Infant gas & reflux

I have a 3 month old exclusively breastfed baby that has had problems with reflux and gas from 2 weeks old. I have heard from others that taking lycopodium and nat phos myself and having it transfer through my breastmilk may be helpful. I am looking for advice before I begin
His sypmtoms are as follows:
Reflux:
-frequent spit up; occasionally projectile,
-often curdled, sometimes clear or opaque white
-largely unbothered by spit up, burping causes distress and he will have 'episodes' throughout the day of crying before, during and immediately after spitting up
-frequent hiccups
Gas:
-strains, cries, sometimes screams
-stiff, like a plank
-stomach sounds like a drum, noticeable gurgling when nursing
-appears to be most painful on his right side: he squirms and whines when I attempt massage or pressure on that side
-irritable with restless sleep (whines & whimpers in sleep, makes pained expression)
-worst overnight, from 2am-7am
-strains to pass gas and move bowels when awake (red in face, tense facial muscles) even though stool is loose
He is just starting to pass gas on his own through the night, but does not seem to get it all out, I often move his legs and pelvis to help him. It is not bad all the time, more like every second day

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I have prescribed for hundreds of babies and which I hope will help your baby too.

The remedy is Nat Phos 6x which is a Biochemic Cell Salt and is NOT a drug. It is absolutely safe in use and you may like to look it up on Google.

You will give baby half a tablet dissolved in milk a few minutes before every feed and the balance half immediately after a feed but you will not exceed a total of 6 tablets (12 halves) in 24 hours.

You may like to try to reduce the quantity of milk you give for each feed to enable baby’s digestion to stabilize. You will however feed more often. It is essential that you burp baby immediately after every feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

It is best not to vaccinate Baby till s/he is over 2 years old as the after effects in some cases can add to the problems with GERD.
Do not give the MMR Vaccine in One shot as there is plenty of evidence on the Web of severe side effects which can result. You are advised to give it in 3 separate shots if you must do so, after baby is 2 years old.

Do not give Baby any solid food till s/he is over 8 months of age.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

If you discover that baby does not respond to the Nat Phos 6x alone and this has occurred in a few cases, you will contact me again and I shall then prescribe another remedy to reinforce the action of Nat Phos 6x.

You will stop all other drugs you may be giving baby if you start on my therapy.

Thank you. I do have other questions:
In your opinion, is the gas/straining related to the reflux? Will the nat phos help with gas too?
How long after starting treatment should it take to see an improvement?
Specifically, at what point will I know to consult you again for further advice?
Will the nat phos need to be administered indefinitely or just until symptoms improve?
I am giving cocyntal (a homeopathic remedy, not a drug), should I discontinue this as well?

Why don’t you start baby on my therapy ASAP and observe how your questions will be answered after taking the remedy?
You must of course study and follow the therapy I have prescribed precisely.

You are invited to do a search on my Website
joedelivera.com
under "Baby GERD” and read the accounts of mothers who have confirmed that their babies were helped and the majority cured in a few days by my therapy aka “Joepathy”.

I have been using the Nat Phos as you directed for the past 3 days. I was giving 6-8 half tabs dissolved in milk (3-4 tablets) per day (before and after feeds) to my son as well as taking 2 after meals myself. I am observing that my son is still experiencing reflux episodes, which get worse as the day progresses. His sleep is poor, and it takes an hour or more of sitting/semi-reclining before he can sleep, and his sleep is restless with much fidgeting and whimpering. He still sticks his fingers down his throat to force himself to vomit, he coughs, gags and retches. His symptoms appear to be worsening, not improving. I am not confident at all that this remedy is working. Please advise.

It seems to me that Baby is not responding to the Nat Phos 6x alone and it is time to add Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose to reinforce its action.
You will make it as per instructions below and give half teaspoonful, twice daily.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Get Nux Vomica 30c in the standard pellets and insert just 6 pellets into a 500ml bottle of Spring Water.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Shake the bottle hard before you give baby half teaspoonful twice daily.

You will stop the Nux Vomica as soon as you find that baby is OK but you will continue the Nat Phos for as long as you feel that it is needed. NP is NOT a drug and is absolutely safe in use for long periods.

Report progress in 48 hours.
