3 yrs 2 mnth old having severe ear infection with fever

A month ago, my kid got throat and ear infection. He was given antibiotic, amoxicyclin 3 x 3 ml for 10 days. His cough was almost reduced but was not gone completely.

He is having tendency to catch cold and cough easily, frequently and quickly.

6th to 10th May 2013 Condition: We observed his stools are irregular, passes stools on alternate days. Stools greasy, smelly, like a thick paste and mud / dark brown colour. Reduced hunger. Gets exhausted very easily. Suddenly nose became runny, clear & watery discharges. Clear nasal discharges initially and then became translucent. We started giving him children's coldcalm by boiron. But there was no improvement.

10th May 2013 Got fever 100.7 F. He was not feeling cold inspite of fever. We gave him paracetamol (acetaminophen) and then there was no fever for 7 hrs. In the evening again he got fever 100.5 F, again did not feel cold. We again gave him paracetamol. Next day 11th & 12th May 2013 he did not get fever again. 13th May 2013 morning he drank a bottle of milk around 150 ml. His body was warm but there was no fever in the morning. Afternoon he vomited (yellow colour) and he had fever 100.1 F. He was feeling cold this time. Had to wrap blanket around him. He did not eat anything till evening 5.00 pm. In the evening he vomited again, colour was yellowish with red particles. Nose runny during the day and stuffy at night. He is developing cough very rapidly.

Doctor said he has severe left ear infection and mild right ear infection. He has prescribed him antibiotic, Cefdinir 4 ml /day for 10 days. For vomitting he has prescribed Ondansetron ODT 4 mg, half tab twice in a day.

My kid has become very weak. Please suggest medicine so that his infection gets cured quickly, probably without giving him antibiotic.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
PL give him
1. Merc Sol-30 (30c) 6 pills three times a day
2. Kali Mur-12x 3 pallets three times a day

Pl keep 30-40 minutes gap between 1 and 2
Pl give these medicines for one week and then give feedback

Hi,
you have two posts on this. You also
got advice from Deoshlok. Just so you
know, you have to follow one advice
and do not do both prescriptions.

That's ok for now. In future, if 2 posts show up , just click on
one of them and use the edit button on lower right- the pop
up window will show up and you can delete the copy and most
of the headline.

You can also use- most recent threads on forum upper left
to decide what threads to respond to.
