

3) Was the birth of your child very hard? Natural or cesarian?

4)What is your country?

5)Are you consuming fermented foods?

So glad you wrote back. I'm the babys mom. I have an older daughter who had the same thing but 80% less and outgrew it when she started walking at 9 months. My son, 6 month old is a copy of what you wrote about yours last year. To answer your questions my delivery was hard but nothing out of ordinary. My son is on Neocate because they suspected MSPI as the culprit of his problem but I doubt it. I have some fillings not sure which ones. I ate wells during pregnancy. My poor child needs desperate help. We tried zantac ( worked few days), prevacid - he was screaming really hard on it, countless homeopathic stuff, he takes probiotics - we tried solids but I wasn't sure if he was reacting to them or perhaps just refluxing so we stopped. The strange part is that he can have a few days occasionally when he's perfect and then go back to square 1. When he's comfortable he's super smily and talkative and when he's not he's very agitated, nervous, not focused or interactive. He needs to keep moving and doing something different, stay upright and I literally carry him from place to place vertically, it's impossible. His best time is 15 min after he eats then his nonstop arching, swallowing and burping begin- he moans and is impossible to put to sleep. We can't put him on his back for anything even in a stroller, he flips over in a second. He loves to eat and is in 90 percent weight and height but he uses food as medicine and lately has been archy during his feeds as well. We've been to countless gastros and at this point they're directing us to endoscopies and ph probes and swallow studies. In my heart I feel there has to be a better solution to his comfort because he's gaining and developing. We just don't know what to do. I will be eagerly waiting for your email. I feel that someone who went through this can save us more than these docs, thank you again

Samjas55 last decade
Also he only had 1 vaccination to date - the dtp at 4 months, way after his condition started so I'm sure it's not a factor

Samjas55 last decade
Last thing - I had a very stressful pregnancy, my mom was diagnosed with bc and I went through her whole battle during those 9 months. She's fine today but my babys not:(, not sure if his gastro symptoms are related.

Samjas55 last decade
I also suspect motility problem because when he does spit up which is rare it's 2-3 hrs after eating. Were feeding him every 2 hrs little amount but that doesn't seem to help either. I'm from New York. I'm praying you can suggest things to help him and what worked for you in terms of medicine and which foods and milk. Something has to be done, he's suffering.

Samjas55 last decade
What homoeopathy have you used so far?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
We tried everything except for the salts- cam, nux vomica, carbo veegatalis, magn phosph, argentum nitricum- nothing shown consistent benefit.

Hi again,
First, sorry for my English, it's been a long time since I did not speak/write in English. If something is not clear, pls tell me and I’ll reformulate it.
What you are describing fits exactly my son, but he was even worse. He started back arching and screaming during feedings much earlier then yours. He was not even 2 month old. He also had some pain pick around 1,5 hours after feedings, and if I put him on his tummy at that time, he was always spitting up a little bit (very small amount) of milk, but always; if he was sleeping (very hard job!!) at that period, he was always waking up. I also could hear my baby respiration was very hard when he had those reflux crisis. Do you notice something like this? He was also having dry eczema, sometimes very bad. He was really really hard to burp, since he was very small. Is yours the same? The rest is perfectly matching, even the occasional spitting after 2-3 hours! My pregnancy was extremely stressful, especially the last semester, because I had a so called cholestasis of pregnancy (a problem with liver and gallbladder), with very very bad test results, the doctors here did not know almost nothing about it, and I had to do tests and analysis each day, they wanted me to stay in 3 different hospitals etc..., take out my baby, etc. Do you have problems with liver/gallbladder?
About my baby: exactly like yours, when he did not had those crises, he smiled at every one, he was talkative and paid a lot o f attention. He is very smart. Before 6 month he was able to stand up alone using his bed (not to sit! to stand up!), I think every thing derived from the fact that he wanted so much to stay vertically that in the and he did succeed. At 10 month he ran around holding things in his hands.
So if there is smbdy in this Earth who understands you, I am! Every body taught I’m crazy, they said “But he is looking so good, he has so much energy. Is just simple colic!” etc.. I was at the and of my nerves, I had to fight with everybody, I’m almost divorced my husband, etc.
One question is in my mind to finish the vaccinations subject. Didn’t he receive the Hepatitis B vaccine first day when he was born? Usually they do it without asking you.
I was at 10 doctors, the “best ones”, they gave him around 30 medication (more then I received my entire life) and they made him feel really miserable. So I stopped. I stopped going to classical doctors. I started to really hate them. I searched on the Internet as much as I could (in the mean time holding him vertically in my arms, of course), and started to use only natural staff, homeopathy and tried several homeopathic doctors, bioenergetics therapies etc. If I found something which worked fine (and that was rare), after a while started to not work anymore. :(
But here are some thing that I did and helped for a while and probably you should do (probably you already tried some of them):
-> Since week number 6, I put him to sleep on his tummy (I know about SID, but I know also a lot of other things, that I don’t have now time to detail)
-> the head of the bad should be upper then the part of the bed where his legs are, I put 2 big books under each of the 2 legs
-> If you want for motility, you can try Iberogast (search on the Internet from can you buy it), it is a completely natural stuff, and has a lot of very good reviews. According to the German researches, the results are much better then with conventional drugs. In some countries is recommended even from 3 month old babies, in others not, because it contains alcohol, but the percent of alcohol of one dose, which is diluted with water is so small, that if a baby eats a banana, it will generate by fermentation during digestion much more alcohol. Damian (my baby), after I gave him first time I notice that he was a little bit worse, but after a few days, giving him, I notice improvement on how he digested the food.
-> I suspect that the problem was not simple motility, but generated by spasms, probably pyloric spasm. What I suggest you to try, that I would love to, but here is very hard (only one in the entire country, and hard to reach) is osteopath (chiropractor), I read a lot of huge improvements, even complete recoveries from reflux babies with this osteopathic procedures. I was with Damian at 2 persons, which tried some massage kind of osteopathy, but they were not specialized for babies, but still, I noticed an improvement. Please tell me if you try it. I think this is necessary in every baby natural born, especially if it was a hard birth, and the baby is arching back, screaming, and have reflux and allergies.
-> Homeopathy it helped a lot. But he is oversensitive. If he is receiving a remedy that does not fit him, he will develop all the bad symptoms of that, and also all the aggravations of a remedy that fits him, and only after that, the good parts of it. The most suitable for him were the LM dilution because they are milder. Keep in mind that each baby personality is different, what worked for mine might not work for yours.
The best it worked Lycopodium for long time. Clacareea carbonica. Tissue salt: magnesia phosphorica.
-> I left the most important points for the end. Try elimination diet. When I eliminated diary, it was a huge improvement! I went from an almost continually screaming baby to a baby which was crying sometimes in pain. He was also reacting to gluten things (I did not gave him, but through my milk), corn, nuts fish, even to apple. Be aware that if he is reacting to corn, this is found almost in every thing, especially in milk powder. Even in Neocate! At least the Neocate junior contains corn syrup!
As they grow, and their system matures, they tend to not react to everything.
You can do an intolerance test based on his hair sample: www.testyourintoleranceusa.com
I did it, but just a few month ago, and avoid the things which they found. They can gave you also his deficiencies.
-> Probiotics are very important. But please try the ones which contains a lot of bacteria, a lot of types, and are not based on dairy (these are the hardest to find). If you want please tell me and I can give you my list.
There are some important thing about solids, and leaky gut, but only tommorow because now is very late.
I wish you good night sleep! At least a little bit!

Were any of those remedies prescribed by a clasical (traditional) homoeopath?

If not I am happy to try and help you.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Thank you so much but I need to clarify many things.
First to answer your questions:
1)No, he did not have hepatitis b vaccine in hospital
2) No gallblader/liver problems.
3) Yes he has the heavy breathing and extremely high muscle tone like your son- hes ready to walk. The only thing worse is if i put him on his stomach he raises his head crying and cant relax. He has such a good week last week- he was so calm and smily and laughed and this week hes crying all day< arching and stopped being interactive which scares me.

Your situation is exactly mine to the dot- my marrriage is suffering.

I need to clarify all your advice.
1) Osteopath chiropractor- how do I find one in America?
2) Did you feel the problem had to do with acid as well? I use Zantac on and off- sometimes i feel a benefit, other times not.
3) Should I give him the motility Iberogast?? What dose and for how long time?
4) What is LM dilution- what dose and for how long?
5) I have Lycopodium 200cc at home- how much of it should I give? At the same time with everything else?
6)Clacareea carbonica- what dose and for how long?? Magnesia phosphorica- what dose and for how long? I need a specific plan on everything you said.
7) Neocate contains no dairy, it is amino-acid based. What formula contains no corn?? Not sure.

8) Most importantly, he is 6 months old- what should I do about solids?? We started oatmeal this week- hes very bad- but i dont know if hes reacting to it badly or not- who knows- should I avoid all gluten? How did you start and do solids? How much formula with it?

Most importantly, how is he doing today?? Please give me hope!!!

I feel like I found someone on the other side of the world that can help me. Ill be waiting for your reply

Hi Samjas55,
There is so much information I want to share with you, that I even don’t know where to start.
Today Damian (in general, because he can be better or worse depending on some factors that I’ll tell you later):
- during the day he is very active, plays a lot (usually not alone, but that’s a different story), sometimes he can be a little stubborn. He does not talk (only a few words), but understands everything, even details that you’d never say. If one sees him, would say that he is a perfectly healthy boy.
- during meals, he usually eats, but less that he should eat at his age, however, if you offer him different food when he refuses one, he can eat quite enough. (after he burps, he might refuse the food previously offered, I suspect that this have to do with a small feeding aversion, because of some discomfort, but nowhere it was)
- one nap during the day, and night sleep, unfortunately I still have to rock him to sleep (but not in my arms, I lay him horizontally on his tummy on something flat that I put on my legs). He wakes up around 2-3-4 times per night, and 1-2 times per nap (but he wants to sleep, and I have to help him by holding him vertically for a few minutes than I can put him horizontally again).
- REspiration much better, only very rare I hear that he does not breathe ok.
My biggest problem is sleep, but I’m working on it. I suggest you the following site: http://www.babysleepsite.com. I did not buy anything there, just read the free information and newsletter and it help me a lot. There you find how much, and when should our babies sleep. This is important, because sometimes they cry not only because of pain, but also because they are very tired, giving the fact that there reflux wakes them up.
However, I’m sure that sleep will be completely solved when problem will be completely solved.
What I observed and read: these babies an extremely sensitive to everything: chemicals in foods, in air, vaccination, teething, small illnesses, colds, etc, EVERYTHING will make their reflux worse.
About solids: please don’t start with cereals, these are very hard to digest at their age, and especially for these silence reflux babies, which are already having digestive issues. And the worse possible are cereals with gluten. Choose a nutrient dense vegetable or fruit at your choice (I started with vegetables, that he will not reject them after fruits), but not the starchy one (so no banana, no potato) cook it to be very very tender, and start with half of spoon. If you don’t see any reaction (nervousness, irritability after eating, eczema, etc ), continue to feed it with the same amount for a few days, and then double the amount, and so on. Please don’t hurry things, usually the lining of the stomach, intestines are irritated, and you have to be very careful to not make new intolerances (there where times when I taught my son have intolerance to almost everything except carrot juice). If something is working you can add a new one (e.g a new vegetable), and then after you have some vegetables, you can add a little bit of olive oil cold pressed. First the food should be more liquid and then increasingly solid.
I lost a lot of time by hurrying up things, and I would not do this again, if I would had to start again.
There is a doctor who cured her son out of autism, and everything is about diet, please make some time and read it, is very important. Read the article and listen/read the conversation:
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/07/3...
You’ll find there her website, where she writes about weaning.
I have to go, tomorrow I’ll continue.

I have so much to ask you, Im so confused. Is there any possible way I can call you sometime?? Emailing will take too long. Give me a date and exact time- whatever is conveneient for you- Im from New York so we can calculate time change. You have no idea how much I need your help, thank you again.

Samjas55 last decade
Ok I have looked over your posts but it is not enough to prescribe on. I am very wary about using someone else's descriptions of their child to make a prescription for yours.

Can you list each symptom he has, one at a time, and for each one give the following details.

1. What exactly happens? give a detailed description.

2. What triggers it into happening?

3. What appeared to start it happening (in the beginning)?

4. What aggravates the symptom while it is happening?

5. What helps the symptom while it is happening?

6. Does it happen at particular times of the day?

Also please give details on the family history of illness, including yours. Give details of the pregnancy, especially any symptoms or problems you had during this time. Give details of the birth too.

Lastly, please provide these details:

1. Colour, odour, location on the body of perspiration.

2. Position he sleeps in, any requirement he has for sleep.

3. Colour, odour, consistency of stool and urine.

4. Colour of skin.

5. Thirst and appetite, when are they most and when are they least.

6. Fears or anxieties that are already present in him.

Ok,

What about Monday at 20 o'clock my time (GMT +2:00), so that would be 13 o'clock your time?

Pls suggest other interval if is not ok.

HopeMiha last decade
I can do anyday from 7-10 or after 17 oclock my time, let me know when.
Im having the worst couple of days with him- just nonstop fussiness and screaming in sleep.

Samjas55 last decade
17 o'clock it's after midnight, so it's a little bit late. From 7-10, it matches with my baby nap time, when I have to guard him to not wake-up.

But, I can do it in week-end when my husband is here and takes care of Damian.
So what about Saturday?

Until then, my first suggestion would be if it is possible for you to take him to Osteopath/chiropractor- here is an example of site where to find:
http://icpa4kids.org/Find-a-Chiropractor/
But if you have time, would be better to google and find one which completely cured reflux babies, and go there.

I really understand you. Mine is teething 6 at once! So reflux got worse...
