Acid reflux help for my 5 month old!!

Hello!
I have a 5 month old daughter. We had a few rough months with her crying non stop. We eventually narrowed it down that a med she is on call propranolol for a hemangioma is giving her silent reflux.
I did not want to give her another medication so I search for homeopathic ways to treat it. I came across a blog that explained curing it with nat phos 6x.
I tried that and it worked great. I gave her 1 tablet under her tongue after each feeding.
Anytime I tried to stop it though her symptoms came back. So she's been receiving it regularly for about 60 days. It seems now though it's no longer working. Her symtoms are back. Constant screaming, not sleeping well (she was sleeping 11hours a night) and arching her back.
Could someone please help with advice as to dosage or something else I can try to help regulate this?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You are most probably doing palliation and not cure. Please describe other symptoms, and I can try to see anything else comes up.

This symptom (screaming and arching back with pain) only appears at night time ?

By arching you mean like an inverted banana right (abdomen being higher than head and feet)?

Yes that's exactly what she does. But not only at night at all times throughout the day.
Also I've noticed if she burps she will start screaming after. She also has a cough. It's hard to describe but it sounds very similar to the cough I had with acid reflux when I was pregnant.
The Dr has tried increasing her propranolol dosage due to her getting bigger. But anytime I've attempted to increase it these symtoms come back. So I go back to the original dose and she's ok.
But over the last several days, without increasing it. The symptoms are back and nothing's helping.

What makes the cough better or worse?

So, you think burping worsens things?

The right remedy will cure the hemangioma too.

How is her mood ?

What else can you tell me about her ? Appetite ? Stool?

She doesn't always scream when she burps just sometimes. So I'm not sure if it's a fluke or if it's hurting her.

She only coughs and then cries when she is having the other symtoms too.

When it's under control she is very happy and smiling a lot. Very easy going, sleeps great. Generally eats every 3 hours without a problem. When she is not feeling well, the previously described symptoms. She will go from being perfectly happy to screaming and arching her back.
She is still eating well now. Other times though she doesn't want to eat at all.

The hemangioma is frustrating. She's on the propanolol and getting laser treatment. It's on the tip of her nose and it's a deep hemangioma so it causes the skin to bump out and it's a blue and red color. It grows really fast without something to control it.

And her stools are normal. She goes a few times a day. All seems normal with that, in comparison to her twin sister.

Any impact of having a bowel movement on her symptoms?

sameervermani 8 years ago
No doesn't seem to affect it

Talk a little more about her temperament and mood.

Normally really happy, smiles a lot, plays a lot, concentrates on things, will stare at something and really take it in.
When she gets hungry or tired you can tell right away because she will give out a good cry.
When she is going through the reflux she will be happy for a little while but just seems distracted and uncomfortable. Will suddenly start almost screeching as opposed to crying. Arching her back and acting as if she's trying to get away from something. If you try to hold her she will stiffen up and scream. When she is laying on her back especially she gets more upset.

you mean lying on back seems to worsen the pain?

Yes

Okay, please procure Dioscorea Villosa 30c, and next time she has a pain episode, please give her a single dose as follows:

Dissolve 2 pellets in 250 ml spring water in a bottle (leave the pellets in the water bottle for 15-20 mins and then shake gently; do not touch the pellets) and given 1/2 teaspoon from there. If she does not drink water, you can rub a spoon of this solution on the underside of the wrist (the palm side) till it gets absorbed.

Please keep this solution as it might be needed for future dosing.

Please report about what you see as the response in a few hours after the dose, especially the immediate response to the dose.

Do I continue with the nat phos after feedings?
Do I give her a dose of the solution everytime she has a pain episode?

What exactly is this and what does it do? I'm very new to homeopathic treatments.

No other remedy is to be given. Nat-Phos needs to stop.

Just one dose and report back after few hours.

About your last question, it will take me a lot of time to explain that. For what it's worth, I am a professional homeopath and adhere to strict homeopathic principles while prescribing. Rest assured, this will NOT harm your child.

Sounds good.
Can I ask what your recommendation would be to get rid of the beta blocker she's on for her nose?

Ecosgriff 8 years ago
Let's tackle that later. Need to see the response to Dioscorea first.

The healthfood store here says they have it but it's wild jam root and they have it in a liquid form. Would that be ok?

Ecosgriff 8 years ago
Order it online please.

You need the HOMEOPATHIC remedy in 30c potency not the herb itself.

This morning after Finley's dose of propranolol she started to have a pain episode. I gave her the dosage suggested. It's been an hour and she is still acting in pain and arching her back a lot. Just wondering what you suggest.

Ecosgriff 8 years ago
Hi Ecosgriff. I suggest you either take your poor sick baby to a doctor like a responsible parent, or turn yourself in to the authorities for child abuse. Your child is terribly sick and you need to give her proper medical attention, not homeopathic bs. You are guilty of prolonging her pain and agony by relying on nonsensical remedies prescribed by people with no medical degree and no scientific basis for their recommendations. Your daughter is writhing in pain, and you are wasting time ordering a "remedy" online? Shame on you. Take your daughter to a doctor now.

It seems that this is a side effect of the propranolol.

Please give her a dose of Nux Vomica 30c, in the exact same manner.

This remedy should be available locally at health food stores.

sameervermani 8 years ago
Ok thank you. After I wrote last she actually settle down and was very happy the rest of the day. If she does the same tomorrow should I try the nux vomica or this again?

Ecosgriff 8 years ago
Please don't change the remedy in that case.

In case she gets it again, you can use the same 250 ml solution you have, and give it 6 hard hits to the palm of your hand, and then give the same amount as first dose from there.

The hitting part is very important.

Ok thank you

I was wondering if we could discuss treatin the hemangioma? If I could get her off the propanolol I think it would solve this problem.
