Chronic Asthma for over 21years now Page 2 of 15

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Start on my therapy while using the minimum of your drugs. Stop the Seretide but use the Ventolin when necessary.

The steam therapy I have outlined is essential as it is necessary to rid the lungs of the phlegm which is usually a major problem with chronic Asthmatics. This steam protocol followed by the physiotherapy must be done at least twice preferably thrice daily. You will have to get someone to slap your back to promote the outflow of phlegm.

I hope you receive post in good health.Ameen.

This is an update into my condition since I started the new therapy.

I haven't had the seretide disk since you requested I stop using this.
My present condition is my chest is very tight and wheezy.I am basically out of breath just walking a good few yards.

The condition that I am in now and I say this from past experiences is purely based on me not taking the seretide disk.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I know my lungs are very full of mucus and possibly my body/immune system over produces mucus as well.

I have been using the Ventolin when necessary.

Please confirm that you are using the Physiotherapy I have prescribed.

This is designed to rid the lungs and trachea of the phlegm and mucous that is clogging them and will enable you to breathe more easily.

If you feel that you must use the Seretide you can do so but only on a SOS basis.

Please list the remedies you are using today in detail.

Yes I can confirm that I am using the physiotherapy that you have prescribed.I feel my chest/lungs are full of phlegm and mucus its very thick so it could take some time before I see it moving.

The seretide I take only in the morning and night. Its not like the Ventolin that helps immediately to give you your breath back, rather its works as a preventer. The only problem with the Seretide disk its basically its a steroid inhaler.I believe any person using this just ends up becoming more immune to it over a period of time. Its only a matter of time before a persons body gets used to the intake of steroids on a daily basis and then starts requiring a higher dose at some point.

Please see below link.

I am using Ars Alb 30c wet dose 2twice a day.

Blatta Orientalis 6c wet dose twice a day.

Calc Carb 30C wet dose thrice a day.

Nikkie

Do you have any recollection of the therapy you used which cured you?

Joe De Livera last decade
Hi Nikkie,

Thank you so much for reading my posts and giving us an insight into your illness.

Its really amazing that you feel so good.I am so happy to hear that you are cured, this gives me some hope.

You requested food habits,so I will try my best to give as much information as I can.

I avoid all dairy products and bananas whilst I am in the UK but surprisingly when I'm in a hot climate country it doesn't affect me.

I also stay away from carbonated drinks and ice cold water/drinks.

Other products would be anything cooked or fried in vegetable oil.

My diet is up and down in the sense that i dont sleep well at night because of my condition and when i do get a good nights sleep.I eat fruit, vegetables, bread, meat thorough out the day.

I hope the above info helps you.If you require any more information then please ask, honestly I dont mind.

Can I request what medicine you took?

How long did you take it for?

Sorry for asking these questions,I'm so happy that you have told me about yourself and I feel any information you give to us will be useful.

I hope I can get cured.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you once again Nikkie.

Takecare

I also was asthmatic for many years - in fact from age 2 to my early 30s. Homoeopathy was wonderful in dealing with something that had crippled me for such a large part of my life.

So it is possible with a good homoeopath, when used properly. The asthma was just part of the bigger problem for me that needed to be cured. I have been well for so long now, I no longer even know where my old ventolin inhalers are, or have even thought of having one for emergencies.

I was treated constitutionally by a homoeopath who was well trained. In fact, I was so inspired by what she did for me, that she was the reason I went on to study homoeopathy as well. I even went to the same college, had the same teachers - I was that impressed.

The asthma sprang from my disordered vital force - so she went about treating this. Phosphorous, Calc carb, Tuberculinum, Lyssin, Venus and Leptandra were all signficant milestones in that curative process for me. She also removed my insomnia, cured my phobia about insects, stopped my nightmares, allowed me to gain weight - so many positive changes. I am so indebted to her.

She actually came to my graduation - she said she was really proud that her work had created another homoeopath.

Chances are good - homoeopathy is highly effective with asthma (and a host of other conditions).

Although my asthma reduced dramatically within the first few months, it took years before I could throw away my Ventolin. Previous to that I was using Becotide as well as a preventative. It seemed to me at the time, that my asthma reduced in stages, going from severe to moderate to mild, to barely there at all. Some remedies improved the asthma more than others - those others seem to seek out other symptoms rather than the asthma. It was an interesting 'back and forth' healing. Each time my asthma was targetted by the remedies it improved. At other times the asthma remained stable but then different symptoms were improving. I occasionally suffered setbacks - mostly from my own stupid behaviour, such as when I would suppress skin conditions with orthodox medicine. That caused my homoeopath the most trouble and it would take months to get back to where I was. As a homoeopath this has made me particularly careful around palliation and suppression.

Dear Brisbanehomeopath,

Thanks for your reply.

Its good to hear from your experience as it gives an idea of what to expect.

Your case does give a glimmer of hope to me.

I have had my condition for 21yrs now and I think the phlegm is very very think in my lungs and I feel i would need a very strong remedy to break this phlegm/catarrh down.I also think that my body over produces phlegm/catarrh.

Whats your thoughts on the Dr.Reckeweg brand?

As a Homeopath what remedy do you think is good for breaking up thick catarrh?

I am a traditionally trained homoeopath and have found little reason to stray from that training over the years. The approach that worked for me, and that I follow for my patients, is to individually prescribe a single medicine based on the whole case, changed only if the case changes or the prescription doesn't help.

My background and training also means I don't prescribe remedies for the name of the problem (phlegm, asthma etc) or use combination remedies like Reckewegs which breaks every rule in homoeopathy.

Typically, I would look at symptoms from all over the body, symptoms from all levels like mental, emotional, physical. I would look at the history, the genetics, childhood issues. Once I understand the basic problem in the person's health, a medicine is given to try and spark an increase in their level of vitality. The asthma often naturally improves as this is done.

There are multiple methods of using homoeopathy however - and I may use others depending on the situation (Isopathy, Miasmatic prescribing, Nosodes, Sarcodes and so on).

Dear Brisbanehomeopath,

Sure I respect your thoughts and methods on treating cases.

In my limited understanding of my illness I have become very desperate for a cure to treat my illness so please forgive me if I come across as someone who keeps looking for answers.

I have tried Dr.Reckeweg for quite a a few years and after reading about you,i was wondering what your thoughts were on this brand. Its interesting and I'm happy that you have give me your thoughts on this.

Very very fruitful information. May God bless you all.

The constitutional remedy approach is the way to go, but, very difficult to arrive at a correct remedy due to noise in data, patient's patience and timing.

In my experience, I've obtained very good results with Thuja and Natrum Sulph. Ipecac for temporary relief when it becomes hard to breath.

Hello Alhambra,

May God bless you with more strength to deal with this disease.

You may consider taking a dose of Ipecac 30C as needed during the out of breath situation. Please remember that this remedy will only provide temporary relief at that time.

Please discuss Thuja and Nat Sulph for complete cure with respectable Joe De. Livera for his kind consideration.

Inshallah, our prayers will be heard soon!

Regards
Nawaz

Dear nawazkhan,

Thank you so much for your prayers.

The problem I'm having is that when im using the Ventolin inhaler on a SOS basis its helping me breath for a a couple of hrs, once the inhaler wears off im back to a wheezy chest, tight chest and heavy breathing.

I'm not ignoring your advice as i am ever so grateful that you are helping me.I can order the Ipecac 30c but this will take a couple of days before it arrives.

Sure I will discuss with Joe your kind advice.

I pray that prayers are heard.Ameen.
