Varicocele

I am 47 year old male. I had mild pain in the scrotum 2 years back. When I consulted the physician, he gave me a course of antibiotic and some medication suspecting an infection. He also suggested that I get an ultrasond of the scrotum done which I got it done but it was clear. I recently had mild pain in the scrotum again, to be precise a dull discomfort and not a pain. I consulted a Urologist this time who suspected a Varicocele and asked me to get an ultrasound done with Valsalva manuever and I was diagnosed with a bilateral Varicocele this time.I asked the doctor who was doing the ultrasound whether it was critical and needed any treatment. He told me if I am asking for surgery may be not at this stage. However the Urologist felt that since I have been diagnosed with Varicocele, I have to take a call if the discomfort is more and whether I want to get the surgery done.
My symptoms are very mild, I have a scrotal discomfort once in a while which normally subsides if I wear a Jockstrap/ scrotal support for few days.
I was going through some of the posts in this forum on Varicocele. In some of the posts I found Sahay recommending Hamamelis 3C for Varicocele. He had actually suggested 2 pills(1 if bigger globule)every 3 hours but to a person who does not have pain currently he suggested 1 globule thrice a day is enough. He also suggested compress with Hamamelis Q mother ticture (1 teaspoon in a glass of water).
I am following this regime for me too. Would like to know if it is okay for my condition. I would also like to know as to how to do a compress with Hamamelis Q.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Without details its a trial & error, some of the crucial info needed is:

Type of pain (dull, throbbing etc)
What makes it better
What makes it worse
How do you feel emotionally & mentally during this pain
Did you ever have any injury which caused it
Any other health issues you have

Thanks for the response. To be honest I do not have any pain. Over a period of 3 years, there were 2 occasions where I had mild scrotal discomfort. It is only that I have been diagnosed with Varicocele while getting the Ultrasound of Scrotum with Valsalva Mauever done.
First time when I had scrotal discomfort, I took medication including Antibiotic whatever was prescribed by the physician. However second time , almost after 2 years when I had some discomfort,I did not take any medication.
What Makes it better - Scrotal support. Sometimes I use Jockstrap/Scrotal support for few days and sometimes I just wear 2 underwears to give better support.
What makes it worse or for that matter initiates discomfort - Lack of scrotal support. I have seen on Sundays or a holiday when I am just moving around in my Pyjamas/Track pant without underwears or I go for a walk without wearing the underwear.
I never had any injury and do not have any health issues.
Why I want to go for some medication - Since I have been diagnosed with Varicocele, I should take some preventive medication so that you don't reach that stage where you have acute pain or discomfort.
I understand that there is no cure for Varicocele but I am sure one could take some preventive medication to keep it dormant.

Imo, your case doesn't warrant any action.
