The ABC Homeopathy Forum

adhd, ocd, ptsd, fasd

My adopted daughter, age 12, was diagnosed with FASD, OCD, PTSD and ADHD when she came home from Russia at age 2 yrs. Although she is highly functioning, she has trouble with her voice level, reading social queues (interrupts, gets in peoples face, etc.), stresses out easily, and has challenges focusing for a full day of school, or on a subject for than 5 minutes at a time without interruption. She wakes early and is moves and talks all day until she goes to bed at night. She is like a little hummingbird, moving at full speed all the time. We finally broke down and put her on Strattera (but have not been convinced that it does not work at all, and have since taken her off the medicine and have taken her out of school to homeschool instead). I am trying Vatrum Album 200c and Stramonium 200c. It seems to make a small difference, but I am concerned about mixing vodka with filtered water and the remedy pellet (due to her fetal alcohol syndrome and the alcohol). I have created remedies this way because I was taught to create them this way and it saves money when I can create a full liquid remedy off a couple pellets.

While I realize there may be no remedy to address all the issues, I am hoping to take the edge off the stress, volume and sheer craziness that she creates every waking moment of the day.

I have three questions, if you would please help me. I am desperate:
1. Is there any other non-alcohol additive that I can use to create a home liquid remedy from my pellets?
2. Is it okay to give her both these remedies or should I just focus on one remedy at a time?
3. Is a stronger dose recommended for issues of this degree?
4. Sulphur comes up in a remedy grid when I enter all the symptoms, but I’m not sure if that is specific to ADHD, OCD.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi-

I have experience with this as I have friends who have
had similar issues with children adopted from Russia
at similar ages.

You cannot diagnose and supervise remedy treatment
yourself on this- it is too complicated.

You should also only be giving one remedy at a time and you
can make remedies fresh in water if you need to.

I suggest that you email peterchappell At Gmail dot com.

He has practiced homeopathy for 40 years, and he has
developed a series of trauma remedies- One specific
trauma remedy is for adoption. You have to order this
from Helios Homeopathic Pharmacy in the UK.

I would ask his advice on this as I think he would suggest
the Adoption Trauma remedy first, and then go on
with supervision on what remains after that. He gives a lot
of advice free of charge, and then after trying this you may
need to work with a very experienced homeopath.

Giving things yourself like this, can suppress symptoms etc
and make things worse-I would start with contacting
Peter.
