Need advice with calc phos

Hello there, I'm new to this forum and will try to make this brief, at least at the start....
My son was put on Calc phos (he's 15 years old), 1 LM once a day which was then increased to 1 LM 3 x a day. After about 11 days of this he developed an extremely severe headache that lasted for approx. 3 weeks. It went away when I took him off the remedy after about 2 days. A few days later we were told to put one of the "pills" into some water and give him 2 drops of that a day. Within 20 minutes of his first try the headache came back. We kept it going for a few days with no luck. Again the headache left when we stopped the remedy. A couple of months later we have tried again - once again, severe headach has returned, it's been 3 weeks and nothing helps get rid of it. We were told to continue the drops, that the signs his body were showing meant he needed it (which is quite possible, I'm not doubting that). I've taken him off yet again, he can't go to school like this, he just wants to sleep and every time he stands up his head hurts like crazy. We are giving it 3 -4 days to see if it goes again now he's not using Calc Phos.
My question is, what does this mean? Would maybe a different potency be beneficial? Could this mean that Calc Phos has already done all it can do for him or that Calc Phos may be the wrong remedy????

Help please guys, this is driving us crazy. Ask away with questions that you feel are relevent and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, so much for a short note.......

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
prescribing doc dont know what he is doing...chronic complaint ---=ALWAYS ANY CHANGE AT ALL--STOP remedy and allow settle if new symptom (never had before in life )then wrong remedy and indicatins are for new choice --based upon existing symptoms--with in mind old.

what is current appetite?how changed in past weeks?

how sleep been affecdted?

Homeopathic medicines have side effects if not prescribed according to the basic principle of this system.
Always use brand name Homeopathic medicine regular visits to a homeopath Physician a good suggestion for you.
Cant suggested you any medicine right now. Please remember that you should meet a Physician face to face so he can observe the symptoms carefully, unlike on phone or internet.

Thank you for your replies. The doc who gave us calc phos originally is a reputable homeopath who has had a lot of success according to friends who are more familiar with homeopathy than I - just their opinions. He told us that it would be ok to follow up with our medial doc who is also a homeopath and after the first couple of calls into him about the headaches that is what we chose to do, our doc. is much closer and was given permision to call original doc. to consult with if things got tough.

Laying down is the only thing that helps my son so sleeping is not a problem right now, he is dreaming more than usual and waking up once or twice but not with a headache, that comes after standing for a while. He has had headaches over the years, side effects of meds for adhd but none this severe or long lasting, nothing I give him is relieving the pain. Would this still be considered a new symptom? Last time he had this (on the drops) he was extremely sensitive to light, had to wear sunglasses to watch tv.
As for appetite, he feels nauseous half the time, more so when he's eaten so his appetite has been reduced quite a bit, he's skipping some meals or delaying them.
The original complaints that led us to Calc Phos were I believe, headaches (but nothing like this at all), mostly acid reflux (for which he takes Nexium), mild aspergers, adhd and anxiety. He is immature for his age, both physically and emotionally, puberty is late for him.
Thanks again

I forgot to mention that he is lactose intolerant, has just been taking sambucol in case it's a virus and has grass and weed allergies which haven't started yet in our area. His stomach has been upset during the last couple of days, the headache is in the center of his forehead and he seems to be getting the chills now. Is there anything anyone can recommend for the headache? Taking any kind of pain relievers has not given him any relief, it didn't last time either. If this is from the calc phos being the wrong remedy, can anyone give me an idea of how long it will take for it to "wear off"?

if had headaches before-as such --then no medicine and wait---if have been and no amelioration has occurred then need to respond with next remedy ---BUT--need know that during calc-phos usage must avoid all acidic foods and drinks (all fruits and fruit drinks;all carbonated soft drinks;vinegar;coffee;tea products...etc) also all sweets need be avoided as well as reduction in salt;no smoked foods...

can be possibal aggravtaion from any one of food articles used with calc phos---avoid the list above and allow symptoms stablize under this regime---after symptoms stablize into one ''look'' then can consider next plan of action----food/drink articles can be aded back into diet in time--but slowly--noting all efffect each substance has upon symptoms...

so somply put---NO MORE remeides/medicines---follow restrictions and note symptoms...
