Hello, Rudolf had another fit this morning, 17 days after his last fit. We were not there to help him. My husband came a little earlier from work today and Rudolf was a little confused and bumping into things, also with damage in his head, lip and leg because of the convulsions. This time it happend in the backyard. This morning he was happy, played normally and ate all his breakfast, so I was not able to predict anything, I was expecting for the fit to occur later on, around day 25 to 30th of July (following the 20 to 26 days cycle).

There is a new member in our family, it is a bird; he came home two weeks ago. Rudolf gets very nervous and jealous whenever he sees my husband feed the bird or whenever the bird moves and makes loud sounds. We think that this may have accelerated the fit.

Shall we continue with the Opium 30C dose ? Thanks for your help.

Give one dose of Opium 1M, and discontinue the 30c for the moment.

My husband gave Rudolf a dose of Opium 1M yesterday afternoon/night when he found Rudolf confused. We discontinue the 30C dose as you suggest. Thanks,

Rudolf almost had another fit this morning before lunch, we were able to stop it with a diazepan enema and ice in his back to cool him down.

I gave him a dose of Opium 1M this morning after the morning walk because he was acting strange. What shall we do ? Thanks,

Rudolf last decade
Time to swap to Lycopodium. Give him a dose exactly as you have the Opium 1M.

Hello, It is day 10th since we started with the Lycopodium dose. Rudolf seems to be more tolerant with the bird, but still gets nervous and dominating some times, even with new puppys that he hasn´t met before (this of course we don´t like). He is eating very well and wants to play, plus walk. He pulls of leash a bit less during walks and wants to smell everything. I may want to say that he is doing better, regarding his behaviour, but very slowly. The reason I also write you is becuase another fit will surely follow soon (maybe within a week or so) and it will be the first time we give him the Lycopodium dose after the fit, if we are not able to stop it from happening. We know that the Opium 1M dose worked very well after the fit because it helps Rudolf to calm down so that another fit dose not occurr, but we don´t know the reaction with the Lycopodium. So if Lycopodium does not work properly after the fit, would in be possible to give him a dose of Opium 1M (after the fit) even if we have given him a dose of Lycopodium 1M before the fit ?? Thank you very much for your reply. Regards,

Don't mix the medicines - he can only really be either Lycopodium or Opium. Slow improvement is good, that is what we want. This means the soil in which the problem has grown is being changed.

Is anything unchanged at this point? Are the things that improved still improving or have they stabalized?

OK, thanks. I will need to think about your question, but as a quick answer I think that things are still improving very slowly.

Hello, Rudolf almost had a fit this Sunday. We noticed strange behaviour during Saturday and I gave him his Lycopodium dose on Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning he seemed to be ok, but around noon he started to stare towards the infinity and trip down with his legs. His body started to shake and and I quickly gave him another dose of Lycopodyum, putted ice on his back and a Diazepan enema. A few minutes later he was fine. Monday he was fine, although a bit nervous, and today Tuesday morning he has been very excited and nervous, shall I give him another dose of Lycopodium or shall I better wait ?

Rudolf last decade
Just wait, as he has had 2 doses already.

Hello,
Rudolf had another fit yesterday night around 11:00 p.m. This time he didn´t advice us and some other different things also happened. During the fit there was intense movement of front legs (as always), but I think back legs didn´t move they were stretched and the tail in between them (he was afraid, back legs use to move very much also). Also he screamed during the fit, he has never screamed before. He fell over his right side, when normally he falls on the left side. Blood came out of his penis after the fit, in more quantity than other times.

The previous real attack was on July 22nd, so 27 days has passed since then (which is good), but he almost had an attack on August 8th and July 24th. We started with the Lycopodium on July 25th and I gave him the dose on July 7th & July 16th, due to signals of strange behavior.

Rudolf is still a very nervous dog and since around the 16th he is a little more aggressive and over active. Thanks for your help.

Hello,
Maybe you didn´t read previous note (date August 19th). The fit repeated during the morning/mid day of August 19th, but we were not there to help Rudolf because we were working. He damaged or bit his front right leg during the fit, it was the first time he did this. When we came home he was really down and very nervous, but we were able to calm him.

Two days after the fit, we noticed that his tongue was getting a bit bluer than normal and his gums were strawberry red. We became preoccupied because that is a signal of Cyanide poisoning, but he appeared to be fine. The next days Rudolf was very sick with fever, trembling, vomiting ... We knew then that some crazy neighbor has poisonned him again. We are giving him B12 vitamin for the Cyanide poison and today he is feeling better.
Both fits and poisoning are affective Rudolf´s head very negatively and he is starting to have problems with the coordination of his legs, specially the back ones. Also he is getting panic very easily, especially with the noices, the dark and the door slams.
He is still very nervous. Shall I give him the Lycopodium dose again or shall I try with some herbs infusion ? Thanks,

Hello,
Rudolf had another fit yesterday, 12 days after the last one. We were not there to help him because it was around midday. I gave him a dose of Lycopodium at around 5:30 a.m. because I noticed that things were going wrong, but the fit came some hours after. This time he damaged his lower jaw considerably, he must have hit it against something hard. Periodicity of fits stills the same: 10 to 13 days or 20 to 26 days. It is true that recuperation after the fit is better because he recovers the consciousness very quickly, but intensity and periodicity have not changed much.
One other thing that we have noticed is that he starts to leak the floor a few days or even a few hours before the fit, maybe his body lacks of some minerals or something. What do you think ? Are we going the right way ? Thanks for your help.

Ok sorry I missed your posts, I have been away.

Some improvement is good - his vital energy is obviously better than before. But we are still not there - I will look over the case again.

OK thanks a lot.

Hello,
This weekend we have gone to a house in the countryside with Rudolf thinking that it would be good for him to run through the vegetation, play with the sheeps, the birds, etc.; but it was terrible, he was crying and yelling all the time and I think he was really afraid(his tail between the back legs). I gave him a dose of Lycopodium just the moment we arrived there because we noticed that he was becoming nervous. He couldn´t sleep the first day.

Ok get hold of Stramonium 200c and give him a dose.

I have been thinking quite alot about this case. I came across a very good article written by George Vithoulkas about the remedy Atropinum, which looked a lot like this case. Can you look into getting hold of this remedy?

Also, did you try the Stramonium (which happens to be a related remedy to Atropinum).

Hello,
Thank you very much for your concern and great help. I did not give the Stramonium dose to Rudolf yet because he has been very calmed and with a very upset stomach since we returned back home from our long weekend in the country side. I thought that maybe results of the Stramonium would be disguised with his calmed behavior. Now he is getting more active and stomach is a little bit better, not 100% ok, so I will give him the dose when I return back home. On the other hand, yes I can get hold of Atropinum; potency 200C right ? I will keep you informed.

Rudolf last decade
Two days have passed since the first Stramoniu dose (plus 14 days from the last fit) and Rudolf is happy and playing a lot. He was calmer yesterday but today he is nervous. He jumped from the layed down position when he saw the backyard door close and started to run away from it (he is afraid of door slams). He also barked a lot to the bird when he saw my husband feeding him; this used to be normal but he has not barked to the bird since we came back from the long weekend in the country side (1 week ago). A good thing is that I think that ears and head are not trembling so much and are cooler. His stomach is better now.

On the other hand, I now have the Atropinum 200CH; but we will wait for your advice.

Rudolf last decade
Obviously we need to stay with Stramonium until we are sure that it is right or wrong here. So just continuing observing him for the moment.

OK. Rudolf had another fit this night around 1:00 a.m. This time it was shorter and not so hard; also it was different. He always laid down over one side, normally the left side, but this time he laid over his belly with the back legs open one to each side and the front legs expanded towards the front. His back legs were not able to shake, but all his body did. The problem is that during convulsions his parts hit the floor probably hardly and a lot of blood came out of his penis. Also, he was not able to stand up after the fit, as if there was no strength in his back legs (maybe they were sleep). The fit almost repeated 20min after, but we were able to stop the second one. During the morning walk he was nervous, pulling on the leash and smelling a lot, so probably fit/s will repeat during the day. Let´s see how we find him when we get back home from work.

Repeat the Stramonium right away.

Poor guy I really feel for him.

Hello, Rudolf almost had two fits today afternoon; thanks my husband was at home and he was able to stop them. Only five days have passed since the last one. The almost first fit one occurred a few meters away from home, during a walk, he started shaking and pulling his body down. The almost second fit occurred at home approx. 30 mins after because Rudolf was not able to calm down. Maybe they were petit mal.

What I have noticed with the first day of the Stramonium is that Rudolf is hyper-active, pulls during the walks, barks very loudly to his bird friend, smells everything (specially the female dogs residues and pees), his tongue is strangely folded to a side (the right one), to us those are signals of a fit coming soon.

We have an additional problem and that is that I am going through surgery this Thursday and I don´t know when I will come back and my husband will probably spend a lot of time with me; so Rudolf will be alone for a longer time everyday and he does not like this. What do you think that we should do because we are really worried ? Thanks for your help.

Rudolf last decade
Get the Atropinum if you can, 30c and 200c.
