Chronic Asthma for over 21years now Page 5 of 15

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What do you mean when you say your chest is 'blown out'?

What exactly was the pressure you placed on yourself growing up?

What was the experience of being a model to your siblings?

Just describe more on these sensations:

Blocked
Squeezed
Choked
Heavy
Full

In describing them, give me images or pictures or examples, and words that mean similar things. I want to understand the sensation, almost as if I had it myself.

So the effect of asthma is to make you older, is that correct? Is that the only effect on your life? Has it altered your life in any other way?

When I mean my chest is blown out,This means that my chest expands like when an area is swollen.Occasionally due to heavy breathing my rib hurts.

Coming from generally a poor family background the pressure of succeeding in life and being able to support the family was and has been been an enormous pressure on me.

The experience of a being a model to my siblings is to set an example of being able to support my parents. As I have mentioned above, coming from a poor background has its burden I have always wanted to be the one to set an example unfortunately I haven't been able to do this and this has and still continuous to bother me deeply.

My description of blocked, squeezed and chocked is when u are holding on to something very tight and the very minimum amount of air is passing through.Thats exactly how I feel when I am unable to breath.

My description for heavy and full is that I feel like someone has placed 100kgs of weight on my chest or lungs so I am unable to breath easily.I can feel at times that even taking a breath is difficult. This however is quite clear that this is due to the fact that mucus is very thick and blocking up lungs.

My reference to making my feel older is that though Im 33yrs old I feel like im 53 yrs old.I feel weak, tired find it difficult to lift anything. My hands tremble a lot.I suffer from memory loss.I sometimes cant remember what I had to eat last night.

Its altered my life that I dont have a job and haven't had one for over 2 yrs now.when did last have a job my employers were fed up with my time off work with Asthma. So I was sacked from my last job.

Alright the remedy I would like to start you on is Cactus 0/1. Can you get hold of this remedy? You will also need a second empty bottle with a dropper, and some alcohol (like brandy or vodka) to mix the remedy with.

Dear Brisbanehomeopath,

Please forgive me for my lack of knowledge about the remedy that you have prescribed.

Is cactus 0/1 the same as cactus Grandiflorus?

is 0/1 the potency scale or potency?

Is this in liquid form?

I thank you for your patience and effort in helping with my illness.

I greatly appreciate this.

Cactus grandiflorus is the full name yes.

0/1 is the specific potency. It is also known as LM1. It is the 50 millesimal potency scale (LM potencies). This potency scale is well suited to those people who are on daily orthodox medication and cannot be taken off it.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Yes sure I can contact a company here and order this from them in the potency you have advised.

Would you like me to order any other remedies?

Thank you for everything,it really means a lot to me.

Nothing else for the moment - if the Cactus helps I will ask you to acquire 0/2 and 03. If it does not, then I will reassess at that point and represcribe.

Dear Brisbanehomeopath,

I have contacted a homeopath pharmacy here and requested
Cactus Grandiflorus LM1,however the pharmacy as requesting would I like the product in water or alcolhol!

Can you please confirm for me if you would like me to purchase this product in alcohol or water?

In alcohol. Get an extra empty bottle with a dropper which you will use to make your doses from, plus some alcohol like brandy or vodka (or similar spirit).

The bottle that you buy will be your stock bottle, you will not use it to directly take the medicine. Drops will be taken out of that and put into the second bottle, mixed with water and alcohol, to make a dosing bottle.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Sure I will contact them and request the remedy first thing in the morning with an extra bottle.

Is this remedy for my chronic asthma or my acute nasal condition?or both?

Alhambra last decade
I prescribe a medicine for the whole case. The quality of Cactus is contraction, shrinking, squeezed, compressed, as if a hand restricts the part. It is a well known remedy for respiratory illnesses of all sorts where there is a feeling of constriction, as if the part becomes smaller. The opposite can also be found, a sensation of expanding. Where in the body this happens isn't relevent, only that is appears as a characteristic.

Cactus belongs to the malarial miasm. The nature of this miasm is to produce a long term chronic feeling of being unable to change your disease, needing to accept it, interspaced by acute episodes that are very intense and painful. Asthma has a very typical malarial-type pattern.

The goal in homoeopathy is to find a single medicine that suits all the major complaints. That remedy, the simillimum, will cure across all levels.

Its very interesting to read what you have posted as I was completely unaware of Miasma theory.

In my years of taking Homeopathic remedies this was never brought to my attention.

Although I'm not nervous about taking the remedy which you have prescribed,im very curious to see how both my conditions react to this,.Its like a new beginning for me.

I can also confirm I have ordered the remedy today with the extra bottle.

As with all prescriptions, you can never know how the patient will respond until they start taking the remedy. It is important to continually feedback your reactions so that adjustments to treatment can be made.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Sure I understand that feedback to my reactions is very important.

I will keep you updated regulary.

I cant to begin the remedy as my condition is not too good.

Alhambra last decade
Why do you say that? Is there something going on with your health that is out of the ordinary for you?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
My chest and lungs are clogged up,I'm finding it very hard to control my asthma since yesterday as I am suffering from a cold.

Hence my reason for wanting to start your remedy immediately as I'm really fed up of this illness.

Alhambra last decade
Do you have access to someone who can give you remedies in an emergency? Say if you do get an infection?

Are the symptoms currently different in anyway to your normal ones?

It is possible for any patient to require an acute remedy which is different to their chronic one. Obviously in my own clinic I can respond to emergencies right away. It would be good if we can set up some kind of back up for you.

Also, please don't put yourself at risk. If you need to visit a doctor do so.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Unfortunately I dont have access to anyone to can give remedies in an emergency,my best option is if I order an remedy between Monday to Friday,in addition pay extra for next day guaranteed delivery.

As you are aware of my daily acute nasal condition and chronic asthma condition, however every 6weeks nasal conditions can develop into a cold/flu.

I have already contacted the out of hrs GP service for Allopathic treatment, the advice they gave me is to drink plenty of fluids for my cold/flu condition and to increase the puffs of the nasal spray and to increase my seretide disk for a few days to help control my asthma.

Its kind of strange but I usually know what the GP will say whenever I visit or call them,in many words I kind of expected to be told to increase seretide disk or in other cases given anti-biotic or prednisolone steroids.
