PLEASE help with insomnia, depression? memory loss
I am a 45 year old female. Have always been hypothyroid and have been on T3 for years, this now does the exact opposite of what it should , decreases my BP, makes it difficult for me to connect my thoughts, I gain weight when on it, have ice cold hands and feet minutes after taking it,have insomnia(which has always been a problem) and am feeling depressed & diconnected, my memory is getting worse and worse,at times I experience verbal dyslexia and just cannot connect the dots. I could just sit in a chair and stare straight ahead, feel somewhat numb mentally.am presently taking 2.5mg of lunesta to help with sleep. I can cry easily which I was never able to do, at times I don't want to be touched or near anyone. I feel much better in the morning and am taking part in a bootcamp I feel great after this workout. Feel worse at night and just want to go to bed and be alone.have a difficult time getting done what needs to be done around the house This is not who I was a year ago and am looking for help (no one in the western med relm has been able to help) with a homeopathic that might help. I have tried SJW sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't. Sorry for the long message, I am grateful for any insight.heidi467 on 2012-07-31

This is not who I was a year ago...
Could you please tell what happened in the last 1 year that made you so weak.
Some emotional turmoil you have been through i suppose if you don't mind can you describe it..

Good Morning Dr. Yogesh, and thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I can't put my finger on any one thing in particular. I believe that all of the symptoms have all been there for sometime but have all increased ten fold, especially the weight and insomnia. I am in schoolto become a nurse which is stressful but I enjoy it if only my memory recall were what it used to be it wouldn't half as stressful. I still have a year left with this.A few years ago I met someone we were very attracted to each other but are both in marital relationships so we both went our seperate ways, with nothing ever becoming of it. My son has just moved out to go to college which makes me happy and sad at the same time for him, but I really don't feel like this is a part of my issue. I just wished my personality were more even with him so that I could truly enjoy this time instead of always being quick to snap at him or my husband.I am blessed to be able to not work in the summer or while I'm going through school so presently I ma not very stressed but can barely get the few things done that need to get done, I think on eof the biggest things that make me feel not right is the constant weight gain and there is nothing I can do to bring it down with exersise or diet.I have decided to drop the lunesta for now so that I might be on a better track before I go back to school in late Sept.I have tried melatonin and other natural remedies over the years but none work. Dr. Yogesh, I very much appreciate your time and energy in replying to my post. Heidi

Can I say that it increased ten folds after this?

Dr.Yogesh, I don't know if this will help to answer your questions
I'm sorry but i'll have to understand your feeling about it what did you feel about it
It was at that time all encompassing, physically and mentally I felt very good during this time. even though it was not an actual physical affair, there were a few that thought it might be, so with that there is also an association of shame. We would come across each other occasionally in passing and speak a few words, which would leave me energetically shattered each and evey time
How did you cope with the situation.
I inwardly grieved the loss of a friend. While coming to terms with the fact that there is a time and place for everything, and this was neither the time nor the place for it. I love my family very much, and I guess what happened a year ago was to just put the whole thing behind me and focus my energies on those Im committed to and love.
Does this incident still go on in your thoughts?
Occasionally, but not as often as It used to.
I again thank you for your time and thoughtfulness

Good Morning Dr. Yogesh,
Thank you for your reply, I don't mean to be daft, but I cannot purchase Natrum mur 200c in drop /liquid form, it seems to be sold only up to 30c. Do you suggest I go with the pellet form or liquid in this case.
Thank you.

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
It has not been 8 days since I started the Nat Mur (it took some time for me to order and receive 200c potency )I am on day 3 of the remedy and I will say that i have a increase in stamina from the first day, I am no longer staring at the wall but can get things done with motivation, although I am still quick to snap at those closest to me.
My question is my insomnia is awful, I am getting 3-5 hours a night, this is not new since the nat mur, I am functional but it is wearing on me.I tried coffea cruda, which did nothing. I have also been off of T3 for six weeks now as it was having a paradoxical effect on me on all system levels. The insomnia was the same while I was on the T3. I think that maybe the insomnia is what might be effecting my memory recall.
I hope you are well and thank you for your time and insight.

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
It's been ten days since I first started the Nat Mur, all was great(mood, energy, stamina, libido, was able to drop a bit of weight without effort, and I seemed to to have lifted an emotional block) for about the first week but there has been a steady decline in the last few days feeling very tired and difficult to focus, still not sleeping well, and hard to bring myself to do things. I took a rigorous hot yoga class yesterday and was almost nonfunctional for the rest of the day. When I study I have great trouble retaining what it is that I'm studying for my clinical rotations which start in a week.
As always I am grateful for your time.
best,
Heidi

Dr. Yogesh,
I wanted to put this in a better perspective than I did earlier today. As I was comparing how I have felt over the last days in comparison to pre nat mur, I would say I have had about a 50% decline in effectiveness, but still feel better than I did before taking the nat mur.

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
I completed another 3 doses of Nat Mur, probably about a week ago. I am feeling better but what still remains is the insomnia, I find it difficult to fall asleep and then am wide awake around 4am, I at times will take a sleep med out of desperation which puts me to sleep but I am also awake at 4isch, it gives me an extra 2 hours of sleep but in a very unnatural form making me slightly drowsy.I tried some melatonin the other night and was completely wired all night.
I believe that this might be causing some of my memory retention problems. I tried one singular dose of the T3 thyroid meds last week, and my hands and feet were instantly cold, and turned a slight purplrisch color, with slight swelling around my ankels. making it finally clear to me that this drug is no longer for me.Not being on the thyroid meds keeps my antibody levels low from the Hashimoto's which is the opposite of what it should be doing but thats how it seems to work in my body.
Hope you are well and thank you for your time

Hi Dr Yogesh,
You're right I do get frustrated when I don't sleep when I have numerous nights back to back that I do not get more than 4 hours of solid sleep, I am on automatic drive, I can't think straight and my memory recall goes right down the tubes along with any energy I might have. Being a nursing student in a hospital with patients under my care makes this for a shaky situation on my part, so I usually go for days and then when it gets extreem I will take a sleep aide which will put me out into a false sleep but adeep one for a bit which helps somewhat
