Thanks John,

I just gave her the Conium water mix at 9:50 a.m....we are going for a drive today..she loves that :o)

The eye goop...like the stuff in the corners of the eyes in the morning sometimes...noticed there wasn't any this morning..that could be food related too...I started home cooking and fresh foods...no more kibble..almost a week ago.

Thanks also to checking with your chiropractor friend, I'll be interested to hear what he/she says.

I'll report back later today on how Bailey's doing.

Thanks again, Jory and Bailey :o)

hello ilovemypuppy,

How often do you take your doggie for a drive?

Have you noticed any correlation between taking her for a drive and getting the goop in his eyes?

Sometimes they get the goop as a result of debri that gets in the eyes while on drives.

Would be great if the remedy works on her eyes as well.

Pat2006 last decade
HI,

Doesn't seem to be any correlation to going for drives...she goes everywhere with me..probably we go in the vehicle three times a week.

Ilovemypuppy last decade
the eye goop had been occurring daily prior to this?

any odor from ears?

John Stanton last decade
Yes , the eye goop did appear regularly before this...ears are nice and clean, no smell.

She's having a really good day and moving much better..I am VERY encouraged !

Ilovemypuppy last decade
how is she moving about inside the house-as compared to before?

John Stanton last decade
She's moving better inside the house AND outside, but still best outside, John :o)

Ilovemypuppy last decade
ok--we'll see where this is going..

any new symptoms at all?even if seem not improtant?

John Stanton last decade
Well, let me see...I am noticing things like...she is more playful and more enthusiastic...more ready to go when I say 'go for a walk'...things like that like she used to do and be.
Just a brighter look to her face and eyes.

Last week...she didn't want to be massaged.....today..she asked for it, but sitting down close to me on the floor with her back to me, wanting a massage :o)

She also wanted a massage last night.

Ilovemypuppy last decade
Another observation...just now...lying in the sun on the deck, instead of in the shade..she normally seeks the shade.

Ilovemypuppy last decade
whats temperature there currently?

no notice change in appetite a all?

John Stanton last decade
It's 16.9 degrees Celcius or 62.5 degrees Farenheit here today.

Change in appetite...HUNGRIER than normal !

Ilovemypuppy last decade
Another observation, John....her left foot is now the same temperature as her right rear foot...before it was always cooler to the touch. Better circulation ?

Ilovemypuppy last decade
hmmm--well that is of inerest...also taught me i wasn't horough enough --never asked temp of limbs..as compared...

have noticed anything unusual concerning sleep characteristis?

have noticed anything unusual concerning sleep characterists?

***

Yes...she moves around much less during the night and she doesn't nap as much during the day.

Ilovemypuppy last decade
sleep characteristics----could this be due to more activity you both are envolve with? or some other tangile reason?

John Stanton last decade
Well, yes, very likely, we are both more active in the past two days because she has been feeling better :)

I just had her outside for her last pee before bed and she was barking at the peepers(small frogs that peep at night here this time of year) :) She is much more alert all round....it's really great to see.

Bailey has always been more active after sundown ever since she was a puppy (we got her at 7.5 weeks of age). I always wondered if it was because she was born after midnight (a remembered very active time) She was actually born at 1:09 a.m. :o)

Will report back in the morning :)

Ilovemypuppy last decade
Bailey was moving better again this morning on her outing before her breakfast.

No eye goop this morning :o)

I'll report in later today after we return from shopping and getting her weighed at the clinic. We have bee trying to reduce her weight and have reduced it by 3.5 pounds in the last month and a half. I am hoping to get her weight down a couple more pounds to be ideal.

Ilovemypuppy last decade
Hi John,

Bailey weighed the same as she did last week, so at least she is not gaining weight and we are starting to exercise a little more by making our walks just a little longer.

She slept most of the afternoon and was pretty good on our walk, but not as good as yesterday, I don't think.

I found out I will not get the Conium 30C and 200C until Monday. Should I give her another dose of the 3C water dose again and throughout the weekend?

Thanks, Jory

Thought I should clarify.....I think she was favouring that leg more today than yesterday.

:)

Ilovemypuppy last decade
Bailey got feeling frisky in the house and ran around and around and now is favouring quite a bit again....waited to hear from you John...you might be away...so I did give her another water dose of Conium 3C.

well doc says by x-ray--arthrictic situatin --whether metabolc or traumatic induced or structural--tehn trauma on top ..cant tell--thugh by x-ray---seems weight bearing joint only of that side (left) are affected as such..noyt usual if arthriric case--would affect other joints---unless--some trauma --young age occur to these s joints and susceptabilty of injury in waiting o occur..only thing i think was during when she was spayed--possible traumatize that side-(improper grasping of leg to move )-later show up as this...also .coud be genetic disposition---growth plates are shown and show she still formative years-but there is sclerosis formation ..

bottom line---arthritic condition of joints on that side...something occur --but what--not the trauma menioned --something years ago...

welll if metabolic/genetic we can hep ---if structural..thatis another story---malformation -structural part is hip joint (ball)--not round---this account for taht side being only showing arthritic type formations (sclerosis) on those weight bearing jonts...

no fractures though...
unlikely muscular/tendons--if affected only by copensation to real problem..

best we can do is--diet..raw food so as not encourage arthric state...no dairy...no processed an homoeopathic as we have been...this best i can come up with so far...

any way ---explain thorough her conditin today as compared...

John Stanton last decade
Thanks John, for getting this extra information from your colleague.

I am not quite sure, but you are saying that you and your colleague think that the problem is arthritis caused by old injury to the hip joint?

I have had four doctors look at the orginal x-rays and none said there was any arthritis..interesting. All said the x-rays looked clean. I wonder if the reproduction to e-mail pictures have caused the x-rays to look different? Possible ?

I stopped feeding Bailey any kibble about a week ago and started all home cooking (lightly cooked meats and steam veggies and legumes)no grains. I also supplement her diet with various nutrients and she has always taken joint supplements like glucosamine and condroitin. She also gets fish oils and hemp oil.

Our chiropractor and vet feel she benefits from this diet and that they see no arthritis, and they that her diet has been a factor in that.

I do not feed raw meat and have been advised against it because of possible bacterial contamination.

It's still early in the day here and she is still sleeping, I'll report in after taking her out for her walk as to how she is doing today....she was better by bedtime last night.

posible email affect ..i trust oc's opinion...i fgue if i say what i said t you--maybe get weirde out by it...

not necssarily trauma to hips--but posible mal-formed at ball/socket...

white lines in xay inicate scleosis--as mentined--this occur when formacation due to some stress on joints occurred--only this leg as best tell--when comparing sprawled out x ray...
take note each joint has thsi coating...as say --maybe email distort--but i need take al things in consider from my point of view--so as give best optin /suggestion..

dog is to be on al raw food diet--evn vegetables---as for bacteria--welll thta i sexactly what raw diet do --goo bacteria ..as well as bad--bt healh balance is based on ths...metabolic situations--we can treat homoeopatically -with right nutriants/enzymes and such..and best not use glusomine/codroitin...

hemp oil good...fish opil use less of--raw meat---not cooked...

she is yound and formative still --able to adjust raw iet now than later...your choice....i only tell..usualy from what i see--owners wait til dire illness comes and hope to do all they can do---best health care ..(preventative)....

anyway--just thoughts--

I can't believe I am suggesting this on a homeopathic site...but the dog lover in me has to respond. Call you vet immediately and as about a precription called Metacam. If you yourself have arthritus then call your doctor and get a prescription for Meloxicam, fill it, and dose it down for your dog. This way your copay kicks in b/c there is no generic available. If you try this...trust me, the pooch will be playing like she's two again.
