Anxiety

I have had anxiety my whle life.
For the past 20 years I have taken antidepressants for anxiety which never really helped.
Four months ago, I decided to go off lexapro 20mg. My dr helped me to wean off of it.

For the past month, I have had severe anxiety, elevated pulse and blood pressure, and crying spells.
My family dr says it's untreated mood disorder and that I need to go back on antidepressant meds.

I found a homeopathic dr and he spent over 2 hours with me before choosing a remedy.

He prescribed mag c which I am taking.

I would like to know if this can take awhile to work, and if anyone has truly been helped by taking homeopathy for anxiety.

Thank You!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I treat many cases of anxiety disorder in clinic with great success. The name of your condition does not determine how curable you are. Anxiety is just a label, the real issue is how curable the patient is, which hopefully your homoeopath is addressing.

A well prescribed remedy should begin to show results within the first 2 weeks of treatment. There are a variety of signs however that we use to determine progress for a patient. With no case and no understanding of your situation, we could not give you any real guidance here.

Two hours is the correct amount of time for an initial homoeopathic consultation, and Mag-carb is a well known anxiety remedy. There is no reason to doubt your homoeopath at this stage.
