Eczema Help For Toddler
I would like some much needed help with my just turned 3 year old. She has red patchy, itchy eczema in the folds of her elbows and white patches behind her knees. As a baby she would itch her stomach and body during her sleep. She continues to itch during sleep, but not to the point of bleeding. She kicks her covers off at night. She does seem to be hot. She has had constipation for the past 9 mnths after a long car trip. I have recently started her with NAET treatments, about 1 month ago, but added Sulphur 1 1/2 week ago. Since adding sulphur she has had many temper tantrums and night time terrors as well. She has had these in the past but very few over the period of 3 yrs, but her constipation is so much better! She has always had eczema. I noticed that removing wheat and dairy have helped some too. She is a very determined child, wants her way or gets very upset ..uncontrollable. Some nights she wakes me up around 2am and its till about 5am before she is sound asleep again. Most of the time I have to get her up and walk her outside..she will not let me sit down with her. She has 3 older sisters who end up giving into most of the time. When she is happy she is the most happy child I have and very polite. My husband of nearly 18yrs passed away when she was 18mnths, but I feel like this started very soon after her birth. I would appreciate any recommendations you have. Thank you.md7572 on 2012-08-29

Skin issues like eczema are a separation anxiety. Maybe you had a quick birth or a c section or did she get taken away soon after birth or stopping breast feeding early can all be triggers, the wheat, dairy and other things just aggravate it.

Hi Pixie Wood...well she had a long labor..she was a vbac baby with total success..she was in my birthing room the entire time. She is still breast feeding, which I usually bf till around 4. Right in the beginning..say 1st month she was screaming at night. I did not think to eliminate dairy at the time so went on giving to myself until just recently. I have only stopped them in the past month. Some days are good and some not. Can't think of anything else. Any ideas?

My sin was very allergic to breast milk even when I stopped dairy he had to go on a milk called neocate but I do not know how easy it is for you to get and it's very expensive . Did she 100% have this before you lost your husband? Maybe she is picking up in your seperation anxiety. How about you get treated too?
I think it's very important you get treated yourself
Please don't be offended by this, but your bound to be going through a tough time what with new baby, losing husband, and worrying about your daughter.
Good luck

Thanks Pixie Wood. I am truly not offended by what you've said. I know what you mean and I plan to be treated too. I also have 3 older daughters, but my youngest was very different from early on. Eczema also from the beginning. I'm sure it was something in the BM that she had an allergy too. We are still working through the NAET treatment and she seems better. I just want something to help her! Thanks so much!
