Urgent Help for General Anxiety Disorder

Hello all,

I have found this forum after my Hypnotherapist told me about homeopathy. I have General anxiety disorder which got very severe since 1 year. I am takip hypnotherapy and medicaation since than. Although my overall symptoms improved in good way, I couldnt get rid of this awful mental sickness. I am really helpless and need consultation from an experienced homeopathiest.

My detailed information is as below..

Sex: Female Age: 29

1. Describe your main suffering?
I have generalized anxiety disorder, and been to emergency 2 times because of panic attacks

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Stiff shoulders&neck, shaking hands, burning sensation, feeling blood circulation on head, always sleepy&tired, Edema of legs.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Anxiety, Fear , Feeling Alone, Helplessness, Afraid not to be able to protect myself.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Heart palpilations, stuck shoulders&neck, burning sensation

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
It started little by little since 2008. I had a trauma, when 3 thieves brake into our house when I was alone at 7 pm (unexpected time). I ran to my room and locked my self and started yelling so that they left the house. I did my master abroad . It worsened when I started my job..

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
It is worse between morning- noon.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
It is worse at work place, crowded places, new places, with people older than me, with people that I dont know well, with male people, with business people, during talking and eating and also when I didnt slept well or when I am sick.
It is better when I am at home, when I am with people that I know and trust.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
It has external stimulis as written below..

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Cold dry weather.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
Since GAD, I am moody, nervous, suspicious, lazy and quite .

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Nothing
- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
No
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Yes, light for sure.
- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
No

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
I love my family and friends. I am single.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Afraid not to be able to protect myself. I dream that I can not run away fast, and get caught.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I crave red meat, salty stuff. I dont like pumpkin, cauliflower, cabbage and leek

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Excessive

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Sometimes very less, sometimes very excessive.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
Hot Milk causes diarrea

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
I sweat a lot as same as all members of the family. Mostly from armpit.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
I have constipation mostly.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I don’t wake up during the night but when I wake up I feel not rested. I mostly sleep on one of my sides.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
Yes.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
My general awareness is very high. I analyse and understand very rapidly.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
I am taking cipralex 20 mg *1,5 + xanax*0,5 daily

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Diabetes (old age)

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
I am 1.70cm, 65 kgs. I am a well looking blond with green eyes.

24. (ONLY FOR FEMALES)
- Are the periods early, regular or late in general? How long do they last? ,
Regular in 28 days
- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?
I get angry and eat a lot.
- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?
Have very low flow. Duration is 3-4 days.
- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?

- Do you notice any clots in the flow?

What medication are you on right now? dose strength and how often?

First go to this site and order the CD set or order the book-

Dr. Weekes passed on in 1990 but she was a specialist in panic attacks
and anxiety-And her explanations and advice are totally correct.

In a nutshell, what happened was you had a shock. Memories from
shock and trauma are stored differently- in the brain. They have
a chemical coating to set off additional panic if any sensory SIMILAR
things show up- this is a survival mechanism of the brain and the
low part of the brain takes over, shuts down blood flow to the front
brain so your 'logical' mind is offline and then releases adrenaline
and floods your body. After the first 'shock' you have no reason to
use these chemicals ( fight or flee) so your body experiences a lot
of uncomfortable feelings, terror etc while the flooding is going on.

The next problem is Fear of these attacks happening again which
creates more of them and adds memories to the storage of when
and where you had more attacks.

If you understand the mechanics you start to get control back and
then the survival over- ride does not go off that quick and you
can stay in your 'logical' front brain and calm yourself.

The remedy you need to release the stored emotional impact of
this- is Ignatia. However, Ignatia is going to bring up the 'feelings'
of terror and anxiety etc and they will come up but only stay for
around 20 minutes to an hour and then go on to the next one.
So if you do not prepare yourself or understand what is happening
or are alone and getting more anxious then you should wait on this-
till you have an environment where you feel safe, have someone you
trust there, and then take it.

It will release a lot of the stored emotion in the cells and after
you will feel much more calm. Ignatia if taken right after a trauma
will stop the memories from getting stored in trauma centers.

I Think you should read the book first, or listen to the CD's and absorb the information.
Then, when ready, take Ignatia 30c- 3 pills in a half cup of water, take a tsp as one dose.
Take one dose as a test dose, see what goes on and report back the next day.

Or go see a homeopath in person to work with you on this..

Dear simone first of all thank you for your quick response. As I am taking therapies from my hypnotherapist which also a psychologist, I deeply know my condition. We have tried lots of strategies to get over it but 'that fear' is so intense that I can't control :( because I can not even think at that moment.. But thanks god, at least we managed to shorten the duration and afterwards effects.. In my country homeopathy is not legally acknowledged yet, so it is not an option to find someone. My hypnotherapist just started to search homeopathy and admits that she is a newbie. She already gave me a remedy but I don't know what is it exactly. I ll ask her when I visit her next time. Until than I wanted to get other ideas so I can ask for her advice and also her mentors'.
As I have written above I take 1,5 cipralex (20mg) and half xanax daily..
Have you ever tried ignitia with your patients before?

Yes..

The ignatia works well on having the emotions and fears
etc come up and out of the body- once that happens
the triggers for these things are nowhere near as strong.
If she is new at this- not a good thing in your state to prescribe for you.
You can do online skype sessions with a qualified person if there is
no one in your country.

Dear simone,

I have read on boirons web page that the reccommended dose is five pallets per day, and read peoples reviews that they take it daily.. I am confused a little bit.
As these remedy is not found in Turkey, ı will order it online and have to wait couple of weeks. I am just afraid that it will not work again and ı have to order another remedy and wait for another couple of weeks..
Therefore I would like to ask you if there is other optional remedies so that ı can order them all together not to lose more time. Thank you for yourunderstanding.

Hi,

boiron and other companies are required by law
to put dosing instructions and also a line saying
one thing the remedy can be used for on the bottles
and pilles containers-puttin dose amounts on bottles confuses
people bc it does not work like Western medicine.

One has to understand how homeopathy works.
When a remedy has an action upon a person, good
or bad you stop taking the remedy and let it work,
otherwise you overdose yourself and bring symptoms
back. Every person reacts differently and each
remedy is given for hundreds of different things,
from anxiety to having a sore throat. You can look
at the top of this forum and click on remedy names
and then look at all the symptoms they are given for.

What I am going to ask you has to do with getting more in depth about
what you answered on the first form. I have to look things over and
have specific questions just for you. I did not want to go into all of
that if you wanted to work with a homeopath via skype or phone,
which btw I think is always the best option rather than an online
forum. So think about this, there are other homeopaths that can
work with you also by skype, two that I like are Hans Weitbrecht a German
homeopath in Ireland who is less money than Mary, and very
well known also- and Mike Andrews in the UK who will do an initial
Skype session for free to determine if he thinks that is a good way to go.

If you want me to go ahead, I can have some questions later today.

Ok, until then I can give additional info..
I have a atopic skin and have blood circulation problems at my legs (varicose, eodema, lots of cellulite). I had a checkup I don't have any illness. I feel sleepy and have brainfog 1-2 hours after waking up. I have always been a slowmotion person, and fatigue since childhood. I get easily tired. I have a very tough being, I mostly surpress my feelings even to my self. Therefore therapies took this long I think. I don't admit bad feelings. I smoke. I feel more self confident when I have a relationship.

I am going to have these questions and maybe more, as I want to determine
what you have to order, when you order.

I still think Ignatia is the first thing to use here to take off the shock and trauma
of what happened.

So these other questions are more to determine what you would have
needed if the trauma had not happened.

1. Please make a timeline of the diseases in your life- what age they appeared,
what went on before they appeared even if it seems unrelated.

2. What is the relationship like with your mother and father? And siblings.

3.Brainfog in the morning- Was this always the case? and if not is this
from the medications you are taking?

4.Atopic skin? do you mean Atopic dermatitis- or would it be diagnosed
as eczema? When did this start? What does the skin look like? What are
the symptoms? What have you been taking for it? What helps it feel better?
What makes it worse? Has it ever gotten better for long periods or
worse for long periods of time?

5. Do the same on the varicose veins as above.

6. What foods do you really like ( before trauma)
What foods do you hate ( before trauma) I know the hot milk gives diarrhea but
do you like it? Do you have any food allergies or other allergies?
Do you like or hate - salt, sour, bitter, sweet?

7.do you like your food warm? Do you like drinks warm?

8.How do you react to drafts?
exposure to the sun?
changes of weather?
warm rooms?
warm baths?
warmth of the bed?

how do you react to cold food or drink?

Do you catch cold easily?
Do you have cold parts of the body?

Do you crave open air or want open air in the house?

Before trauma, how do you feel about sitting? standing? lying down?

Were you restless and liked to move around?

How do you feel about being near the sea?

-the thing is I didn't had any important disease, just cold like stuff. I only had ulcer on the last year of university which was a very stressful year

-had a problematic relation with mom. My father works abroad so I was always missing him. Not very close with siblings, but have no problem.

-no it is from the childhood..

-it is eczema. I have it on my face in the middle as a butterfly. I have it since puberty. My brother also has it. It gets worse by eating junk food and oily stuff, and also with stress. I have burning and itchy red lessions and they peel-off. I don't use any medication. I wash my face often and put some antiseptic creams and wait them heal. On the last year of high school it got worse (we had the university test so was full of stress) . Summers it gets better bc of sun bathing. Touching metals except gold also gives me skin rashes. I can only wear gold jewelry.
5. Do the same on the varicose veins as above.
-i have them since 12. Ýt started on backside of my legs under the knee at inner side. They get worse when I stay stand up too long, sit too long and also heat is not good. Ýt gets better when lay down and put my legs upper and wash with cold water. I had a esthetic treatment where they inject some stuff within the veins. They disappeared at that moment but in one year got other ones just next to the old ones. They are not the capillary ones,they are bigger veins.

What foods do you hate ( before trauma) I know the hot milk gives diarrhea but
do you like it? Do you have any food allergies or other allergies?
-I mostly like sandwiches. I crave bread and red meat. I don't like gassy vegetables. I like hot milk, I don't have any food allergy.
Do you like or hate - salt, sour, bitter, sweet?
-i like salt but do not over use it. I like bitter. Sour makes my ulcer hurt. I am not much fan of sweets.
7.do you like your food warm? Do you like drinks warm?
-I don't like very warm stuff.
8.How do you react to drafts?

-No special reaction to drafts. I like warmth in sunny weather but I can not look at sun, too much light bothers me and my eyes. During changes of weathers I feel sleepy and depressed. I like warmth in general.

-i like it.

-when I was a child yes but since the anxiety not much..

-yes my back (between shoulders) and my feet.

-when feel anxious I like being in open air. But normally not, bc I feel cold very easily.

-I like lying down mostly..

Were you restless and liked to move around? -Before not but after anxiety yes definitely..

How do you feel about being near the sea?
-In general I like being near by the sea, it gives me peace. But with swimsuits not,cause I am not secure with my body and cellulite legs.

Thank you for at least trying to help. The thing is I don't care the rest of the illnesses. It had been a year with full of fear.. The only thing that I care to be a normal person without unknown anxiety flashes.. Hope I ll manage that some day! I'll try the other options. Have a nice day.

You do not understand what I am saying here. This is all about
how to use homeopathic medicines for curing you.

You asked me to look at what other remedies you might need.

Homeopathic remedies work by boosting your life force/immune
system to do the healing of the body.

The way you pick the remedy is by MATCHING symptoms of the body
( being very general here-but this is why I asked the questions I did)

You match the very individual symptoms to a remedy that would
cause those problems in a healthy person.

The body will not tolerate two similar symptom sets- what happens
is your life force is stimulated then by the similar remedy and it
starts to clear out ALL imbalance in you - starting with the last
thing you have.

Sometimes a person has to have a remedy for a specific thing- like
a fall or broken bone, or a trauma. If nothing else is going on then
the trauma gets healed and people move on. But, in some cases
there is an underlying reason why the trauma is not cleared up-
bc the body/mind is under physical stress. You are under physical
stress with digestion, your veins and eczema, so just the trauma
remedy may not clear up things 100 percent and you may need
something else.

You asked for homeopathy- this is how homeopathy works- it is not
like Western medicine- take this pill- it is holistic and has specific
ways to find the medicine to heal you and how to supervise how
that medicine is working.

If you don't want to do homeopathy- then I would try Chinese
Medicine- go to a very experienced acupuncturist.

I was saying that if they are not connected my first priority is anxiety which is killing me slowly. And with other options I meant your recommendations. I think a misundertanding occcured. Anyway thank you for your time.

They can be connected-there is no good way to tell until you take
a remedy. Ignatia is one of the first remedies given for shock and trauma. So
I would order it in 30c pills, smallest amount #6 pills from Helios Homeopathic and
also order the next one up which is 200c in pills.

Take one test dose of 30c, mix 3 pills in a quarter cup of water and
take one tsp. as a dose. What could happen is A. nothing B. you get a bit sleepy
and start having emotions and memories coming up of the incident.
C. you just feel better with nothing coming up and out-take it on a Friday
evening when your weekend is free.

We are looking for Option B to happen. Then you let things come up
and out for however long it takes and do not take more, until advised.

Btw, if and when you try this, no coffee on the day of, and for
several days after, ( you can have tea) no strong flavors like garlic and onion. Have
nothing to eat or drink, for half hour before and half hour after taking.
