baby with eczema
Hi there, I am wondering if you can help me with my son's eczema. He is 7 months old and we have worked with a homeopath, but not positive he has the right remedy. Would you help us please? I breastfed/ formula fed him since he was born, but rarely breastfed him now. He is so sensitive to everything I eat it seems. While I was pregnant with him I was taking zinc phos 12x daily. Which was determined by my homeopath to be my constitutional remedy. After I had my son he switched it to zinc Sulph 12x daily. I had at that point complained that my son had acid reflux and was not a very happy baby. When my son was around a couple months old he started to get a white scaly rash on his forehead. His pediatrician determined it was a dairy allergy. So we switched him to soy, which I was not find of. That night on the soy formula his cheeks became red and inflamed. At some point it turned into full fledged eczema. I called the homeopath and he sent us psor lm20 to be taken daily. His pediatrician who is"natural" minded wanted us to put him on a steroid cream because he looked very red, he was bleeding from his scratching, it was a mess. So we waited. His skin improved, never 100% but looked much better. We then just started him on the homeopathic remedy. His acid reflux which was gone came back the first dose. It has since somewhat gone away again. But his rash is still there with minimal improvement. Please help! He is 7 months old and I don't want him to be on steroid cream forever. Also a characteristic thing about him is he scratches when he is upset. He scratches behind his ears and the back of his head.Thank you for your time!

Why were you taking Zinc Phos daily? and then Zinc Sulf?
Why are you not continuing with your present homeopath.

He will be 8 months on the 9th. He is 18 pounds. I am not sure how tall he is, but he is in the top percentile.
2.) Physical appearance of the child e:.g. thin, chubby, tall, short:
He is a tall boy, slightly chubby but no more so than the average baby.
3.) Describe the nature of the child (shy, headstrong etc. give details) :
Is happy when he is played with, or is getting attention. Loves to be held. He wants to be held, or carried, wants to be included. I can't put him down for longer than 15 minutes, and usually even that is a stretch.
4.)Have the growth milestones (e.g. teething, standing, walking, talking etc. )achieved early, on time or late:
So far he is on time with everything. He got his first tooth at 6 months. He is not crawling on hands and knees yet, but does an army crawl enough to be able to get across the living room. He has not quite figured out how to move his knees yet. but I think part of the reason this is is due to him being held all the time.
5.What are the symptoms of the health problem
main symptoms of the health problem would be dairy allergy, and eczema. When he consumes dairy either in formula, or previously in breastmilk, he would get an allergic reaction that resembled cradle cap on his forehead. It was white and scaly. His cheeks would also get red, and somewhat swollen. He has eczema that I will attach a picture of. It is on his forehead, back of ears, in between the shoulders, on his tummy, back and under the knees and in elbow creases. He scratches at his face, mostly when mad. He also rubs his back against the carpet in a wiggle type of motion.
6. What makes the problem better without using medicines
coconut oil offers temporary relief. He is also better when he is distracted. Like in the bathtub, being held, drinking his bottle (which he loves to do)
7. What makes the problem worse without using medicines
Dairy makes the problem worse. Possibly soy as well. He is very sensitive.
8. How is the child behaving emotionally during this problem
Usually when he is angry, or upset he begins to scratch. But I do not believe that he is angry because of the itching. Not completely sure though. Like I stated above, he loves to be held, and played with. But otherwise gets upset if I am not holding him, or playing with him.
9. How long has the problem been there
It's tough for me to pinpoint when the problem started. He couldn't have been more than a couple months old.
10. What is the reason of the problem in the mother's view
The reason of the problem: Dairy related, I think maybe put him over the edge into an eczema state.
11. How is the child's thirst and appetite
Child is hungry frequently. Loves to eat. Loves to feed himself. Does not have much interest in eating without feeding himself, or through bottle.
12. What does the child like to eat
Baby eats formula as of now. Loves avocado, and veggies more than most fruits.
13. What does the child dislike to eat
Not sure. Like I stated above, he does not like fruit as much as veggies, but will still eat them.
14. Is there any strong preference to taste e.g. sweet, salty, sour, bitter
Not sure yet about preference of taste.
15. How is the stool & urine
stool is usually consistent. b.m.'s usually in the morning. He sometimes has hard stools after avocado, and then we give him fruit to help smooth it out.
16. How is the child's sleep
Child's sleep is mediocre. He does not usually sleep all the way through the night without crying. He used to sleep with us, however we moved him to his own room for our sanity. He would have to fall asleep while breastfeeding, and cuddled in bed, he did not like his own bed, or sleeping alone.
17. What is the child afraid of (animals, insects, darkness, alone, etc.)
Not sure what he is afraid of. Starving (joke, i put that in there because he is usually very mad when I make him a bottle, as though he is starving) He is very intrigued by our cat, and seems to like her. He does not like to be left alone, but not sure if it is due to fear.
18. Where does the child sweat normally
Sweat: mostly would sweat on feet I think. He doesn't do much strenuous activity yet.
19. How much does the child sweat?
He does not sweat while he sleeps or anything, so not too often.
20. Any problems with nose, throat, ears, chest
He has had croup before. But nothing recurring. He gets colds often it seems. In which he sneezes and coughs.
21. Is the child normally cold or hot
Cold usually I think. But sometimes he can get hot quickly.
22. Was it a planned pregnancy, if not, how did you feel on finding about it
It was a planned pregnancy, however it was sooner than expected. I found out after I had eaten salmon and felt nauseaus. I also developed an aversion to grilled chicken while pregnant. And craved sour things, mostly lemonade.
23. How was the pregnancy of the mother(morning sickness, bleeding, happy, sad, tense, etc.)
Happy, a little anxious, a little overwhelmed from time to time. I felt sick in my first trimester, but never got sick. I also did not like being pregnant towards the end, in the third trimester. Which has been common in all 3 of my children.
24. How is the relationship of the mother & father
Mother and Father are happy together most times. We on occasion have arguements with each other, which is usually just pent up. We both tend to brush things under the rug, until it becomes a problem. But are generally happy people.
25. What diseases run in your family (mother and father) Maternal Grandma has fibromialgia and allergies, and dairy intolerance, also has sleep apnea, and has had gall bladder, and tonsils removed due to issues. Maternal Grandpa has M.S. mother had asthma, and dairy allergies as a child, but grew out of both. Currently has seasonal allergies, a bit of anxiety, and depression that surfaces from time to time.
Father was adopted, so unsure of previous history. However, father had skin rashes as a young child and milk also disagreed. He can tolerate cheese in any quantity. Only milk upsets him.

HOW TO TAKE THE REMEDY:
Please take one dose. Just one dose. Not daily.
Report back after one week using the format explained below.
WHAT IS A DOSE:
If remedy is Pills/Pellets:
One dose is one pill.
Dissolve the pill in your mouth.
If remedy is liquid:
Put one drop of the remedy in half glass of water, stir and take one tea spoon from it.
Thats one dose.
FOR CHILDREN:
If the child can't safely suck on the pill/pellets then one dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it.
TIME OF DOSE:
At night before sleeping.
Dont take any more dose or any other remedy unless I tell you.
PRECAUTIONS:
Dont take any other homeopathic remedy during this treatment.
Give a break of at least 10 minutes before eating/drinking anything before or after taking the remedy.
During the course of treatment, dont eat/drink anything which you have never had all your life.
HOMEOPATHIC AGGRAVATION:
Sometimes the symptoms for which treatment is being done can worsen after taking the homeopathic remedy. This is homeopathic aggravation and a good sign. It usually dies down within 24-48 hrs. During this time you can use any non-medicinal means to keep yourself comfortable. If the aggravation seems excessive, you can use any & all means necessary (including taking allopathic medicines) to keep yourself comfortable. Keep your homeopath fully updated if this happens.
HOW TO GIVE FEEDBACK:
A good example of how to report your progress is by giving %age improvement or worsening for all your health problems e.g.
Emotions: e.g. Feeling of happiness improved 40%
Energy level: e.g. Feeling of tiredness reduced 70%
Main health problem: e.g. Nasal discharge reduced 50%
Other health problems: e.g. Acne increased 60%
Anything new: Depression: e.g. Loose stool started
And so on list all your complaints.
You can like/share my facebook page by searching payaftercure
HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE GETTING CURED:
Any cure in homeopathic treatment will always follow this rule (Herings Law of Cure) otherwise its not cure, just palliation. The cure must proceed from centre to circumference. From centre to circumference is from above downward, from within outwards, from more important to less important organs, from the head to the hands and feet.
IF I DONT REPLY:
If you dont hear back from me within 24 hrs, it is likely that the forums email didnt work. You can send me an email by clicking my username.
HOW TO ORDER REMEDIES:
You can get the remedies from various other online sources, use Google search for it.

Please take another picture of him and post here or email me so that we can keep a track of the progress.
The Sulf should help with teething too, if it doesn't let me know but don't give Tylenol.
Thanks for sharing my FB.

Please send his updated picture as of now.
I can work with your family but I have limited time, so we have to manage.
I'd wait around 2-3 weeks before adding new food.
