pcos help

Hi,

I've had PCOS since I was in my teens and I popped a cyst when I was 18 (now 26) and for the past 8 years I have been on birth control. I've tried getting off of it but when I do I get no periods and terrible acne and oily skin that I pretty much have to go back on it. I am finally getting off of birth control pills as I want to take the homeopathic approach.

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experience and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? State the correct location.
PCOS, irregular periods, acne (if not on birth control)

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Apart from PCOS, irregular or no periods, and acne, I have digestive issues- consitpation, inflamed sinuses, extremely bad circulation- my feet are always frozen and hands are always cold.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.
Frustrated, cranky, want to be left alone.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
A cyst burst in my ovary when I was 18 and x rays etc were done to prove that I had a cyst burst.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

7. What are the things that aggravate your suffering and those that ameliorate the same? Example: time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc.
I hate being in cold temperatures, dairy seems to make my sinuses worse. I am a vegetarian.

8. Do you think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
Nope, I've lived in the same area my whole life.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
I feel great during warm weather, not humid though.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I am moody, get anxiety easily, and easily irritated.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
I love thunderstorms, I feel very comforted by them.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes, especially knowing that someone cares for me.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
bright lights make my eyes hurt.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
Weeping, talking to one self etc?
I seem to cry easily.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
a bit disturbed with a dysfunctional family, i've had lots of anger issues and tend to yell and get angry very often even if I dont want to.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
yes

20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others?
I don't think in a straight line as many people do.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You case is chronic and will take time to be treated. Pl. have patience, manage your stress, try to spend time with your friends. Take low calorie diet.

take 'Thuja occidentalis 30' 5 drops in 30ml luke warm water 4 doses in a day only for a day, then quit the remedy and wait for 15 days.

After 15 days take 'pulstallia 200c' 3 tabs in one day. If liquid then take 10 drops in 30ml luke warm water. Just take 1 dose only then quit the remedy wait for 15 days more and chk your periods.

Stop birth control pills from now on.

do not take any remedy meanwhile.

Hi Dr Rahat,

I have stopped my birth control pills on November 20th, had my period, once it stopped I started taking thuja. Then on Nov 30th I was paranoid due to a scare and decided to take Plan B.On Dec 4th I took Pulsatilla and my period started on Dec 6th. After my period is finished what do you suggest I take? I am pretty sure Plan B has messed my body up a bit but after these periods are over should I continue with the same formula of thuja and then pulsatilla?

thanks!

Since when do you have digestive issues and inflamed sinuses?

Zady101 last decade
Hi Dr Rahat,

I've had sinus problems for the past 5 years and constipation/digestive issues for around 7 years. I've been going to acupuncture for the past year, once a week sessions, and my sinuses have improved a lot but I still have constipation issues at times-for example during times of high stress I get severely constipated for days or weeks.

Some of my other issues are too much heat in my body that causes burning after urination and burning lips, very dry skin and very bad circulation- hands and feet are almost always very cold.

Please let me know what I should take.
thanks

Thank you Dr Rahat.
I was only able to get 12C pellets, what does that convert to for taking 30C?

Thank you Dr Rahat.
I was only able to get 12C pellets, what does that convert to for taking 30C, does that mean I have to take 2.5 times more the dosage you have mentioned?

Hi Dr Rahat,

I finished taking calcerea carbonica today and I've noticed minor improvement with my cold hands and feet, also I've been drawn to eating more dairy as well as my appetite has decreased (which is a good thing!).

Out of curiosity I was looking up what this homeopathic medicine is for- I was actually surprised that apart from my pcos and irregular/no period issue, I had many of the symptoms listed such as untoned muscle (no matter how much I work out at the gym) and my craving for dairy foods.

What do you recommend I take now?

thanks!

have eggs/almond/walnuts/grapes/apple/Beans/lentils/papaya/brown rice/brown bread/milk

coffee strictly prohibited, you may take tea only half cup in the morning and evening if required, also avoid high glycemic index such as starchy foods: pancakes, syrups, sugar, white potatoes, jams, scones, white bread products, pasta.

Pl. continue with calcerea carbonica 3 days more then stop it and wait for 24 hrs.

After 24 hrs take 'Apis mel 30' 4 drops in 30ml luke warm water at bed time only till 10 days.

Report after 10 days.

Hi Dr Rahat,

I have been taking this and in 2 days it will be my 10th day. Some of the changes I noticed with Apis Mel (not sure if it was because of it or some other reasons) are:
1. fatigue and weakness
2. zits on my face on my chin and forehead
3. many dreams of changing homes or someone else taking control
4. feeling easily distracted
5. feeling bloated and feeling some fullness in the bladder area

Also in my cycle my last period started on Dec 5th yesterday on the 23rd I noticed some discharge like egg white and stringy (maybe ovulation?)

What do you suggest I take next?

thanks!

Hi Dr Rahat,

It's been 9 days so I thought I would report back. I haven't noticed much changes except my skin has been very itchy, frequent urination, feeling water retention in my thighs area and face, and a little bit of lower back stiffness/minor pain.

What do you suggest I take now?

thank you!

Hi Dr Rahat,

In addition to the troubles I mentioned in my previous post I am also having pimples in mostly my chin area but also my cheek and forehead area.

Thanks

pcos0508 last decade
Hi Dr. Rahat,

I am really getting worried about the pimples, within the past 3 days I have had 6-7 pimples on my face. I am thinking maybe it is because I am near my period, should I take anything to start my period?

thanks

Lycopodium 6C

Dissolve 2 pills in 3 tablespoons water, stir a few times and drink. Do this once everyday for 3 days and update on how you feel.

Zady101 last decade
Hi,

I have taken lycopdium 6C for 2 days now and I sitll have not had my period start...do you suggest I take pulsatilla 200C?
Please advise,
thank you!

pcos0508 last decade
Take for 5 days more and tell me how you feel. Don't worry about periods, they will come.

Zady101 last decade
Okay then I will continue with lycopodium. I've been feeling very fatigued and drowsy throughout the day, is this normal?

pcos0508 last decade
I forgot to mention but I'm also taking antibiotics for a week, cephalexin for the many mosquito bites I got all over my body when I went on vacation. Maybe this is causing the drowsiness and fatigue?

Thanks!

pcos0508 last decade
Fatigued and drowsy - Since how long?

Who advised antibiotics for mosquitos? Did it make any difference?

Zady101 last decade
I was prescribed the antibiotics for a week by my doctor because he thought I had some sort of bacterial infection given the amount of mosquito bites I had and I started taking them yesterday and the lycopodium I started two days back.
