Please help me! itchy scrotum all of the time Page 3 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Here’s what helped me:
By prescription, Clotrimazole (1%) and Betamethasone Dipropionate (.05%). This is a cream which you apply to the scrotum twice a day for two weeks. For me, it didn’t kick in for several days, during which I got some relief from Gold Bond Anti-Itch Lotion (although that stung at times.)

Other tips:
Use a blow dryer to dry thoroughly after showers or baths.
Use a commercial lubricant rather than saliva for sex/masturbation.

thank you guys for the replies... Diprogenta ointment is still the best for me for my scrotum. And taking ITERAX.. FOR Lichen simplex chronicus commonly known as NEURODERMATITIS, Diprosalyc ointment is my best choice as cure for that. Only that all my best choice are not available here in Saudi Arabia. I bought my medicines way back when I'm in the Philippines... Anyway, i will somewhat try to use those medicines you've already tried. Thanks!

I have had itchy testacles scrotum for 30 years what seems like forever and I might have found the remedy and it is not something one would normally use on that area i think. It is Betamethasone Dipropionate ointment USP .05% whatever that means. Apparently it has steroids in it but as using it about a week so far I have to say I am seeing results and nothing recommended by dermatologist ever worked and I new this steroid thing might work because someone gave to me some that was using something like it a long time ago, for use on there hands which had dry itchy problem. And I remember it helping. So asked a general practioner about it I tried and so far so good. Biggest itching is at night and some inthe morning and pieriodically thru the day. Nights are the worst starting about 8-9-10 in evening. Like little attacks. I did not use any ointment last night and so faR SO GOOD.

I had this problem for probably 28 years and I believe I have found a cure. With me I believe there are a couple of things going on. When I was a teenager I was given an endless prescription of tetra-cycline for my acne. It caused my natural occurring bacteria to go out whack and caused innumerable problems. I also have some food sensitivities. As for mitigation I have done the vinegar, I have used only certain types of soap on my body. I have used baby oil and I have used vasaline, baby powder, and athletes foot cream. One very satisfying approach is the hot water on the scrotum in the morning and then put on some aquaphor, that will usually get you through the day. But what I really wanted was to have regular skin that I didn't have to grease up and use special preparation. So in the past year my problem has probably decreased about 90% and I nolonger have itchy, cracked skin. I can't narrow it down to a specific thing because my improvement was gradual but I will tell you what I have done. 1. Started with a homeopathic remedy( I go to a homeopath) of Medorrhinum. Probably when I was a kid I caught something from some women and it cleared up half way due to the anti-biotics I had an endless supply. I can tell when I have antidoted as within my skin I feel itchy, in my calf muscle forinstance. I use the liquid form which works pretty well for me. So i take another does and it starts working again. 2. I had a low level case of athletes foot. It was not even itchy but it was on the side of my heal and elsewhere on my foot so i treated my feet with lotrimin to eliminate that problem, and finally I am now very careful about eating wheat. I used to see a direct relationship between drinking a soda and my itchy nutts. But after I discovered that I have a wheat sensitivty and reduced it from my diet then things got much better. I have a hiatal hernia/acid reflux which wakes me up at night and not eating any wheat products say after lunch stops that problem. And since it directly effects my digestive track then the moistness is reduced also. Might take a month or so to tell the difference because if you have this problem it takes a while for your small intestine to heal. I typically do not use any creams or special measures on my nuts now as they are basically itch free. Hope you guys get some relief from your itchy problem.

I have had the same exact problem for the past 3 years, i tried everything, ice , gold bond product, anti-fungal creams, i tried stopping sugar, lowering my salt, hot shower cold shower , hot water, not scratching, EVERYTHING, until i ran upon Benadryl cream ( for itch relief) ---ingredients: diphenhydramine hydrochloride. (30 g tube)

it is meant for allergies and insect bites and light sunburns.

I still CANNOT believe the change and almost want to cry but its been a month and the itch is completely gone, and after so much turmoil i finally can live my live free of any itching, after 3 long years of crying myself to sleep because it would ruin my life and would keep me from being concentrated at school...

Anyways, please people, just try it, it is like 10 bucks, and you can buy it at any pharmacy.

I need to post reply even tho original post was years ago. I was itchy too. Tried many, many things. Even scripts. Temp relief if anything. Found a small bottle of johnson's baby oil GEL with aloe and E in bathroom closet. Best thing I tried in all the years of itchiness!

I tried the scalding hot water and then moisturizing method devised by ballz227 and it seems to have worked. I have only been doing it for a day but the itch is basically completely gone. What I am doing is this:

Use shower nozzle with water turned up as hot as possible.
Switch to cold for a minute
Towel dry and add moisturizer.

I was pretty sure it was just dry skin as my body tends that way and I take 2 long baths everyday, which only aggravates the problem.

I hope this solution helps. The spray relieves the need to scratch and the moisturizer brings back the elasticity the skin needs.

P.s. I used gold bond instead of aveeno.

OK Guy's I had this condition for 12 years and tried everything from doctors. It's an easy simple fix.

Here it is, when you have a shower put some honey all over the scrotum and leave for 3 to 5 minutes then wash of without using soap. Repeat this process every time you shower. After 5 days you will notice the itch and dry inflamed skin is getting better and better. It may take up to 1 week or 1 month in total to be free of this condition. I am serious and not kidding it's that simple.
