Hello Joe, my daughter started on NV 24 hrs ago as recommended by you don't know if it's a coincidence or it caused her to be a lil constipated last night and today...today she cried a lot like she was in pain so I gave her karo syrup Which it helped her.. she pooped after feel hours but right after she had the syrup she threw up a lot and when to sleep peaceful .... Every time she feels uncomfortable she cries for a while than throws up and go to sleep... She still burping and spitting up the clear liquid reflux, how long can she stay on Nux Vomica? she still on one full NP it works better for Her than half.

Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose is NOT the reason for her current distress. NV reinforces the action of the NP6x and helps to reduce the acidity in the stomach of both adults and babies as it accelerates the passage of food or milk down the digestive system.

If as you have already discovered, she fares better on a FULL tablet of NP, you can safely continue to give her this dosage after every feed.

I tend to be cautious in all my prescriptions even though I am certain that my Wet dose method of prescribing remedies is the Ultimate Cure of all ailments.

You may use NV 30c for another day and if it does not help, you can stop it.

Do you think NP will eventually cure her or she will have to take NP till she outgrow the reflux? I feed her every two to three hrs can I give half NP to her than next feed full NP pattern till complete 6 pallets in 24 hrs? Thank you for your responses. In my experience dating back to about 40 years of helping with my own version of Homeopathy which has been labelled “Joepathy”, I have observed that many babies are born with a digestive system which is not fully able to digest their mother’s breast milk. My first born son who is now 45 years of age also suffered from this same ailment where he would suckle at the breast and do a projectile vomit of the curdled milk often on my shoulder while I was carrying him after burping.

I was interested in this phenomenon and after some research with the few Homeopathic remedies I had in my stock at that time, I discovered that Nat Phos 6x was indeed the Ultimate remedy to treat Baby GERD. I gave it to my son and since that time, I did not hesitate to prescribe it for all babies who suffered from Baby GERD even though NP was not officially recognized in the classical texts for the treatment of this common ailment.

You are obviously not aware of the trauma that I suffered for the last 15 years as a result of deviating from the standard classical method of treating the “Symptoms presented by the patient' instead of treating the disease directly, which I did after faithfully following the classical textbooks in the treatment of disease which I further added to by purchasing Radar which is supposed to be the most extensive and expensive software available even today for the Homeopath on the computer. I did give it a fair chance and it was only when I discovered that it was designed to further the useof Homeopathic remedies based on various theoretical classical norms which did not work, that I decided to treat the disease head on, using the same therapy I had used in a similar case, like for instance treating Baby GERD with Nat Phos 6x, even though it is not listed for use in the classical Repertories. My feeling then and even today is that if any remedy cures a disease, it must cure a similar disease presented by the next patient.

My therapy caused some consternation in classical circles and I was criticized by many classical homeopaths even here on the ABC but I just refused to cow down to their demands to use Homeopathic remedies in the classical manner that they used, as I had sufficient evidence that they did not help the suffering patient, in this case a Baby suffering from GERD which you are now aware how it affected your Baby and you the parents.

I am glad to note that your Baby has responded to my “Joepathy” which incidentally is the term coined by the classical coterie of homeopaths who could see for themselves the CURES that resulted of the patient’s ailment with my therapy, but which they insisted was only a temporary cover-up of the ailment which would manifest itself in a more virulent form in later life. I am happy to state that this doomsday eventuality never occurred.

You may not be aware that I am 85 years of age and am NOT a professional Homeopath. I have been fascinated with this theory of Homeopathy and studied it in my own time since 1965 when I was cured of my frequent colds with a Homeopathic remedy by one of the first practitioners of Homeopathy in Sri Lanka. Answering your question. NP is absolutely safe in use, as I have often informed you, and you should soon discover that it will not be wanted anymore by baby when her own digestive system is able to digest her milk and later on the solids, which I prefer to give after baby is 10 months of age.

I would also advise you not to vaccinate baby till she is over a year old as the terrible after effects of doing so at this age can be read on a search on Google.

My 45 days old baby was diagnosed in his first month with acid reflux. His pediatrician prescribed nexium ( 2 dosisi every 24 hours.) and libertim (1ml every 8 hours). He wanted me to combine breastfeeding and formula, but i'm only feeding him with breast milk. My baby has not improved with the medications, and he doesn't sleep much. He scratches the bed, always fussy, and making sounds. He also has like a phlegm. Because of the acid, he wants to be eating all the time, at least it comforts

I received the usual email alert and although I am now 86 years of age, I do still try to help anyone who seeks my assistance with my "Joepathy". I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I have prescribed for hundreds of babies and which I hope will help your baby too.

The remedy is Nat Phos 6x which is a Biochemic Cell Salt and is NOT a drug. It is absolutely safe in use and you may like to look it up on Google.

You will give baby half a tablet dissolved in milk a few minutes before every feed and the balance half immediately after a feed but you will not exceed a total of 6 tablets (12 halves) in 24 hours.

You may like to try to reduce the quantity of milk you give for each feed to enable baby’s digestion to stabilize. You will however feed more often. It is essential that you burp baby immediately after every feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

It is best not to vaccinate Baby till s/he is over 2 years old as the after effects in some cases can add to the problems with GERD.
Do not give the MMR Vaccine in One shot as there is plenty of evidence on the Web of severe side effects which can result. You are advised to give it in 3 separate shots if you must do so, after baby is 2 years old.

Do not give Baby any solid food till s/he is over 8 months of age.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread.

If you discover that baby does not respond to the Nat Phos 6x alone and this has occurred in a few cases, you will contact me again and I shall then prescribe another remedy to reinforce the action of Nat Phos 6x.

You will stop all other drugs you may be giving baby if you start on my therapy.

I know you have retired from this forum but I am still hoping you somehow read this post of mine and respond to it with your great "Jeopathy" assistance. I have been reading all the replies and assistance you have offered in the past years to many babies with Reflux and I am hoping I get one too.
My baby is 4 month old and weighs 11 pounds. She is on nutramigen hypoallergenic formula. She was diagnosed with acid reflux when she was a month old. Her symptoms are uneasy feedings, multiple spits ups after every feed, lot of burping through out the day, very less feed, uneasy lying on back and always spits up when picked up and held upright for e.g after diaper change. She doesn’t consume more than 3 oz per feed as she gets uncomfortable within 2 oz intake. I am not sure if it's due to the air she gulps or due to reflux. When I burp her during feeds she does burp a lot and then when put the bottle back in she takes only 1 oz it sometimes just refuses. I feed her frequently since she consumes less and her spit ups continue the whole day. She tends to take in lot of air too.. sometimes sleeps with mouth open and shores lightly. Can hear her gulping something during sleep and then wakes up uncomfortable. Due to all this her appetite has significantly reduced and she is failing to thrive. I am highly concerned and don't know how to help her. Doctor prescribed Zantac in the past but it did not help. I breastfed her in the past but due to some microscopic traces of blood in her stool( doctor did the still rest) I was told to give her nutramugen formula.

I want to try nat phos 6x but want to consult you before starting on dosage, frequency and how long to take it. In your last post you have mentioned to give half of it before the feeding and rest half after feeding, and not to exceed 6 of them in 24 hours. Should I do it in the same way? For how many days should I try this? And would the dosage and frequency be same for all the days? And what to do if her symptoms aggravate? Should I then stop or continue?

My daughter is 3.5 months old suffering from GER/GERD.
The symptoms are as follows
Excessive lips smaacking
Gagging
Drop in appetite
While feeding she shakes up (spreading her hands and making a noise for 10 -15 sec. at times there are no noise and just spreading hands and shaking)
She also shakes up (sometimes with noise sometime without) in between meals spanning for 5-15 secs
Does not burp after meal except for once or twice in a day
She is not exactly constipated but her stool is quite thick in consistency

She is mostly on formula and 5% on breast milk
As per hers peds recommendation, she was on NEOSURE formula for weight gain (as she was under weight when born). But after we reported the problem, the doctor suggested thickened formula - ENFAMIL AR, thus reducing the spit-ups to almost nill

since no medication has been prescribed by her peds so we wanted to take the homeopathy route.
We have started administering NUX VOM 30 twice daily (3 pallets each time) and Sulphur 30 twice daily (3 pallets each time). Also we have given her COLOCYNTH 30 as SOS. This SOS gives temporary relief

But the problem continues to persist.
My daughter is going through lot of pain. Could you please suggest a proper medication for my daughter

These are not the issues to make you panicky. Very standard course of remedies exist. There are so many competent doctors on this forum. Seek their help,too.

Joe? Any chance you’re still out there checking these? My LO has really bad reflux. We switched his formula to HIPP COMBIOTIK and he was doing much better but recently again the reflux has come back. We are going to try probiotics but after reading your posts I’m going to try Nat Pho’s if I can find them but I’m new to this whole world and interested to hear your take on dosing. My son is 16 weeks and 15 pounds. He poops regularly but arches back when he’s eating and I don’t want to give him the meds the doctor recommended. He’s been waking up again much more often all night long. Help!

Boiron has it in pellet form. Take 1 pill and dissolve
It in 2 tablespoons of water- give that to the baby
With a spoon or dropper.

This is not Joe or Simone. 6x is what you need to get hold of Nat. phos. for reflux issues. This could be called tissue salt or biochemical salt and also cell salts. This is a sort of first aid kind of thing for reflux issues in infants.

I have another homeopathic idea. This arching back of the baby is so typical of a remedy Dioscorea. You could get this homeopathic medicine in 30c and try like giving a pill/drop as a dose or dissolve it in some water and give a few drops.
