Thank you. I would like to get rid of this aggravation completely before even considering further treatment. I will look through the site you provided. I’m concerned about the aggravation mostly. I’m hoping it will go away, but it’s very slow process.

I think you should find a professional right away. The best way forward is to give you the correct medicine, as that will remove the overdose immediately.

It's too difficult to assess a fresh case of scabies mixed with an aggravation on the internet.

A professional in person will be able to solve the problem immediately, and it's worse to wait if the scabies case is fresh.

Once the aggravation is done, stop the Aconite. You don't want to overdose on that!

In general, in many cases, one gives a homeopathic remedy once that lasts from a week to several months.

For example, one person I'm treating uses her remedy once per month, another once per week, etc.

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
I actually feel very sleepy, tired now. I stopped aconite, even though agravation is not completdly over.
Well, I can't answer all those questions publicly. Any way to email you or something? Or how can I find a homeopath in NYC who doesn't charge that much?

MisterX last decade
Usually the first appointment is the time consuming session. It usually takes 2 hours. The practitioners that I'm familiar with charge about $250-$300 for the first appointment, and perhaps $75/$100 per hour of follow up. But in most cases, 75% of the time is the first session. Once the correct remedy is found, one might follow up once every few months, or just occasionally weekly or monthly for a half hour by phone depending on the case.

Look for someone who calls themselves a 'Classical Homeopath' and make sure to mention that you've just had scabies. Correct homeopathic treatment of scabies can prevent serious health issues later on. Actually homeopathicly treating a case of scabies is a very good time to begin homeopathy, because a return to perfect health is more available then than at other times.

This morning I got slightly increased itching again. Should I take aconite 6c again?
Two homeopaths didn't return my call, and one charges almost $700. I'm getting kind of desperate again.

MisterX last decade
I think you should keep looking for another homeopath. There's got to be someone in your area who charges less than that.

You can keep taking sips of the Aconite, shaking the container 10 times before each use.

Again the Aconite won't help with the scabies, only with the overdose of Sulph.

It's very difficult to give guidance in this situation without more information.

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
Ok, I will take aconite 6c.
Do you have a website or any way to contact you in private (email) to answer those questions?

MisterX last decade
I don't have a website. If you'd like to post your email or phone number, I might be able to help.

If you are comfortable, you can anonymously add your case as many others do to this forum. There are many experts who give advice to patients in search of their correct remedies.

When a patient gets scabies (sometimes called psora in homeopathy), there is an opportunity for the patient to use a remedy like Sulphur and cure the condition itself plus all similar conditions that might be in their own history or that they might be predisposed to from their family history. This can sometimes save a patient from a year or two of homeopathic treatment!

There is a possibility that you, very lucky and wisely cured the psora yourself with Sulph. Your attitude in this forum doesn't show any psoric symptoms besides the overdose of Sulph. It does show what homeopaths call sycosis or figwarts.

Because your attitude seems very much connected to the figwarts, and not at all psoric, you probably need another remedy to treat that.

You can try putting any bothersome symptoms (that started before the scabies) in the Remedy Finder and looking for a correct remedy.

PS. The Sulphur was probably the very best remedy you could have used. You simply used it for too many days. Usually a remedy if given correctly only needs to be used one time. In a serious case of scabies it might be used a few times at most.

Thanks.
Please explain what you mean by “you can anonymously add your case as many others do to this forum”? If I post it on a forum it’s nor really anonymous, I don’t want to go into technical details, but even my address can be traced from a post on a forum, if someone wanted it. Not that I’m paranoid or something, but it doesn’t seem right. I will try to go through the Remedy Finder tomorrow.
I could email you my case (answering those 40 or so personal questions) if you wish.

My aggravation (or whatever that is) has worsen again today. Can this be just overdose on the sulfur ointment and not the homeopathic sulphur? I will see a dermatologist on Monday, but I’m 99% sure he won’t help (I’ve have bad experience with dermats. already).

I encountered a post on another website when people described similar symptoms which are the result of allergy on sulfur in oral medications. I think my trouble could be also caused by sulfur ointment, could it? My skin on chest/neck/arms is extremely sensitive now (hypersensitivity) and itching badly.

MisterX last decade
I thought you stopped the sulfur ointment and all other skin ointments, as they cause terrible damage.

If you can get Aconite 30c today, put one pellet in a 10oz of water, and drink one tablespoon. That could stop your aggravation.

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
I did stop the ointment long time ago. I meant could the ointment (not the homeopathic sulphur) cause the aggravation while I was still using it? If yes, is there an antidote for sulfur ointment?
I can’t stop other ointments because I’m in pain. Trying to use the oil from vitamin E gels and saponin from soap nuts – it helps for a while.

I will try to get Aconite 30c tomorrow.

The Remedy Finder returned this result:
--------------------------
The homeopathic remedy which best matches your symptoms is Mercurius Vivus
Of your symptoms, it applies to these:
• skin; itching;
• skin; itching; worse perspiration;
• skin; itching; worse scratching;
• skin; itching; on becoming warm; ;
• skin; sensitive;

However, it is not relevant to the following. If any of them are central to your case, you should consult the remedy grid (click next again).

• skin; itching; better cold air;
• skin; itching; painful parts;

As JH as said, you need to get proper treatment to get rid of these symptoms. Stop looking at is as a reaction and see it as a disease that needs to be fixed.

brisbanehomoeopath,
A homeopath in my area charges as much as I make per week, I can’t afford you guys. I looked through Remedy Finder because JH recommended me doing so.

Jewish Homeopath,
do I need to get Mercurius Vivus according to Remedy Finder results? What dosage? How to take?

And what about Aconite 30C? Do I need it as well? Please, reply.

MisterX last decade
Correction: I misread your post and put my current symptoms to the Remedy Finder, not the symptoms that started before the scabies. So my current symptoms returned Mercurius Vivus.

I then put the symptoms associated with scabies (I don’t seem to be having them now) and it returned Sulphur .

When I put general acne that I’ve always had (but much less for past 2 yeas) – it returned Arsenicum Album.

Should I get any of these now? Or I should get Aconite 30C only?

MisterX last decade
I bought Aconitum 30C and took one tablespoon. I felt slight improvement for 2 hours after that. But now the itch is back. How often should I take it? One sip every time? Thanks.

One of the problems with the Remedy Finder is that most people using it have no idea how to select the symptoms to put in. Just typing in every symptom you have will not give the the best answer. There is a whole set of guidelines behind the selection and order of importance of symptoms.

Itching is a general undifferentiated symptom and will never direct you to a specific remedy (all remedies have it). Exclude the symptom from your analysis.

Sensitive skin is a general undifferentiated symptom and as above, will never lead you to a specific remedy. Exclude the symptom from your analysis.

Itching < scratching means that when you scratch, the itching becomes more intense or spreads - is this what you meant? It is a good symptom if true, because the normal reaction to scratching is to improve the itch (and thus is useless for selecting a remedy).

The best symptoms for selecting a remedy are general ones - those that affect the whole person rather than just the part. Selection of a remedy based on the general state will often work well even if no notice is taken of the symptoms affecting individual parts.

I suggested Aconite because the state is one of panic, anxiety, fear, restless, agitation. Of course I recognize an Aconite person when they come in to see me - in suggesting it to you I am trying to guess that state from the tone of your posts.

If the Aconite is appropriate at this point, repeat the remedy every 2 hours, but if you have taken 5 doses stop. Then we can reassess.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
brisbanehomoeopath,
Well, I thought you’ve recommended me taking Aconite as an antidote to Sulphur. I don’t understand it – my panic and anxiety is caused by the physical pain associated with itching. I’m normally quiet and calm. Is there a way to address itching itself? If there would be no itching – there would be no panic. Can we antidote Sulphur?

Anyway, I will take 5 doses, then stop and report.

Ok, 2 weeks had passed by. My aggravation went away. I only have occasional and very minor itching.

Bit today I got scabies again. I’m almost certain that I got it while sitting in NYC subway’s car. Bums are frequent visitors to NY subway where they occupy a whole car while emitting inconceivably strong odor. Probably I happened to sit on a pre-bum-owned sit. I started feeling that
insect-bite tingle again!

Now that my aggravation from overdose of Sulphur 30C is gone, how do I cure scabies with homeopathy? Should I take Sulphur 30C one pellet, dissolved in 10 oz of water? How often: once a week? Or once in 10 days? Should I drink all 10 oz?

I must add that symptoms that I have now (along with symptoms that I had prior starting overdosing with Sulphur 30C) are different from aggravation. Now I have crawling sensation on skin, insect-bite-like tingle and insect-like bites afterwards, blisters, bumps. On contrary, aggravation is just itching and red skin, nothing else (no crawling or insect bite sensations, no tingle, no bumps, etc).

Please, advice!
Thanks!

I think that taking Sulphur again would be disasterous for you. I am kind of suprised that you would be willing to risk it again.

It is good to hear that the Aconite cured the state you ended up in. Very good to hear.

The symptoms that you are describing are normal symptoms for scabies. They will not be useful for choosing a remedy. A remedy should be chosen on the basis of the whole case, paying particular attention to peculiars and symptoms relating to you as a person rather than just your skin.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Well, I would risk it to try small dosages of Sulphur 30C because, after all, it did cure my scabies until today’s subway incident! Can I try small dosages and see what happens? What would be safe dosages?
I can’t afford visiting a homeopath in my area. The prices start from $375 with no confidence if the doc is actually good…
