constipation persistent

What remedies would you consider for someone (a 5 yo girl) who doesn't respond to what are typical "helpers" for constipation. That is, things might help for a few days, like fiber, or magnesium, or acupressure/acupuncture, or even homeopathy, but then her system goes back to being very constipated. Stools seem to build up in her and she has no urge until it is very large (days-week will pass before she feels like bearing down) and when she does, she is afraid to go and seems to need a glycerin laxative to go. Whether it is for the moisture or for getting a strong sensation to push, I don't know. She's too young to describe what she's feeling so I am having trouble picking a remedy. I just find it odd that things that seem to help for a few days go back to being worse. If I do a glycerin suppository to keep her going more frequently, stools tend to be like sheep pellets, sometimes black, sometimes brown, sometimes light brown, some sink, some float but they are usually pellety. Sometimes after passing pellets from the glycerin, she'll have an urge and pass a more normal looking softer stool or sometimes it is loose/pasty looking. Any suggestions for remedies to try/potencies? Thanks in advance for your help. This has been a problem for many years now, ever since infancy... I've been trying but nothing has worked and then continued to work for her. It's like her system readjusts and then what "worked" never seems to help her again.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What is her diet like?

Nat Phos 6x (Biochemic) will help her.

Dose 1 tablet taken after breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Report response in a week.

In the past, I have given her bioplasma which has a nat phos 3x in it, and there were no changes. I could try it again I suppose. Her diet is "ok" -- probably could use more green veggies, but this problem started in infancy. She was vaxed at birth with hepB and received immune globulin, too. Her first stool was OK but her second stool and subsequent stools had a terrible rancid odor to them. Very different than her brother, who was also breastfed like she was. His stools never smelled like that. She would only stool one time a week, too, not several times a day like I expected. THis continued up until around her 7 or 8 month shots and she received many in one day. Then her bowels seemed to stop working and her stool was building up in her rectum and no desire to pass it until it was very large, too large to pass. After that, I began to keep her regular using glycerin suppositories but periodically would find something that would cure it. But again, it would only last a few days, or at best about a week or so, and then she would seem slightly ill (warm to the touch, tired, not want to do anything) and then what worked for her never would work again. Once, pulsatilla 6x worked for her--she had a dose at about 10 a.m. and about 2 p.m. she had an urge and passed a normal looking stool...but it never worked again, and other doses of pulsatilla do not work.
Should I try the Nat Phos at the 6x by itself or do you think that if it was the right one, that it would have worked in the bioplasma at the 3x potency?

I am copying an email I received yesterday which deals with a similar case

Dear Joe:

I too am amazed by the results I've seen with this wonderful Cell Salt (Nat phos 6x).

It works marvelously for constipation. for adults and toddlers. A 6 month old who was only having a stool once every 5 days is now daily. Also for those of you who remember the ASD twins (sophie and grace) they were having horrible green slimy offensive stools each day (not constipated) and nat phos 6x daily has cleared this up (they are still doing well on their original remedy and have not changed from a 6c yet - this is since april!). It can also be indicated for vaginal discharge/leukorreaha brought on shortly after eating offending foods (e.g. sugars, sweets, grains, etc). I've also used it for my kitty when she was a kitten and got a nasty green pusy eye infection and it worked great.

I have not tried it as a weight reduction method but can see how if the body get what it needs efficiently that it could help and your empirical evidence certainly suggests it...but I'd venture to guess that it wouldn't work for everyone as there are so many different reasons why someone puts on weight.

Thanks for sharing Joe

Best wishes, Judy

OK well then I shall certainly give it a try! I'll post back in a few weeks and let you know how it turned out. Thanks!
