7mo. old and 2 yr old bronchiolitis

Both my 7 month old son and my 2 year old daughter have come down with bronchiolitis--again! Were on breathing treatments--albuterol, but I stopped that because there is blood in my son's mucus and it scared me. I am also afraid to continue use of the bulb syringe to suction the mucus out for fear that maybe his nose is sore on the inside and that may be the blood? He is very rattly and not coughing enough to get it all out. My daughter is doing okay, she is old enough to blow her nose and it is running smooth and clear, but she too is very rattly.
I want to do someing SAFE and natural, so far I have been using a humidifier along with the pediacare vapor plug-in (waterless aromatherapy). Is there something else I can do or give especially my 7month old to help him breathe, that is SAFE?
Thank you,
S

No vaccines.
He is currently not eating well, and he is breastfeeding irregular, he begins to nurse and pulls away like he can not breathe well or swallow well while nursing.
It began last Thursday evening with an elevated temperature that was not quite a fever. By Friday they were both coughing a little and by Sunday rattling in chest. The mucus is a yellowish-white color except for the recent blood in it, and it is thick.
He has had four colds since birth, two were mild, and this one and one previous time turned into bronchiolitis, his breathing is very rattly and you can hear it in his chest with the stethoscope.
He weighs 20.5 pounds.
The only peculiar thing is that there is blood in his mucus when I suction it with the bulb syringe, which is why I stopped the breathing treatments, I was thinking that could be the cause of it, and they did not seem to be having any effect at all except for making him cry. He is not napping well, he wants me to hold him in an upright position while napping.
Also I need a remedy that is not animal derived, we do not use anything from un-clean animals (like snakes, pigs, etc. etc.). I prefer an herbal type remedy, or even better an at-home remedy of something??
Thank you,
S

what medicines /treatments used for past colds mentioned?

sucking mucous from nose?both sides affected as such?blood in mucous?

what percentage of nutition come from breast milk?

what is mother's state of health?

John Stanton last decade
p.s.

child pull away from breast feeding? ok

need simplify mother's diet first thing (because of breast feeding affect child)--if not done already---not certain her state of health as of lately---so mother AND CHILD ARE to avoid all acid foods and drinks (coffee;tea;all carbonted drinks;vinegar /pickled foods;alcoholic beverageds;all fruits and fruit juices;...ect)

no distilled water;no food with preservative or additives..

start there --stil answer questions in previous post

Yes, both sides of his nose are affected. Currently about 80%nutrition received through breastfeeding because he is not eating solids as much with the cold, (it was 100% until 5mos. old).
Neither he or myself drink fruit juice, coffee, alcohol, anything pickled, etc. none of the foods you mentioned except I do eat foods containing preservatives (cookies). I also limit my intake of milk and sodas. He has not used any medicines for previous colds, the two quickly went away (3days), the other incidence of bronchiolitis was the same as this time, his pediatrician put him on breathing treatments of albuterol, I noticed blood in the mucous after a couple of treatments and so I stopped administering them, and used only humidifier and the aromatherapy (menthol, eucalyptus, tea tree oil--on the pediacare brand plug-in water-less vaporizer). It took him a few weeks to get the raspiness gone the last time.
I am pretty healthy, average weight (129), rarely sick, but I do have low blood pressure and always have (probably eat too much sugar). I have developed allergy to cat dander and various pollens after having children. Also I have had slight eczema in the past, but no occurrences in about 6 months or so. My son also has slight eczema only on his legs, I have begun using non-fragrance sensitive skin soap. I am taking prenatal vitamins that are kosher/vegetarian.
At night he seems to be sleeping okay, he has started waking up about every 3-4 hours again, but other than that he is sleeping and smiley, I think the humidifier helps him breathe a little easier.
He seems to be coping well with it overall, he is still playful, it just sounds very bad, like a coffee-pot gurgling.
Is peppermint tea okay? It is no-caffeine and only peppermint.
Thank you,
S

My husband went to the health store and the lady there told him that I should get the Pulsatilla 10x instead. What is the difference potency-wise? Why do you advise the higher potency?
Thank you for all of your advice.
S.

mayfloweracademy last decade
yes 30c as told---lady at store dont know.

John Stanton last decade
why higher?--- lower extinguish effect sooner and likely impose some of unwanted aggravtion or symptoms of remedies nature.(due to lack of more dilutions)..non the less there unwanted--
