Acid Reflux in my 10 week old

Hi,
My daughter is 10weeks and has acid reflux. The doctors gave her Zantac but she did not like it. I would like to find something more natural. She is a snacks to eat. I am not breast feeding. After 4 formulas we found something that she can keep down. I would like to find a homeopathic med that will help with the reflux so she can sleep on her back. I did read something online that nat pros 6 works. Can someone guide me what and how much to give my infant?

Thanks
Rita

----------------------------
GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic indicidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like

8. ONLY FOR FEMALES)

Please answer the following questions:
(Please give details of your past menstruation if you have attained menopause.)
- Are the periods early, regular or late in general? How long do they last?
- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?
- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?
- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?
- Do you notice any clots in the flow?

About two weeks after our daugther was born, she had a hard time taking the entire bottle. She would leak all over her bib, and in addition she would leak from the sides. If you feed her too much she would puke it back up. At our month appointment, the dr said she has reflux and to add rice to her bottle. After addition the rice and using it for two weeks, she was in a lot of discomfort...gassy, and always fussy when she was awake. We decided to switch formula and take away the rice and she is doing a lot better. However, she will only drink 2 to 3 oz every 3hrs it is hard for her to handle a lot because she will spit most of it up. At our 2mth appointment the dr prescribed Zantac, and she will not take it. If you give it to her in her bottle she will puke up the entire bottle. I do not want to give her the zantac, would like something more natural. At this point, she has to sleep in a swing because she can stay to long on her back. She gets unconformable on her back due to the re flux. It seems like the evening time when she is awake the most she is more irritable. She sleeps 6 hrs thru the night, but in the morning when she wakes up she is starving and will suck the 1st oz of formula pretty fast. Then right afterwards she will spit it up. She is eating to fast and bothered by the re flux. Please help. I have read a lot about Nat. Pros. 6x for infants. What do you suggest, how much, and what type of dosage?

Thanks.

Is she sensitive to cold water bathing?

Is she sensitive to touch?

Is she irritable?

Does she have any kind of allergies?

Any skin problem

Does spitting happen with milk only?

Any colic, gas formation now?

Does she like to be carried all the time?

Please describe the nature/personality of the infant?

Zady101 last decade
1) No I do not believe she is sensitive to cold water bathing.
2) No she is not sensitive to the touch
3) No allergies that i am aware of.
4) No skin problems. She does have a little bit of pimples on her left side. This is from milk that leaks on her bib and irritates the skin. Very common in babies.
5) She only has milk. But at times she spits up more of a water substance. From what I read this is due to the re flux. She does drool at times (watery) and she is to young to teeth, this is from the reflux.
6) She is colic in the evenings.
7) Yes likes to be carried with head on your shoulder. She is now taking naps on her back in the pack n play. Also she does like to lay on her back and kick.
8)She smiles like crazy, pretty happy, and only upset when the her stomach does feel good do to gas or reflux. She poops everyday.

Please give your child Natrum Phos 6X twice a day for 3 days and update me.

Zady101 last decade
zady, do you want the nat phos given,
right after feeding?

simone717 last decade
Hi Simone,

No.

Dose - 1 pellet

Once in the morning and once in the evening in 1 teaspoon water. I would prefer Natrum Phos 6C over 6X because of stronger therapeutic action but 6X is readily available so it's ok.

Zady101 last decade
Is natrum phos the same as Nat. Phos just want to make sure.

Dudr444 last decade
Sorry one other thing. How long does she take it for?

Dudr444 last decade
yes - it is the same thing.
Zady said above to do this for 3 days
and report back on the 4th day.
