This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Did it start because of some illness. How long since it started? Give exact locations of hair fall, condition of skin, etc

Hair loss in men is usually the result of one's physical temperament - strong melancholics have entangled blood vessels which are not able to remove waste products effectively from the body, including the follicles. Sexual activity increases testosterone in the blood and when combined with cholesterol (melancholics produce more of it in the liver) produces DHT - and this creates a 'gunk' which is deposited on the scalp in the form of dandruff. To combat this, avoid fat rich foods like eggs and potato chips...you already produce enough fat in your liver. A tried tested and true remedy which is effective is: Fenugreek seed (1000mg/3x day) taken internally to lower blood cholesterol levels... for best results it is best to cycle this herb (10 days use/ stop for 10 days.) Externally, nettle root tincture [1:5] applied externally on the scalp at bedtime. It will make your hair stronger and thicker. Nettle stops T from converting into DHT and has a high affinity for SHGB. It is also good to periodically brush the scalp well to remove any DHT laced sebum/dandruff which seems to smother the hair follicle and prevent the medicine from reaching the target area. Just make sure that you get high quality herbs...poor quality herbs are more than useless and poison one's respect for herbal medicine...if in doubt plant some yourself.

During summer, if you can stand it take a leaf of nettle and rub it in your scalp to stimulate blood supply to the area, (wear gloves) it will help clean out the bad blood... while it causes discomfort for the 60 seconds, this gives way to a cool, healing feeling... stimulate your scalp in this way only once a week, maybe 2 at most. This regime is just as effective as Propecia and Rogaine.
