cat suffering from idiopathic cystitis
Hello...If anyone can help I'll really appreciate it! My cat is suffering from idiopathic cystitis. That means that has all the symptoms of cystitis (UTI) without having any bacteria... In addition has chronic kidney failure. We control the kidney failure by giving her subcutaneously fluids every day. The problem with cystitis is that she is bleeding though the urine (sometimes really heavy) all the time and this situaton causes severe anemia... corticosteroids help some time but not always and it is very dangerous for her to take this kind of treatment all the time due to kidney failure.... I'm searching for a way to stop the bleeding... I have tried phosphorus 30 last week (one off) and the bleeding stopped for a couple of days. she had an injection of cortisol 2 days ago... today she was bleeding again i gave her again phosphorus, bleeding stopped for a while but now she is bleeding again. I'm not sure if I even can give her phosphorus due to the kidney failure (cause phosphorus is totally forbidden throuugh diet). If anyone can give some advice...I'll lose her because her hematocrit is really low... :(
