Anxiety - Please help me!
Hi,I recently made a post asking for help with tinnitus, but realise that it is actually part of a much bigger picture. I really need help, as I am stuck and can't move forward with my life.
I am a 39-yr-old female. I have been on and off antidepressants for 15 years. I have seen a classical homeopath in the past - the remedies she prescribed to no effect were: Sepia, Carsinosin, Conium, Calc Carb, Arsenicum Album.
I have filled in the homeopathy questionnaire as follows:
1. Main areas of suffering
Anxiety, constant nervousness/fear, fatigue, relationship problems - major anxiety when trying to form a romantic relationship - almost a phobia now. Still feelings of rejection and grief from old relationships. In relationships I am insecure, unconfident, fearful, critical, over-analytical and jealous. Mood swings. I am very lonely.
2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Aches and pains, mild sciatica left side, painful muscles left neck/shoulder, general physical tension, tinnitus (right ear), small haemorroid, digestive upset, lump in throat, PMT, chronic cough, constant knot in stomach.
4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Panic, fear, hopelessness, out of control, grief-stricken, crying, child-like.
9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Better in warm, dry, sunny weather. Hate being cold. I like thunder-storms.
10. Describe your general mental set up?
Emotional, sensitive, over-reactive, nervous, easily offended. But also warm, caring, open, compassionate, humorous. Can be a bit haughty.
11. Fears ?
Never having a partner or having a child. I fear never being free of anxiety, and that I will suffer for the rest of my life. Growing old alone.
12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
Cheese, wine, salty things, tea, seafood. Averse to roasted pepper/capsicum, sour food. When I am highly anxious I can't eat bread or meat, only fruits.
13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Less
14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Less/Poor
15. Is there any kind of food which your body cant stand?
No, I can eat most things. Red wine sometimes gives me palpitations. Wheat products make me bloat.
16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
Scanty sweat, even when exercising. I get hives from sweating/exertion on my trunk. I get drenching night sweats, mainly trunk and legs.
17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
Alternating between loose stools and compact stools - but neither extreme. I have a bowel movement every day.
18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
Get to sleep ok, but sleep restlessly, full of vivid dreams, waking with frights, wake early unrefreshed and immediate anxiety on consciousness. Sleep mainly on right side, one leg straight, the other knee pulled up.
19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
No.
20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
I feel different because I am so full of cares, think far too much and feel incapable of forming a lasting romantic relationship. I feel i am failing.
22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Thyroid issues, anxiety/depression. Mother had bladder tumor, in remission.
23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
Attractive, well groomed. 5ft5 tall, 8.5 stone, straight long light brown hair, light green eyes, freckles/fair skin, slim boyish figure.
Some other considerations: Glandular fever aged 17, then repeated tonsillitis until age 24 when I had tonsils removed. Have had several breast cysts and a benign tumour which I had surgically removed. My monthly period is still regular, relatively light and short in duration.
I am not diabetic. My blood pressure is normal - sometimes on the low side. I live in a cool climate and am very affected by the weather - a grey, cloudy rainy day can make me feel very depressed.
I work in a creative field but am feeling unfulfilled and stuck.
Any help with this would be very gratefully received - thank you.
Lucy

Hi Julie - yes I have tried the Bach flower remedies many times, and am currently taking Mimulus, Olive, Walnut, Holly, Gorse and Larch. They have never really helped me, and I have tried most of them.
Parakletos - thank you very much for responding and considering taking my case. I have have made an appointment to see a homeopath this evening after work, but would still be very interested in your thoughts.
I live in Edinburgh, Scotland UK.

Hard to say without more questions, but a tip is Pulsatilla. Maybe Ignatia.
Good luck with the homeopath, it is the best way to do it. Face to face. ;-)
By the way I live in Bergen, Norway. Interesting to know where people are coming from. :-)
