hypothyroid

Hello,
A blood test has shown that I have a hypothyroid condition and the GP has prescribed Levothyroxine sodium, 50mg. I would like to try a homeopathic remedy instead.

I didn't know that I was 'ill' and my symptoms are not severe. The main problems are depression, worry, anxiety, sensitivity to cold, irritated eyes on waking in the morning, a headache that comes and goes at the top right of my head, lethargy sometimes.

Foods that seem best are salads, vegetables, soup; I sometimes crave carbohydrates

I take tuberculium from time to time for lung problems but am not taking it at the moment. Have had pneumonia twice, the last time about five years ago. Had a goitre in my early teens (am now 53).

Would greatly appreciate advice on the right remedy.

Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take a single dose of Calc Carb 200 and see how that affects in a month.

Only one dose, not daily.

Thank you Kadwa the fearless!

I will order it and let you know the result.

Hello there!
I previously posted on 22.12.12 and Kadwa recommended I take a single dose of calc carb 200.

I have only now had a blood test and the results show the same problem. I have also started eating seaweed to ensure a good iodine intake.

Is there anything else you could recommend please?

Thank you very much for your kind help!

How are these problems now??? main problems are depression, worry, anxiety, sensitivity to cold, irritated eyes on waking in the morning, a headache that comes and goes at the top right of my head, lethargy sometimes

The headaches have gone, the eye irritation less, still have some depression, worry and lethargy but these may be caused by my current difficult situation that I can't find a way out of. Still have sensitivity to cold.

The GP has prescribed Levothyroxine sodium, 50mg again but I still haven't taken it. He said that the problem will only get worse and cause other health problems. I feel that if my life situation changes that would have a positive affesct on my whole being. I am making efforts to do this.

Have to go for another blood test in three months.

I appreciate your help and advice very much. Thank you Kadwa!

Please take another dose of Calcarea Carb 200 and see how that affects in the days to come (may be one month).

Thank you Kadwa!I will do that.
My symptoms are not severe but the GP tells me that the condition will worsen, if untreated. I may not be sure of the effect of the calc carb 200 until the next blood test in three months. As mentioned, the depression and worry may also be due to my current circumstances.

Hi Helen,

see if you can get yourself a shiatsu massage- second
choice acupressure. These are medical massages,
you wear your clothes, they work on the spine/immune
system.

See the Mayo clinic site on these. They are noted on that
site to be very good for depression. If you have low
energy a person will feel depressed very quickly. These
really unblock stuck energy and get everything running
right- they can also tell you where the energy is blocked-
and the effects last a long time and build up, so each
time there is less problem.

If you cannot find real shiatsu, call up acupuncturists
and find who is good at acupressure. This will be
a good break for you to feel well and relaxed.

Further to Simone and Kadwa's advice, I'd like to reply.

First, to Simone, unfortunately, I don't have access to either shiatsu massage or acupressure, due to a lack of money and geographical isolation, otherwise, I'd give it a try as I know that such treatments can be highly effective.

Second, to Kadwa,I took the calc carb 200 on 10th March but I'm not sure whether I'm any better or not.

I feel that the problem may be caused by depression, which is a result of my present circumstances. Perhaps when I have a chance to change these circumstances, the depression, and consequently, the underactive thyroid may be relieved.

Meanwhile, I'm eating seaweed about once a week as I thought that the iodine might help.

My next blood test will be in nearly three months, and if my GP sees that the thyroxin level is still low, he'll know that I haven't been taking the prescribed Levothyroxine sodium, 50mg, and the local health centre may refuse to see me again. It is useful for diagnosis/accidents.

Sorry to make things complicated but I wanted to explain more fully and feel unsure of the best course of action.

This is the thyroid point. Press it with your thumb for 5 minutes in the morning and evening before meals.

Thank you Kadwa! I'll try that.

The raised palm adjoining thumb should also be pressed similarly.

Thank you again, Kadwa, I'll do as you say, and report back soon!

Dear Kadwa,
I do believe that pressing the thyroid point gives me a feeling of being energized! Will continue this twice daily, as recommended.
Thank you, once again, for your very kind help!
