She took a dose Wednesday afternoon and there hasn't been any noticeable changes good or bad. She has not been sleeping well either and is lethargic as well. Overall mood is the same as last week

She woke up Sunday morning feeling very refreshed and she stated she didn't know why but was very happy. She was energetic and 'bright' all day. Since then however she has 'toned down' and is not 100%. She is better than last week but has the 'eh' attitude and nowhere near how she was Sunday. She forgot to take it Sunday night so she took it last night instead. Still no real change since yesterday and not to where she was Sunday or last year in the beginning
superdave972 9 years ago
There has been slight improvement. She said this morning she felt good. She has still been unable to sleep well and her energy level still does not seem back to normal again.

Hi Dave,
Wait till it seems like things are stalled and
then give another dose. Let me know when that
happens.

Things have gone backwards quite a bit now. She described being always mad at herself for not feeling 'good enough'. She has had loss of mental and physical energy/willpower. She cannot sleep well and tosses all night (normally sleeps on right side or stomach). She craves sweets/sodas and junk foods. Wants to stay in be all day and do nothing. She says she does not fell quite as bad as prior to starting Sepia but on the way there. We have not dosed yet as we are curious as to what the best time of day would be. Normally 30 min before/after eating anything. No mint or strong odored foods or any other sprays, perfumes, etc. No other remedies and no coffee. She normally takes it before bed.

Hi Dave,
Lets go up to 200c now and see what happens.
Before, when taken she was having the coffee as I remember
and it did not work.
Have her take a 200c, 3 pills dissolved in a couple tablespoons of water. Have her take one tsp of that
after dinner, and hold in her mouth for 20 seconds before
swallowing.
Let me know a few days after the dose what is going on.
Best,
Simone

The morning after the dose, she described being 'neutral', neither a good or bad mood. However a few hours later she sent me a text from work saying she felt really good 'all of a sudden;' and didn't know why. She has slept very well the last couple nights and mental/physical energy seems higher and mood is 'brighter'. Noticed a small breakout on her chin this morning.

Hi Dave,
On the 200c higher potency, one dose can be acting
for 2 weeks at least. Note changes and report again
around the 20th. No more doses for now.
Best,
Simone

The only noticeable change was the 3 days after the last dose, she slept better and energy seemed higher. She is a little more talkative however around the 5th day no sexual intimacy whatsoever and hasn't been sleeping well again.

Hi Dave,
I would like you to make the dose a different way.
You can get a dropper bottle-Usually they are small, about
3 inches in height.
f you have obtained pillules or pellets, you will need a small bottle and a dropper to make your own liquid dose. Mix water and alcohol into this small bottle to the ratio of 5:1. Dissolve 3 pillules/pellets into this bottle. All doses will be made from this bottle.
If you already have a liquid dose just start from step 1.
1. Hit the bottle 5 times firmly against the palm of the hand
2. Place 3 drops into 100mls of clean fresh water
3. Stir very thoroughly
4. Take 2 teaspoons out into the mouth and hold for 20 seconds, then swallow.
Try a dose this way and keep the dropper bottle to use for
more dosing. Let me know the reactions, 3 days after you
try this.
And, when was the last time she had a physical check up,
had a CBC ( complete blood count) done? And does she have
any digestion issues at all?
Thanks,
Simone

I will shop around for a dropper bottle today as I do not have one. The alcohol you mention I am assuming is rubbing alcohol? Unsure what type to use.
And I am not sure about her last blood panel but I believe it was about a year ago because she had a panel done before starting sepia and had no issues with any of her counts besides a slight vitamin D deficiency. As far as I know she does not have any digestion issues or has not mentioned any.

Hi Dave,
Never ingest rubbing alcohol- it is poison. Just get
a little bottle of vodka, rum or brandy to use.
Vitamin D deficiency can be a big deal- what is
she doing to correct that? They tell people to
get sun on the body for about 20 minutes a day-
and I know you are in Florida so that would not
be a problem, unless she is covered up all the time.
Thanks.

She has been taking a multi-vitamin daily (Optimum Nutrition Opti-Women specifically) which covers most all her basic vitamins and minerals. The vitamin D amount (as cholecalciferol) is 600IU (150%) according to the label. She spends most of her time indoors either working or doing homework. And we are from Texas but as of right now the sun hasn't been out for almost 2 weeks due to a combo of rain , sleet, and snow.
I will get the alcohol today and hopefully tack down a dropper bottle at a pharmacy in town.
Is it 'normal' for a remedy to stop working and work over into a different remedy category? It is just odd that it hasn't worked as well lately as it has in the past. As before the changes were usually very noticeable and rapid.

Hi-
don't know why I thought Fla.
When a remedy works, you stay with that remedy until
you have exhausted it.
The 30c of Sepia works, but one should not have to keep
taking it constantly.
You can go up and see if the higher potency works better.
When you use the dropper bottle and do the hits, it changes
the potency up slightly, so I am testing out potencies.
However,if you have to keep taking things, there is
many times an underlying physical problem. Vitamin D
is more than a vitamin, it can act like a hormone-
The FDA indicated amounts of things, are way off.
Please go to the Dr. Mercola site and read about Vitamin
D. I would like her to get tested on her levels again.

I changed my mind. Use the 30 c in the dropper
bottle and lets see how long one dose lasts.
I think the Vit D may be the real problem here as
to why she has to keep taking the remedy.

Would it be wise or would it hurt to grab her a vitamin D supplement from the store and have take it as well?
superdave972 9 years ago
No. Get the facts first(testing)
There are different kinds of
Vitamin D. Too much Vitamin D
is toxic. There is much controversy over the levels, but
the Gov't levels of everything on Vitamin bottles are way too
low.
I know several people who had depression problems due to low
Vit D and then were given pharmaceutical grade prescription
from the MD (Seattle gloom) but then the levels have to be
checked again so there is then not overdose of it.
Always the best, is to do things naturally.Make sure the diet
is balanced and has the right things in it.

Ok I located a dropper bottle finally.
I know you said the ratio of water to alcohol is 5:1, but what amount total do I add to the bottle or does it matter?
My wife just mentioned to me her blood test had also shown higher than normal iron levels but nothing else was noted out of a normal range.

Hi- Just fill the bottle up with water.
Then pour out what you think is one fifth of the water.
Then pour in the alcohol till bottle is at the top again.
Is there iron in the vitamin pill? then I would stop
that.
Does she crave or eat a lot of iron rich food, like
spinach ( or look up iron rich foods)
If so, she can eliminate those.

I believe there is iron in it. And she craves sweets and sugars, salty foods also like tortilla chips.

Here is the 3-day update.
She has been sleeping fairly well and overall mod has improved. She has been very talkative and a bit more 'aware' of what is going on around her. She has not yet gone to a quick care center to have blood work done. She has not had any sexual thoughts or actions as she had before. Her period started 2 days after she took the last dose.
