This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
tuepne,

This is an open forum. Anyone can express one's views. But while doing so one should bear in mind not to be unprofessional, misleading, prejudiced, offensive, etc.

As far as I understand you are still a learner. I have even replied your queries in other thread. I could make out that you are somewhat biased about homeopathy. Had you understood homeopathy completely and properly you wouldn't have said what you have said about 'cause of disease'.

I have studied all three - allopathy, homeopathy and ayurved - very closely (Though Ayurved little less) and know merits and limitations of each one. But have seen results of ayurved and I really appreciate and respect the system. Moreover, being the most ancient Indian system of medicine I have special regards for it.

But that doesn't mean homeopathy lacks or is substandard. In fact, the principles of both these system go parallel / hand in hand to each other; only the presentation and terminologies differ. You need to study each one thoroughly and unbiased to understand this. Probably, you are finding it bit more difficult to learn and understand homeopathy, which is possible. Hence is your prejudice.

However, I appreciate your enthusiasm. But I would like to suggest you not to venture suddenly in advising treatments at your stage, though the forum is the best place to do so. Rather, you can be a keen observer which will give you lot of practical knowledge. It is not only unprofessional and imprudent to jump into a stream of thread and express biased opinion. We professionals can understand each others' intentions but think about the person at the receiving end. The patients will get distracted and disturbed buy such comments, their faith will be shaken. you may comment if something grossly wrong is happening, if you see someone giving a hazardous advise but prejudiced comment can be very well refrained.

Dear doctor

Its good to know that you have read about all three systems and respect ayurveda (oldest healing system).I also appreciate the free sharing of knowledge on this forum be it yourself , Sh gavin and others. Its not easy to take time out and help others freely and also educate on this forum. Long posts and answers of yourself and others are a testimony to
this.

My post here was not intended to belittle homeopathy but offer a different perspective on this issue.

You are right in saying that I am bit biased against homeopathy but that bias resulted from prolonged personal experience with it.

I also understand that this being a homeopathic forum my posts are ill placed. However I am an enthusiastic open minded learner and only biased towards truth.

You tell me I am a learner but I have studied ayurveda sufficient enough to share and discuss it.My posts are not prescribing in nature. You may have noticed that I encourage others to check things and judge for themselves rather than blindly prescribe to them.
It is meant to educate and offer ayurvedic perspective.

As a student I was in love with physics bcoz It is the most fundamental science.A simple equation or a theory explaining working of entire cosmos was simply awesome. In physics less is better hence simplest theories equations are preferred over complex ones .Thus the search for unified field theory.

Point I am making is it is the same simplicity one can find in ayurveda but yet profound and all encompassing.

I am willing to debate on aspects of ayurveda vis- a -vis
Homeopathy as this can only increase knowledge for all including myself.

I will only talk logic and if others are patient with me they may understand my logic. I write with conviction and don't impose on others. So I apologise if I am 'distracting to the thread but my motive is pure and simple: to learn, help and educate if possible.

No one should have a problem with that.

Let the patients have my perspective. Let him learn more and if he finds merit he can opt.
I have seen others prescribe ayurveda here including anti virus.

I have seen some parallels between ayurveda and homeopathy .why can't they be used in conjunction?

I finally state that ayurveda offers fundamental yet detailed reality of human universe than others and willing to debate only if it helps others.

Hi teupne

We can discuss these things outside the patient threads. Please open a new thread and let people comment.

Hi niiev

Give proper homeopathy a try for at least a couple of months.

I understand the desire to get relieved of the pains quickly, which is natural..,but as Dr.k polnted out , chronic problems take time to get resolved.

Please report after a week.

My queries:
Are your dreams old or new? Is there any, however little, change in their occurrence?
Is your toe pain more than what it was before taking the medicine?

1] dreams are new and yet meaningless. earlier too they were meaningless.
2] toe pain comes and goes. when it is there it ranges from 6 to 10 on pain scale [where 1 being low and 10 being high]. When it is not there it is less than 5.

though i am motivated to walk and go for exercise but the severe pain holds me back. this puts me off.

earlier i was never motivated for any strenuous effort making chores but now i go for them tho need bit of motivation and stronger will.

i am also worried about my BPH since i don't want to get operated and also feel embarrased when i have to walk out from my consultancy sessions often to release. often its painful and only partial relief is there. again after few minutes i have to move out for full release.

because of gas formation i am uncomfortable throughout.

i am quite selective about my eating habits since i Murthy sir started advising me. i eat less, healthy and in small qty. in the last 3 months i have reduced by 5 kg [95 now] and my target is to reach 80 kg within 8 to 12 months...

i will report after a week as requested. this is what i felt i should inform you.

best regards and thanks again!

For your gas problem you can use following home remedy:

Take 1/2teaspoon grated ginger (or juice) + 1/2teaspoon lemon + 2 pinch black salt + 1 pinch Ajwain (or powder). Mix them well with 1 glass (200-250ml) of water and take after every meal.

Don't drink water with or soon after food but about an hour later. Continue to eat little (Max 75% of your average appetite).

For weight reduction:
Your each meal should include legumes+lentils about 30% + Mix vegetables (Not more than 3 types in one meal) 30% + Polycarbs (whole grain cereals) 25% + Sundry (Fats, spices, etc)15%.

Keep variety in food items, no monotony. Spices should preferably be raw, not garam masala type.

you can easily achieve your target weight within 3 months if you include appropriate exercise. Expose at least 40% of your skin surface to morning (before 8.30am) sunlight daily for about 15 minute.

Dear Sirs [Dr. Kulkarni and Shri Murthy],

as compared to just before taking Pulsatilla 200C one dose and now, the observations are as under:
1] my left big toe pain is gradually reduced. however when i walk more it shoots up.
2] i like going in for walk which i earlier used to avoid, but the pain stops me after a while. even i am motivated to go for gym.
3] swimming which i was fond of earlier has taken a back seat.
4] my job requires me to read a lot and take keen interest in my work since i am a solopreneur but now i do not like reading and working. i have to drag my self to work.
5] there is a mark improvement in night wake up calls for natural emptying.
6] i am more lazy now.
7] some unknown fears grips me. no idea exactly what is that. its just there, actually i can feel it when i wake up in the morning.
8] now i wake up at late around 7 am whereas i am early to bed and early to rise type of person.
9] recently while flying i experienced a claustrophobia attack but no sooner the flight took off and there was enough cooling i was quite relaxed. but those 10 minutes when the door was closed were horrible.
10] feel more gas and light constipation.
11] more sleepy during the day.

Well, there is mixture of positive and negative developments. Overall I am not that happy about progress. I reviewed my prescription but it's being double confirmed.

There could be few reasons for this mess:

1. Discontinuation of some of the earlier medicines. (If you have not listed them earlier please do so). We can wait more for this.
2. I have referred to the case details you have given in the beginning for analysis. Could you please check once if all info is ok?
3. It is still bit early to expect better. We can wait for a while.

Overall at present it indicates waiting for a while.

1] whatever medicines i was taking i have informed you. and on your suggestion i have discontinued all of them except for high blood pressure.
2] yes, sir. all info is ok. if yu have anything specific to be known then i can surely answer.
3] no worries.

i will only report if there is change in me or my health condition.

warm regards,

Thank you and wish you happy and healthy Deepawali.

What is your present status?

DrKulkarni 7 years ago
1] there is slight pain the left toe - considerable improvement. the finger can move downwards but not upwards.

2] i have had 2 incidents of claustrophobia in this week.

3] i only work if there is pressure to work. else i like going to sleep during the day.

4] i was very fond of reading books which i hardly do now.

5] i am inclined towards joining a gym and walking. but long walking induces pain in the left foot big finger.

6] sometimes hip and knee pain start and subside of its own.

7] feel lazy and disinterested, poor focus, not a all passionate.

NIIEV16 7 years ago

Dr. kulkarni Sir and Shri G Murthy Sir,

c] least interested to work.
d] enjoy more family time.
e] body aches started like lower back ache, neck pain.
f] i see skin peeling off from the top part of finger nails
g] weight reduced by 300 gms.
h] the pain in the left foot big finger has reduced and there is downward and upward movement.
i] i did not get any fear or panic attacks - feel confident.

warm regards.

rajiv.

Niiev161 7 years ago
So far appears ok.
" there is downward and upward movement." What's that?

DrKulkarni 7 years ago
Dr.k

Perhaps earlier he wa not able to move the toe because of inflammation. The swelling might have reduced, and he is able to move the toe up and down now.

My inference. Any way, let Mr.Bakshi clarify.

Murthy

gavinimurthy 7 years ago
Yes Sir, what Shri Murthy Sir has inferred is correct.

inflammation is there...but the pain does not hamper my walking. may i apply ice on it, if you recommend...

Niiev161 7 years ago
Ok. Good.
You may use ice but sparingly when you feel discomfort at its peak.

DrKulkarni 7 years ago
Thanks sir. i will do as suggested by your esteemedself...
